With its own hydro-electric system and solar power, this is a beautiful eco-estate. Accommodation consists on six rustic, cozy "hales" or rooms, including two simple "barn hales' (attached to the barn), each with two double beds and shared bathroom, and four bungalow style hales, each with two double or single beds, a deck and shared bathrooms and outdoor hot water showers.
Julie Seibt has been leading retreats in Thailand, Hawaii and Canada for 10 years. She welcomes each person exactly as there area; with no pre-requisites physically, emotionally or spiritually. Julie's credentials include Anahata Yoga Teacher Certification (Anne Douglas, 2006), IRI Certfied iRest Teacher®, Certified Yoga Therapist (2013, Functional Synergy) and teacher's training in Yin Yoga with Sarah Powers and Restorative Yoga with Andrea Peloso.
A private, sustainable ranch with citrus orchards, organic gardens, and cozy bungalows will be your home. The property is located in North Kohala on the island of Hawaii, commonly known as The Big Island, at the end of the road amid lush, tropical greenery. A stunning black sand beach is a five-minute drive, or 25 minutes walk away. White sand beaches are also a short drive away.
North Kohala's quaint towns of Hawi ("ha-vee") and Kapa'au ("Ka-pa-ow) offer conveniences like a pharmacy, post office, gas stations, a bank, ATMs, restaurant, shops and galleries as well as numerous alternative health care practitioners and conventional medical and dental clinics.
Enjoy the delicious and nutritious meals prepared by Chef Samantha which will feature fresh, local and organic products as much as possible. Sam entertains and educates with humor and passion in the open air kitchen. The focus will be on local cuisine with options of local fish, like 'Mahi-mahi' or 'Ono', and chicken. Citrus fruits are available in abundance in the orchard surrounding the dining 'hale'. Yoga and meditation in Hawaii - delicious!
Body Mind Ease Therapeutic Yoga will provide gluten-free choices with each meal. If you would benefit by bringing your own snacks, please do so. Please communicate dietary restrictions at least three weeks prior to the retreat.

Browse art galleries, swim, beach comb, explore hikes along sea-cliffs and valleys, take a scenic drive, visit a Hawaiian sacred spiritual site, go fishing or snorkeling or stay on the beautiful ranch and sway in a hammock.
Visit the Saturday farmers market or indulge at a quaint coffee shop or ice-cream parlor. But leave a room the succulent dinner that awaits your return!
There are direct flights to Kona International Airport (KOA) at Keahole from the mainland on WestJet, US Air, and United Airline as well as others. You do not have to go through Honolulu.
