Alam Kita: Nature

According to stories, Alam Kita has the oldest stone house in Karimunjawa. Currently completely renovated inclusive with a beautiful outdoor kitchen in the same style as the original house. This house is the beating heart of Alam Kita, it’s the public space to eat, drink, or just catch up. Some workshops are also hosted over here at the big wooden table if there aren’t group dinners going on.

The Pendopo

The outdoor space for yoga classes and meditation sessions, a traditional open Javanese building. Positioned close to the beach for the most optimal experience of the natural elements such as wind, sea, and the sound of the waves.

The traditional Javanese wooden bungalows are designed for two people, all have an (outside) bathroom so you can watch the beautiful starry sky while taking a shower. The bungalows are decided to be a serene and private space, so if you want to take a moment for yourself after a workshop or just to relax because you feel like it, this space is perfect.

Take your dinner on the porch, read a book, and enjoy a calming shower. The rooms are comfortable with a fan, hot shower, great beds, and a beautiful natural design. Not only aesthetically nice but also well designed so natural elements like the wind can come through. Alam Kita’s bungalows together can hold a maximum of 20 people, it’s small-scale so the property never gets overcrowded.

One of the bungalows is the bridal suite, an extra special place with a four-poster bed and a wooden bathtub. The goal is to make Alam Kita electronic self-sufficient in the future by solar panels. Plenty of sun in Indonesia!

Alam Kita is located directly on the beach and this is truly the piece that makes the property complete. It gives guests the opportunity to relax and enjoy the sunset without running into other people. Besides that, you have the luxury of being able to walk straight into the sea and explore the beautiful reef in front of Alam Kita with its beautiful fishes and other creatures. If you are lucky, you will see rays, Moray eels, parrotfish, clownfish, sea cucumbers, crabs, and more.

Serene space

Close to the house is a serene space where guests can really forget about all their thoughts while enjoying an Indonesian massage (pijit), a treatment of Acces Bars®, or healing-related treatments.

Alam Kita has 10 beautiful traditionally-designed bungalows, spread all over the property with natural elements. Together, they form this oasis of tranquillity.

  • Rumah Transformasi - The bridal suite with a one king-size bedroom bungalow.
  • Rumah Inspirasi - A two single bedroom bungalow.
  • Rumah Kreasi - A two single bedroom bungalow
  • Rumah Zensasi - A two single bedroom bungalow.
  • Rumah Integrasi - A single queen-size and one single bed bedroom bungalow.
  • Rumah Manifestasi - A single queen-size and two single bed bedroom bungalow.

Ganesha is the Hindi god of knowledge and wisdom who puts you in the "Light of Insight". He is both protector and supervisor during your inner journey on your life path; from these thoughts, the Ganesha retreat originated. During the retreat at Alam Kita, they will guide you and the rest of the participants through three levels of consciousness without losing the sense of safety and security. During the retreat, you will pass through three different levels of consciousness:

Level 1: Recognizing who you are

  • Who are you - What will power and intentions do you carry in your heart?
  • Inspiration - The purest of ideas
  • The reason - What is your personal theme and what role does your ego play?

Level 2: Recognizing your heart connection

  • Acceptance - From love
  • Discipline - Judgment, perseverance, and the test of life
  • Harmony - Being in balance with yourself
  • Insight - You are building, you are bringing structure and overcoming obstacles

Level 3: Connecting in love with yourself and others

  • Creativity - Evaluation, you choose to let your fear go
  • Your "Ego" is in the co-operation mode - The base is formed, time to cover your mask
  • It is complete - Love, surrender, connection, and energy becomes physical

How are you going to do this?

To guide you through these levels, they use the special "Source" method.

  • Chakras and Mudras balancing
  • Energy exchange
  • Breathwork and bodywork
  • Guided meditations
  • Regression sessions
  • Kabbalah healing
  • Qi Gong

You are a Guru. Why? Because you have all the answers already in yourself. For Stef Schoolderman, "guru" means the person who brings "Light". Light is knowledge and information. As a spiritual teacher and coach, he’ll give you insights into your blockages to give you the opportunity to find solutions for the negative patterns in your life.

Stef will teach you to explore and develop your abilities for clairvoyance, clairaudience, clairsentience, clairsmelling, and clairconnecting and how to master these gifts. Sometimes, you will experience energies and spirits, for many like you who work with energy, it’s an important part of who you are. You are aware of it in daily life. During the Ganesha retreat, Stef will teach you to breathe in life and breathe out all of your negative emotions, to wipe it away, with tears and laughter, to let it go.
