You will be accommodated at The Lotus Shores. It is a commune for the yogi, surfer, or conscious adventurer traveling to Siargao. With mindfulness and great care, the guests accommodation services balance, comfort, and community. Catering to the needs of each individual, you will be able to deeply experience the whole. Within the retreat, there is a dedicated yoga shala and the island's only-vegan restaurant.

Relax by the pool and wash away any stress or tension from the outside world.

The ashram is a two-level building with three accommodation styles to choose from. Each level has a maximum capacity of nine persons, sharing the two toilets and two baths. Each toilet and each bath are separate and self-contained to minimize the inconvenience of long cues.

Dorm room

On the second-level of the dormitory are three rooms, each with three single beds. The same-sex shared rooms are for single travelers, wanting to share or meet new friends.

Private double room

These private double bedrooms are located on the ground level. These rooms are available for single travelers who needs more privacy or also for partners which are available at couple sharing.

Villas

There are two villas which are architecturally inspired by the Japanese home. These self-contained living spaces have a king-size bed at the bottom level and two single beds on the loft, ideal for a small family or a group of friends who would like their own living space. The maximum capacity of the villa is four adults.

Program

Leave the planning up to Ananda Yoga Hub! Each morning, you will practice Vinyasa flow yoga, and in the early evening, you will practice Yin yoga. Meditation will be combined with the yoga classes either at sunrise or sunset. The whole-day schedule is already arranged by the Ananda Yoga Hub. It will be flexible according to the weather and tide, so you can prepare yoga.

The yoga shala is located within the Lotus Shores' serene tropical setting. The retreat offers the perfect place for rejuvenation and relaxation. The purpose-built yoga studio is designed for practicing yoga and meditation amongst the natural and peaceful surroundings.

Nourish the mind workshops

Ananda Yoga Hub have carefully curated workshops to delve deeper and to learn how to implement new healthy habits into the life back home. Tara will be coordinating and running most of the workshops with a focus on:

Daily schedule

Day 1 - Wednesday

You will have a welcome ceremony at 2:00 p.m. There will be a session of Yin Yang yoga and yoga Nidra followed by dinner.

Day 2 - Thursday

In the morning, you will practice Vinyasa yoga and meditation, followed by breakfast. There will be a surfing session. After lunch, you will have free time to relax. You will have your mindfulness workshop, and meditation plus Yin yoga session followed by dinner. After dinner, you will enjoy your spiritual movie night.

Day 3 - Friday

You will start the day with a morning Vinyasa yoga and meditation session, followed by breakfast. There will be a lagoon trip afterward. In the evening, you will have your mindfulness workshop, and meditation plus Yin yoga session, followed by dinner.

Day 4 - Saturday

You will have morning Vinyasa yoga and meditation followed by breakfast. There will be a surfing session. Lunch will be served afterward. In the evening, you will have Ayurveda workshop and Yin yoga session, followed by dinner.

Day 5 - Sunday

A morning Vinyasa yoga and meditation will start your day, followed by breakfast. There will be an island hopping adventure followed by mindfulness workshop. There will be a Yin yoga and meditation session, followed by dinner.

Day 6 - Monday

There will be a morning Vinyasa yoga and meditation session, followed by breakfast. You will enjoy rockpool snorkeling or cave pools, and mindfulness workshop. You will then have your Yin yoga session, followed by the farewell dinner.

Day 7 - Tuesday

As usual, today too, you will first practice morning Vinyasa yoga and meditation before breakfast. You will have mindfulness workshop and enjoy the relaxation it brings to your body, mind, and soul. After your lunch, there will be a closing ceremony.

Amanda sees her yoga practice as an essential part of her life. Her philosophy is that through yoga, you will develop an intimate relationship with the body, mind, and spirit. Her wish is to encourage everyone to begin their practice and open themselves up to the possibility of change in their lives on or off the mat. She brings humor to her class to let students know that a yoga practice is a fun and a valuable experience while exploring the possibilities of yoga to improve your health as well as the well-being of mind, body, and spirit.

Location

This retreat will take place at Siargao Island, Philippines. Siargao Island is the island paradise that people picture when they think the words "island paradise". Witness sparkling turquoise waters that are so saturated with color that it is hard to believe they exist outside of the photoshop. See and touch soft white sand that hides exotic seashells. Enjoy the beauty of an abundance of gently swaying palm trees that offer shade and fresh coconut juice.

The location also boasts plenty of natural features that lend themselves to outdoor activities, such as surfing, stand up paddle boarding, rock jumping, cave exploring, and more. The beauty and opportunity of the island is breathtaking. In addition to that, Siargao Island has a vibrant community of locals and foreigners that visitors are immediately welcomed into.

Food

You will be served three healthy locally-sourced meals per day. There are plenty of options for you to buy additional healthy snacks and smoothies through the day. For the majority of meals, it will be a beautifully curated vegan menu.

The variety is diverse and you will not even realize you are eating healthy vegan food. For your island hopping and lagoon trip, the lunch menu will be freshly caught seasonal fish. The fish is cooked over the coals by the local island people and served with rice, a special local sauce, and a selection of fresh fruits.

How to get there

Arrival by airplane

Please book your flight to arrive at Sayak Airport (IAO). Transfer from and to the airport is included. Ananda Yoga Hub will pick you up from the airport. You have few options to get to Siargao Airport. You can fly into Manila or Cebu International Airport. Then, there are daily flights from Cebu to Siargao Airport via Cebu Pacific Air, or from Manila to Siargao via SkyJet Philippines.
