It is not only just an advisable thing to do but completely essential given our current modern lifestyle in which we find ourselves. The family who runs the house pays attention to every detail and you will find the rooms both cozy and stylish. The rooms all have mosquito netting on the windows so you can sleep peacefully at night! Eco Detox has a range of options from dorm beds to more private rooms sharing with one other with an en suite bathroom. The yoga shala is also a wonderful feature and in winter we have a log fire keeping us cozy during classes!
There is a full program that you can attend, such as yoga classes, hiking, meditation, biodanza, dancing, sungazing, and nutrition workshops.
This is a guided meditation using an ancient Toltecan technique of gazing at the sun during the safe times of sunrise and sunset. It is a beautiful, gentle, and loving meditation on being in the present moment, bringing your sense of awareness to your breath and body.
This class is very soft and you do not need previous yoga practicing. The movements are really simple and relaxing. You will practice Kundalini, Hatha, and Yin yoga whilst at the retreat. You will start the day with a Kundalini sadhana, which includes pranayama and meditation, working the body on a more energetical level. Each day, there will then be a second yoga class of Hatha or Yin yoga. In Hatha yoga, the asanas will focus on detoxing the body's organs, aiding in the fasting process, as well as giving you an opportunity to listen and connect with your body. You will look at different breathing and pranayama techniques. Yin yoga will be a more relaxing and meditative class, holding the asanas for longer periods of time working the body at a deep tissue level, increasing circulation and flexibility. All classes will be at all levels.
During the retreat, there will be classes with a nutritionist and naturopath. You will have the opportunity to ask any questions you may have about nutrition, as much about the process during the fast as well as your normal dietary routine. You can get some great tips for making some simple changes into your diet for increased energy and wellness.
In the body, there is an emotional memory that often is blocked. In the retreat, Eco Detox uses movement and music to unlock some of these memories to feel lighter, less restrained, and freer. They use techniques both in group and solo work to go deeper into this experience, connect with others and parts of yourself forgotten or hidden.
Throughout the retreat, you will experience different guided meditations from Vipassana, sungazing, and mindfulness. Techniques of concentration and breathing from ancient cultures are incorporated to create a space between your thoughts. With simple practices, you can incorporate these empty spaces of everyday life and give your rushing minds pause for a moment.
The house is surrounded by beautiful trails and paths leading through woodland, forests, and mountains, and each day you will go on a hike. Contact with nature is also part of the nutritional side of self-care. Walking and breathing give you a high level of inner nutrition. The sunset requires a climb and each evening you will do this hike and practice sungazing at the top with a stunning view of the valley below.

Diego is the founder of Vitarian Attitude (conscious veganism). He is also the director of Go2ld (breathing techniques for companies), the facilitator of Sungazing (pranic meditation), and a professor of yoga Nidra.
Joseba is a post-graduate of Naturopathy. He has certification in dietetics and human nutrition. He is a professor and coordinator areas natural therapies at the University of Cadiz. Besides, he is also a professor of nutrition and diet therapy in Gremi d'Herbolaris de Catalunya. He is a professor of nutrition and health at the Escola de Restauració I Hostalatge Barcelona. Lastly, he is a co-director of Vegetarian Cooking School in Barcelona.
Carolina is a food technologist. She has a master degree in dietetics and nutrition and holistic and emotional Kinesiology. She is also a holistic nutritional therapist.
Deborah is a Hatha yoga teacher. She is also a theatre workshop facilitator.
This retreat takes place in Can Mas casa rural in a stunning national park just north of Pineda de Mar in the Costa Brava. The house is situated in the middle of the mountain range with spectacular views from every angle of the house. The surrounding forest is lush and our daily walks take us exploring caves, waterfalls and you can appreciate a wide range of flora and fauna. The weather is usually warm and sunny - even in winter, there is always an opportunity to enjoy the various corners of the grounds to bathe in the sunshine and listen to the birds.
You will be served three daily detox juices and one organic broth for dinner. All of the ingredients are 100% organic and local. There will be highly nutritious and healthy ingredients used during your detox. You will find the following superfoods in your detox juices and soups: chia, spirulina, goji berries, maca, lucuma, chlorella, wheatgrass, cacao, kale, and matcha.

The easiest way from Barcelona to Pineda de Mar is by train and then get a taxi from the train station up to the house in the mountains (approx 15 EUR, 10 minutes in a taxi).
Trains leave from Barcelona Plaza Catalunya (R1, direction Blanes) every 30 minutes 21 and 51 past the hour, journey time approximately 1-hour.
Take the aerobús from T1 and T2 to Plaza Catalunya, approximately 30 minutes, from there you can take the R1 line direction Blanes to Pineda de Mar.
