You will be accommodated in lodge cabins at Club Gatineau. The cabins are called Loup, Ours, Aigle, and Original. Some of them have a capacity of six persons accommodated in two rooms or four persons accommodated in two rooms. All the cabins are heated by firewood. Each cabin has its private bathroom, bedding, barbecue facilities, a freezer, woodstove, personal flotation device, public internet access, and telephone system.

Day 1, Friday, March 10, 2017

  • 16:00 Arrival to du Yoga dans l’Bois, cabin distribution, and presentation of the spaces

    Anna-Kim has practiced yoga for four years and she is a certified Hatha yoga teacher, Tibetan bowls sound healing and meditation instructor, and is continuing her education on yoga Nidra, kids yoga, and meditation. After living abroad for the past few years, she returned to her birth land in Quebec and founded Du Yoga dans l’Bois with the purpose of sharing the love, yoga, and, sound healing. For her, yoga is not only on her mat, but also a way to live with consciousness, accepting, and trusting what comes along with open arms, here and now.

  • Ginette Brideau

    Ginette worked as a social worker with First Nations in the Northwest Territories of Canada, and in the palliative care, emergency department psychiatric care of Civic Ottawa Hospital in Ontario. Through these experiences, she developed important human values: authenticity, welcome, empathy, listening, commitment, non-judgment, and a great respect for the human being. She is now a qualified massage therapist, hypnotherapist, social worker, and yogi.

This retreat will take place in Canada, on the shores of one of the trout-filled lakes or the banks of the Gatineau River, between César and Serpent waterfalls.

Healthy, organic, local breakfast, lunch, and dinner are included in the price, together with morning juices and teas, infused water, and snacks available all day.

During your free time you can walk around the lakes and waterfalls, do snowshoeing, canoeing, kayaking, or swimming, relax by the river or by the fire, read, or connect with others.

You can book different types of massages and therapies performed by Ginette, who is a certified massage therapist, at an additional cost. You can chose from a wide range which includes Thai yoga massage, Swedish or Californian massage, water massage, deep tissue massage, therapeutic massage, energy massage, or you can choose a session of hypnosis.

Driving directions from Montreal

  • From Montreal, take 15 North, which becomes 117 North, then 309 North.
  • Turn left onto Montée Leblanc half a kilometer before Ferme-Neuve.
  • Follow signs for Club Gatineau all along that one road, which you will be on for 63 kilometers until you arrive.
  • A reservation requires a deposit of 50% of the total price.
  • The deposit is fully refundable if the booking is cancelled up to 15 days before the arrival date.
  • The rest of the payment should be paid on arrival.

The location, the instructors, the food, the ambience was exactly what a needy body and soul are needed. Anna-Kim and her parents were very welcoming. They went over and above the call of duty to make sure your stay was memorable. Air in my leaky front tire; supporting me down the chutes serpent, only to mention a couple. I highly recommend this."

La nature qui nous entoure est tout simplement magnifique.
