What better way to enjoy your family holidays than through yoga, hiking, creative activities and social learning experiences, for parents and children. This family retreat will be held at Casa Cuadrau, an eco guest house in a hidden paradise located at the foot of Monte Perdido in Ordesa National Park, Spanish Pyrenees. Come and experience one week in close and joyful connection with nature and yoga principles!
The accommodation is in dormitories for 6 persons each, where families will share the space with other families. The major benefit for families of sharing a dormitory is that you can come to the retreat at a significantly reduced cost.
There will be daily yoga asana classes for both children and adults. There will also be meditation sessions for adults and shorter meditation sessions for children with some concentration techniques. The arts nurture and awaken curiosity and creativity in children. Practicing yoga offers unlimited physical and mental benefits as well as supporting the cultivation of essential values, such as generosity, honesty, self-confidence and respect for all beings and for oneself.
Katya found in yoga a way of life, a system for self-exploration, providing her with constant support on her path. When she arrived in Vio, she rediscovered her love and devotion for nature, as well as a path on which she can continuously learn and be in tune with herself and nature. In 2009, she got her teachers’ training certificate from the International Sivananda Vedanta Organization. Later, after having spent three years working in yoga centers and ashrams from the same organization in Buenos Aires, Toronto, and Quebec, she took an advanced teacher training course in India (500 RYT).
Co-director of Casa Cuadrau, Dani is a yoga, meditation, and meditative hiking instructor and an ecological builder. From a young age, Dani felt deeply connected to the mountains, and it was in the Pyrenees and the Himalayans where he discovered hiking to be a powerful meditation practice and a way of deepening his connection with nature. Having studied technical architecture in Barcelona, Dani worked in the construction and theater industries, and also as a yoga instructor.
