Five Elements yoga is a variation of Hatha yoga, focusing on each of the five elements. This style is excellent for beginners and provides an interesting approach for the experienced yogi.
The Five Elements concept is the oldest knowledge in the world, originating as ancient religion in Egypt, India, and Sumeria. Civilizations would develop esoteric knowledge such as yoga, Tantra, astrology, numerology, feng shui, and many others based on these beliefs. To today, many mystics, yogis, saints, and hermits still use this concept to continue on the spiritual path they have chosen.
The Five Elements can shape your life and influence your perception of reality. Balance between elements develops qualities such as peace, power, joy, and harmony. You only need to discover, implement, and balance these elements in your character, as you are made from all of the five elements. As you are made from the same elements as nature, Mother Nature can be your greatest teacher.
In the retreat, you will not only learn about the Five Elements but discover which is your strongest and which ones may need attention and learn the method of bringing balance to the elements.
This retreat program will be running for five days, so that each day you can dedicate it to one element.

This retreat is located in the stunning natural setting of Rovinj in Istria, Croatia.
Istria is the largest Croatian peninsula and it lies on the northern end of the Croatia’s Adriatic Coast. Often compared to Tuscany, Istria is unique with its incredible layers of culture and buildings from almost every era. There's the Roman amphitheater in Pula (the sixth largest in the world and also one of the best preserved) and the Euphrasius Basilica in Poreč (listed on the UNESCO World Heritage List) to name but two.
The fertile peninsula features green fields and valleys with romantic hilltop towns and medieval villages. The diverse coastline features mainly pebble and white stone beaches, pine trees, and lots of naturist friendly secluded coves.
Istria's cultural richness is present throughout this magical peninsula, and are perhaps most obvious in the town of Rovinj. The panorama of Rovinj with the church of St. Euphemia and its bell tower is one of the most pertinent symbols of Istria.
The beauty of Rovinj has attracted many artists inspired by its incredibly preserved old town houses and picturesque narrow streets. Among these streets, Grisia has a special place, as the artists who gather there traditionally sell their works to tourists.
Something to keep in mind is that on the west coast near Rovinj, there is also the Brijuni Archipelago, a national park, and a pearl of natural heritage in Istria. It consists of various islands with around 680 plant species and is also known also as the once luxurious state summer residence of President Tito and top officials of the former Yugoslavia.
On the far south of Istria, you can enjoy the dramatic landscapes of the protected park Cape Kamenjak, and Pula, the largest town in Istria.
The rich archaeological heritage of Istria is represented in numerous museums, the largest being the famous Archaeological Museum in Pula. Bale is a beautiful spot also worth visiting. Five Elements Retreats recommends that you pay a visit to the picturesque Kamene Priče (Stone Tales) jazz cafe and restaurant.
Because of its position, Istria is extremely accessible from all European routes and the mild Mediterranean climate invites year-round visitors.
During your stay, Five Elements Retreats will provide nourishing and tasty vegetarian meals (breakfast and lunch) based on locally and organic grown food, cooked, and served with love.
On your free time, you can swim in the beautifully clear sea, sunbathe, socialize with new friends, book a massage, or discover the many beauties Rovinj and the Istrian peninsula - the magic land (terra magica) - have to offer.
You can book massages and healing energy treatments from the professional therapists at an additional cost.
Please book your flight to arrive at Pula Airport (PUY). The nearest airport is Pula - 40 kilometers from Rovinj. This is a small airport but it has some direct flight from around Europe. You can take a bus service from Rijeka (Croatia), Zagreb (Croatia), Trieste (Italy), or Ljubljana (Slovenia) to get to Rovinj. It will take 2-4 hours by bus.
The best way to come to Rovinj is by ferry from Venice. The ferry comes direct to Rovinj harbor on almost all retreats dates. Five Elements Retreats will come to pick you up at harbor.
