Bagus Camp is a spacious four-storey house, sleeping 16 people in total across two of the floors. They have two rooms that sleep four in each, two twin rooms, and two double rooms. All the rooms are decorated in an authentic Moroccan style, furniture is designed for your comfort, and they provide towels for all guests.

There is a bathroom on each floor (four toilets and showers in total) and free Wi-Fi in the camp. Their downstairs Berber salon offers sofas for you to put your feet up and relax, a projector for movie nights, a library, and games center. Upstairs, they have another chill-out area with sofas and a breakfast kitchen space for guests, which leads onto their outside dining area and communal rooftop terrace – a great place to finish the day watching the stunning African sunset.

Their small garden downstairs provides another outside space for everyone to relax in. They also have a downstairs kitchen where they cook their guests delicious meals and an office where you can find out anything you need. The whole house has a Moroccan influence and small touches that make your stay even more comfortable.

At Bagus, they want to make sure there is plenty of space for everyone to relax and enjoy their stay. That’s why two of the floors are dedicated spaces for guests to sit and socialize away from their rooms.

Scott Nanamura previously taught at Tahoe Yoga Shala (formerly Mountain Yoga) in South Lake Tahoe, California, and blends a unique style of Tibetan Heart Yoga, Hatha, Anusara, and Ashtanga into his teachings. Weaving in philosophy throughout a fun and energetic class. he is able to help students connect the philosophic wisdom with their asana practice, bringing wisdom and movement together, to show how they are beautifully connected, not separate, components.

His background includes a Masters Degree in Traditional Chinese Medicine, which includes acupuncture, herbology, nutrition, exercise therapy (Tai Chi Chuan and Qi Gong), and remedial therapy (massage, Tui Na). He has additionally completed Tibetan Buddhism courses and is continuing advanced courses at Diamond Mountain University.

Scott has worked to cultivate the unique ability to bring ancient teachings into a modern setting, to touch the human heart. He works to inspire students to practice with awareness and intention on the mat and to use the teachings off the mat in everyday life situations. His goal when teaching is to converge compassion and wisdom, art, and yoga.

Students who complete their subsequent trainings are eligible to register with Yoga Alliance as Registered Yoga Teachers (RYT®). The training meets the standards of Yoga Alliance.

The beautiful house is located in the village of Tamraght, just five minutes from Crocro beach, and eight minutes to Devils Rock. It offers a peaceful and quiet location close to a variety of yellow-sand beaches and excellent surf spots - both beach breaks and point breaks.

Here, you are also not far from world-famous Anchor Point: a great place to surf or to sit and watch others tackling the famous righthander. Set back from the main road of Tamraght, your relaxed location is a great place to come and chill and enjoy the hosting from the team.

With a nice view of the mountains and the ocean from our rooftop terrace, this is definitely the location to enjoy an authentic taste of Morocco. They are only a short drive/bus/taxi ride to the fishing and surfing village of Taghazout, where there is a great selection of restaurants, cafes, and shops.

Bagus is also just a 20-minute journey from the center of Agadir, where you can find even more restaurants, shops, souks, supermarkets, and various transport options to other parts of the country. All you need to do is just ask the team.

Things to do (optional)

Visit Imsouane

A fantastic surf spot for long boarders to catch that wave and have the longest ride of your life. Imsouane is located about 60 kilometers north of Tamraght. The journey there goes past some of the iconic surf sites, takes in incredible scenery, over a mountain and eventually you come to a small road leading down the mountain to the small town.

With two distinct areas, you can take the long sweeping right hand break that goes on for ever. Perfect for the longboard rider, or go the other side of the point to the shorter break, both breaks are ideal for all levels of experience. No matter whether you’re a beginner or advanced, surfing at Imsouane is a beautiful experience that will stay with you.

When you aren’t surfing, you can soak up the sun and relaxed atmosphere by the harbour with a fresh fish lunch, or take a walk around the small village to enjoy the sights. It’s easy to spend a whole day in this sleepy and picturesque spot.

Due to the longer journey to get there, it is mostly unspoilt and not that busy - a hidden gem for you to enjoy.

Horse riding on the beach

Few things can beat the exhilaration of galloping along a deserted beach. Horse riding can be arranged to cater for all your needs and at all levels of experience.

The ranch has lots of different packages from one hour to three-day riding experiences, from beach riding to camping treks in the mountains. All horses are top quality and the guides match the horse to your skills and abilities and are there to help you get the most out of your ride, whatever you choose.

Early morning or sunset rides will give you a feeling of true enjoyment and a want for more. The guides are all multilingual and are very helpful and friendly, and all take particularly good photos too.

Tifnit day trip

Tifnit is a small fishing village about 50 kilometers south of Agadir. The village is a traditional fishing village which still practices age old fishing methods.

With a wide bay area, there are good surf opportunities for the more energetic, or beautiful walks along the coast. The scenery is unspoilt and a beautiful place to experience. Just behind the village there are huge sand dunes running for 15 kilometers that you can trek through - a stunning sight and incredible experience.

The area also has some ancient cave dwellings right on the edge of the sea where people live off the sea, a great chance to see age-old traditions of living. You can also enjoy fresh fish straight from the day’s catch for lunch, all while sitting on the beachfront to enjoy the meal and clear views of the ocean, a unique experience.

Visit Paradise Valley

Paradise Valley is located about 20 kilometers from Tamraght on the Immoser road. The drive takes you through the foothills and valleys leading to the start of Paradise Valley, from here you walk up the valley passing many deep crystal clear pools where you can swim.

At one area, people often jump off the high cliff into a very deep pool. In fact, it has become a local event and spectacle at certain times of the year. You can walk or just sit in the shade taking in the amazing scenery of this very special place.

Trip to the Souk

Diamond Heart Yoga can take you to a traditional Moroccan Souk (market), where you will experience how a typical family would shop every week. They have a local market in Aourir on a Wednesday morning, with lots of fruit and vegetable traders selling all locally produced products as well as many clothes and carpet sellers.

Local people come from the mountains to buy their produce for several weeks so you will see lots of overloaded cars and vans full of people and wares. In this souk you’ll experience all the bright colors and the hustle and bustle of a local market. It is a great experience and all the traders are friendly and happy to haggle with you!

The large souk in Agadir is called Souk el Had and is held within the walled souk area near La place du taxi. This is the second largest souk in North Africa and is packed with anything you can think of. From gold and silver, leather goods, lamps and metal work to fish, fruits and vegetables it has the lot. There is so much to see here, more than you could even imagine! This is where you can buy presents to take home with you but be prepared to haggle to get the best price; it is expected and welcomed.

A day trip to Essaouira

Essaouira is a very pretty fishing town located approx 160 kilometers north of Tamraght. It was once a Portuguese built town and is painted blue and white. The port is a major fishing port with many vessels working out of it, making it a significant economical important town to Morocco.

The trip to Essaouira takes about three hours, passing through stunning countryside, mountain passes and coastal roads but it’s well worth the trip. You might even see the famous goats in trees on the way! Essaouira has a huge beach front and many sand dunes where horse riding and quad biking can be done, but a visit to the walled town is definitely the highlight of the visit.

The town is filled with tiny streets and shops, and no cars can enter the town due to this. The shopkeepers are friendly and not pushy so if you want to buy things, this would be the place to come. Jewellery, leather goods and clothes are everywhere as well as spices and pottery goods. The medina is such an interesting and fun place to walk around.

The sea wall has old cannons and battlements which shows the strategic importance of the town in days gone by, and the port there is full of ships and old blue fishing boats, giving the area vibrance and a sense of tradition

Lunch is taken in the harbour in one of the many restaurants. You simply pick the fish you want and they cook it over coals for you. Simple and very tasty!

Hammam and massage experience

This is one experience you must have whilst in Morocco is a traditional hammam and massage. A hammam is a traditional bath, but not in the way you would think. The hammam is a steam filled area where you sit and relax, enjoying the steam and heat, followed by a scrubbing with black soap and special mitten which will remove all the dirt and grime from you. You will not believe the amount of dirt that comes off you!

After this you have a relaxing massage using Argan oil. This region is the only place the Argan tree will grow, which is cleansing and moisturising for your skin. You will be clean and invigorated by this experience and is a must for men and women alike. At the end of the treatment you’ll be left so fresh, clean, and relaxed!
