Situated in the heart of the unique Burren landscape, the Burren Yoga and Meditation Centre is ideally situated to provide a haven of calm for yoga practice, or just getting away from it all. I have stayed at the Centre on number of occasions, and would heartily recommend it to anyone practising or wanting to try yoga. There are a lot of different types of yoga on offer, the teachers are well qualified, and the numbers are restricted to 15 per course, which ensures lots of individual attention. The owner, who lives on site, offers guided walks into the area each day.The Centre is relatively isolated, but the directions given to the visitor are excellent. The Centre itself is cozy and welcoming. No shoes are worn inside the buildings, but the underfloor heating keeps the feet cozy. The centre is clean and bright, with lots of natural light. There is a lounge for relaxation, and a reading area. Accommodation is simple but very comfortable with a range of options available. The food, both delicious and nutritious, is provided by a gourmet vegetarian chef who manages to imbue her dishes with the special energy of the place. Staffs are very friendly and the atmosphere is home from home. An excellent massage therapist is available on request. Top marks overall!!

My stay in November '08 was my third stay at the Burren Yoga Centre over the past two years. Each stay has been very enjoyable and relaxing. I've attend Ciara Cronins Ashtanga weekend course which is quite dynamic as well as Tadhg Ferriters Satyananda course which is at a more relaxed pace. I would highly recommend both teachers. The teachers are very supportive, so beginners are catered for, as well as advanced students.

I went on a yoga weekend in January with Debbie Corradino. The yoga was fantastic and it has given me the incentive to keep it up at home on a daily basis.
The centre itself is lovely. Set in a gorgeous part of the Burren, just outside Kinvara. You can get single, twin/double or dorm rooms. They all seemed comfortable and warm. The beds are luxurious. Needed after a day of walking in the burren and yoga. The food is also gorgeous and healthy. So, you feel great afterwards. I met a lovely group of people at the centre. And Dave who owns it was really friendly and helpful. Some people were there on their own, some with a friend or partner. The atmosphere in the place is very laid back. Perfect either for meeting new people, or going off on your own. Anything goes. I would definitely recommend the Burren Yoga centre. There seems to be a range of course to suit beginners or more advanced.
