There are 6 rooms in this spacious erstwhile coach house, five with 2 beds and one with 1 bed. You can also enjoy the cosy living room, the dining space, the nice veranda and the splendid garden. In the outbuilding, you can find the yoga hall with its serene and meditative atmosphere. There is a sweet yoga-cat who is not allowed in the yoga hall or in the sleeping rooms, but she might be available for a hug or wonderment in the garden or the living room.


This yoga and meditation retreat holiday is a lovely relaxed week in which you can let go of all tension. Enjoy the endless moment in the present and recharge yourself with life-loving spirit. You are being offered a nice varied program with space, inner peace and relaxation.

Hatha yoga

Each afternoon, you can join a hatha yoga lesson. The lessons are challenging and well doable for as well beginners as more advanced yogis. Tune into the possibilities of your body, so you get the most benefit out of it. Next to yoga poses, you will also do breathing exercises, yoga meditations and of course relaxation. The hatha yoga philosophy is not focused on a deep contact with your body, but you will take into account the tantric principles out of which the hatha yoga developed, which means you will focus on the awareness in your body. Marloes will consider your body a wise adviser and leading for how you can practice the yoga poses best. None of the meditations will carry you away from the contact with your body or with the earth, because she believes that especially the path downwards to the earth is important, becoming more and more present in your own body. Every night, you will do a relax yoga session, so that your sleep will be extra rejuvenating.


During the retreat you will do diverse meditations of yoga and other experience oriented traditions, like sufi or gnostic paths. Silence and sound meditations, mantra, movement, standing, sitting or laying down meditations. Visualizations or focusing on what you perceive in your body. All meditations have their own effect, yet all lead to coming home’, living mindful and give you peace of mind. You have the option to do them all or just join the meditations that are most appealing to you, the choice is yours.

Daily schedule:

  • 08:30 – 9:30 Breakfast
  • 10:30 - 12:00 Morning meditations (diverse meditation forms)
  • 12:30 – 13:15 Lunch
  • 13:15 - 14:00 Helping out / Karma yoga (or other time, depending on task)
  • 15:30 - 17:00 Hatha Yoga
  • 18:00 – 19:00 Dinner
  • 20:00 - Relax Yoga (Yin yoga)

Next to the activities, there is sufficient time to take a nice walk, relax in the garden, play guitar at night and much more. The Wednesdays, there is no class in the afternoon and you might want to do our own practice or visit the city Deventer or rent a bike to go to a beautiful lake on bike-distance.

And if you prefer at any time to relax in your own way rather than joining all of the activities, no problem; the activities are of an excellent standard, but they are not compulsory (except for the Karma yoga). Therefore, couples could also join this holiday even if only one of you would like to participate in the group activities. To guarantee the peace aboard, the minimum age is 18.

Course information

Everybody contributes to the yoga and meditation week. Therefore, some household-tasks are part of the program.

What to bring

Please bring your own bed linen with you (fitted sheet, duvet cover and pillowcase) or if needed, you can rent it for 12.50 EUR.

Travel assistance.

The retreat will be held in Twello, which is easily approachable by car and public transport (15 minutes walk from the station). You will get the latest information a few days in advance.

Included excursions

The Wednesday afternoon is free to go to Deventer, rent a bike to explore a beautiful lake or make a long bike-ride or whatever else you would like to do on your holiday.


Marloes van der Kamp
Marloes is a certified teacher with more than 15 years of experience. She has been interested in yoga, personal, and spiritual development since she was young. The renovation of a cargo ship to a passenger ship brought her enormous deepening and taught her trust and surrender. A deep trust that life gives you what is needed, even if it's difficult. Meditation is part of her life. She likes deepening an takes into account the tantric principles that were the origin for the Hatha Yoga. She strives to enthuse participants to integrate meditation and yoga in their daily life.


You will stay in Twello, in the Yogahouse. This is a splendid location in a beautiful environment for walking. Near the Yogahouse, you will find the river landscape of the Ijssel.

How to get there

Arrival by public transport

Twello is around 1,5 hours from Amsterdam by public transport, but the trip will be definitely worth it.

Arrival by car

If you come by car, there are free parking places nearby.

Arrival by train

Andere Boeg can send you a schedule on what trains to take once you know your time of arrival. From the station, it is a 15 minute walk to the Yogahouse.

Cancellation Policy

  • A reservation requires a deposit of 25% of the total price.
  • The deposit is fully refundable if the booking is cancelled up to 14 days before the arrival date.
  • The rest of the payment should be paid 14 days before arrival.
