Nestled naturally into a breathtaking landscape of The Green Mountains, central Vermont’s, The Killington Mountain Lodge has everything you need to relax, renew, and rediscover your passion for wellness and adventure. Beautifully designed rooms are carefully sited with stunning vistas of the surrounding mountains. All amenities, from nutrition seminars to massages, fitness classes, mouthwatering meals and fresh pressed juices are just a short, scenic walk away or easily accessed with complementary shuttle service.

On your arrival day, you will be received with a towering juice and a light snack, followed by a yoga class and a welcome dinner. Throughout the retreat, a breakfast of seasonal fruits and super foods are available early for those who wish to eat before the daily morning class. The morning class is followed by fresh pressed juice and time to relax before joining the group for lunch. The afternoons are devoted to yoga workshops, clinics, meditation sessions, and food preparation classes. Throughout the week, two afternoons are reserved for group activities or you may use this time to have a relaxing massage, hang by the pool, explore the nature, chill out, or simply have fun. During the evening, it is common that a second yoga class be offered, a dinner, and occasional evening programs.

Bikram yoga

Bikram yoga is a beginning yoga class, suitable for all age groups and ability levels yet challenging enough for the most practiced yogi and approachable enough for the pure novice. It is focused around 26 basic Hatha yoga postures, set up like a chain reaction so that each posture warms you up for the next until the end of class you have touched on each and every muscle, ligament, tendon, internal organ, and system in your body. During class, you will never find yourself going into a posture unprepared, under warmed up, or over-stretching.

Bikram yoga is practiced in a warm room which will allow you to heal faster, stretch deeper, and feel better without injuries. Yoga changes the construction of the body from the inside out, from bones to skin and from fingertips to toes. So before you change it, you have to heat it up to soften it because a warm body is a flexible body. Then you can reshape the body any way you want. Hatha yoga flushes away the waste products, the toxins of all the glands and organs of your body.

It provides a natural irrigation of the body through the circulatory system, with the help of the respiratory system. It brings nourishments to every cell of your body so that each one can perform its function and keep your body healthy. Bikram yoga also employs heat to further cleaning process. When you sweat, impurities are flushed out of the body through the skin. Practicing yoga not only increases your supplies of oxygen, but it also will teach you how to use that oxygen properly.

Included in this retreat are guided hikes through the green mountains.

This retreat will take place at the Killington Mountain Lodge in Vermont, New England, nestled into the heart of Vermont's Green Mountains.

During this retreat, you will be served three delicious gourmet raw, vegetarian, and vegan meals per day. The local chefs are passionate about delicious, nutritious, healthy, and exciting food. All meals are a mix of fruits, vegetables, sprouts, and seeds, allowing the body to have an introduction to nutrient rich, raw foods, so that it shifts automatically at its own pace opening up your eyes and senses to a whole new world of health and well-being. Well-being that you are able to take home with you after the retreat in the form of fun new recipes and tricks about diets. During meal preparations you will be able to ask questions, watch, and participate in the demonstrations.

Horseback riding

Horseback riding is available to every level, from beginner to experienced, one- and two-hour guided trail rides, jumping, dressage, cross-country, and childrens instruction.

Mountain biking

Hikers in the Killington region can explore a wide variety of hiking experiences with remote waterfalls, hidden brooks,and sweeping views of the Green Mountains. The Killington parks and recreation department, in conjunction with the economic development and tourism commission, organizes free hikes throughout the region.

Other activities

Other activities around Killington include visiting the New England Maple Museum in Pittsford, practice rock climbing at the green mountains, play tennis or golf in one of the many tennis courts or golf trails available in Vermont. You can also practice fishing, canoeing, and kayaking at the Kent pond.

Visit the Pico sports center

The Pico sports center has a 75-foot olympic lap pool, aerobics area, a fitness and cardiovascular room, a jacuzzi, a sauna, a tanning room, massages, and fitness evaluations. Full day spa and short-term memberships are available.

You may book your flight to arrive at the Rutland Southern Vermont Regional Airport (RUT), and then take a taxi or rent a car.

Gramps shuttle service is available for the Killington surrounded area and offers a van service for up to 15 person each trip.

Service from and to New York City is available. The train station is in Rutland and Gramps Transportation will drive you up – fee already included in the ticket.

    "I loved the Bikram yoga and the posture workshops by Lynn Whitlow (a senior Bikram teacher who shared her experience and knowledge so openly), loved the raw vegan food by Liz Cotter, chef guru extraordinaire. I loved meeting like-minded people in a beautiful setting.I loved how removed we were from any hustle and bustle of other 'tourists' but not too far away from the nearest town (1hrs walk or 8 mins in a car). We all connected and bonded and made some beautiful international friendships.Lumeria, Maui is an amazing tranquil place. From the moment we arrived I felt so relaxed. There is a sense it is a calming place. Walking the grounds you can find a number of areas to chill out in, large balconies with benches and cushions, lush greens, beautiful plantation gardens, pool, mediation huts, hammocks, stone steps, stone circle.plus much more.Each cottage abounds in a harmonious dcor, big comfy beds, spacious if you are sharing or not, and the showers, OMG. Pebble floors and enough room to fit 4 adults!:) And best of all no TV, no phones, and no radio.I didnt want to leave. No one wanted to leave. Maui also offers a lot if you want to get off 'the reservation'. A lot of options on day trips if you want. I only wish the retreat was a few days longer, Im just thinking of myself and those travelling on longer international trips"

    "I wasn’t sure, but I brought my kids on retreat in June and it was absolutely fantastic. The kids had a ball and loved The Killington Parks & Rec camp so close and so easy. It was just enough family time and me time. Liz Patnode and her staff were incredibly accommodating of all my kids needs, packed them lunch, kids dinner meals had movies for them in the evenings.     "A Bikram instructor on Maui HI I was invited to teach a class while True North was on the island this past April. Little did I know that teaching that class and sticking around for ‘one’ dinner would impact me so dramatically. After the class, my partner joined me for dinner. We sat around the open kitchen and chatted as Liz prepared the meal and almost immediately noticed that the power of Liz’s approach is in it’s simplicity and approachability. You don’t have to be a master chef or completely restructure your life to eat well and improve your life; Start with the best ingredients, work with them gently, cook them lightly, prepare them artfully and your body will respond handsomely. Following that night, TRUELY Inspired by the meal and spending time with Liz, my partner and I made changes immediately that have impacted our health, our well being, our lives. We have reworked our weekly schedule to go to the farmers market and shop locally, find the best and locally sourced food ( plant and other) items possible. We ARE incorporating more plant based ideas into our diets, we make it a point to sit while we eat!.. Just to share a few tips. The final key – maybe the most important one being – Do a little bit, and when you are able to do more, do that. Its a process of detoxing slowly, de-aging gracefully, get back to the ‘TRUE’ in everything.” Can’t wait for the next retreat. Thank you for coming to Maui!"
