Accommodation

During this retreat, you will be staying at Quinta da Várzea do Farelo in a private room, shared twin room, or private double room. There is an outdoor scenic swimming pool, a huge garden for your yoga and conscious dance sessions, and a large terrace for sharing meals and enjoying the warm sun.

The main focus

  • Connection - the purpose of every group activity is to relate authentically, to continuously grow empathy and get to know each other at a completely different level - a level of connectedness that in other settings would take months to develop.
  • Mind and body empowerment - learn to raise your consciousness level through meditation, breathwork, and conscious dance. Explore ways of increasing awareness that help you build healthy habits and manage your emotions.
  • Mindful working - learn to manage your energy and grow your network of like-minded people who inspire you and keep you accountable. Borderless Retreat creates an environment where you can fully focus on acquiring skills that would improve the quality of your life.

Program

Mastermind: Collectively brainstorming advice for personal/professional struggles

Every participant presents a personal/professional problem or situation they are facing and can’t find a solution/reason. The group brainstorms on giving practical and personal advice. Mastermind always results in fresh perspectives and solutions from combined knowledge from different life experiences and professional backgrounds.

Movement Lab: Outdoor free flow dance class

Moving through different games, movement exercises and improvisational dances. Gaining flexibility and strength. Awakening numb spots. Researching on possibilities. Exploring diverse qualities. Contact-dance. Freedom of self-expression.

Work purpose workshop

Skill-sharing session where you find alternative professional routes/carrier patterns and fresh ideas for each participant.

Training empathy: Sharing session

In order to connect with people, you need to be able to understand their perspectives, emotions, and motivations on a deeper level. Training empathy taps into understanding the basic needs of humans to cultivate unconditional love and compassion through practical exercises.

Deep connection workshop

Exercises such as eye gazing with the aim of deepening the connection within the group that opens up to the whole experience. The session is also part of mindset training as you first dig deeper into where emotions surface and how unconditional love influences your lives.

Ecstatic dance

Music relaxes your muscles which allows you to free yourselves of the tensions. Shake, jump, scream, connect to your inner animal, bounce, and laugh. Let yourself move freely, with no structure, choreography. Let it out!

Borderless Retreat has crafted the whole experience starting from day one. Every morning starts with flow movement and mindfulness practice to kick-off the day and to manage your energy. Followed by inspiration sessions to boost your creativity and learn practical tools to increase your awareness. There are around six to eight hours per day for focused work and evenings are for self-expression and playfulness.

Location

The retreat is held in the South of Portugal - in close distance to some of the best beaches in Europe. The accommodation is situated seven kilometers from Alvor Beach and 2.5 hours from Lisbon. The private villa is surrounded by fruit trees where you can pick fresh oranges and overlooks the beautiful landscape of the South of Portugal.

Food

The Borderless Retreat team is carefully preparing a nourishing menu for the whole retreat beforehand. There are three meals a day included: breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Meals will be served buffet-style from a communal table. A typical breakfast includes fresh local fruits and vegetables, granola, honey, eggs, and bread.

Lunch will be mostly served in a bowl - different types of groats, salads, cooked and raw vegetables, hummus. For dinner expect curries, vegetarian stews, baked vegetables, pasta, rice. There will be unlimited strong coffee, herbal tea, and spring water available.

Arrival by airplane

Please book your flight to arrive at Faro Airport (FAO). You can also book your flight to arrive at Lisbon Portela Airport (LIS). Borderless Retreat can provide contact to the transfer company.

Cancellation Policy

  • A reservation requires a deposit of 50% of the total price.
  • The deposit is non-refundable, if the booking is cancelled.
  • The rest of the payment should be paid on arrival.
