Agnihotra or Agnihotra homa is an ancient Vedic fire ceremony, also known as fire meditation. ‘Agni’ stands for fire in Sanskrit and ‘Hotra’ means healing. Practiced at sunset or sunrise, it has been said to have great healing properties. Derived from Ayurveda meditation, Agnihotra is, of course, mostly practiced in India. However, it is not surprising to find this cleansing ritual practiced in other corners of the world as well. So, join an Agnihotra meditation retreat and be on your way to purify yourself!
