How the course works

This course offers a flexible way of learning in which you can do the modules and access one-to-one support at a time to suit you. The live session will be held via the Zoom application. You can do the course between six weeks to a year.

This course offers a peer support group which can become your tribe of like-minded people, 48 hours’ CPD, a gateway to further training and work opportunities with Absolute Specialists, and an approach that will support your mindfulness practice and allow more peace, connected, and present in your life.

Timing of sessions (GMT+1 / GMT)

There will be hour-long online sessions via video link with a mentor who will guide you through the exercises, answer queries, and give individual support. You can choose when to access the online live session. The time zone will be BST (GMT +1) during Summer and GMT for session/s after October 25th, 2020.

Course information

This course consists of six video and written tutorials on the theory behind the practice of focused mindfulness, six exercises that will give you a direct experience of the approach, nine unique, deep teaching meditations from the author, hour-long online sessions via video link with a mentor who will guide you through the exercises, answer queries and give individual support, eight chapters of the author’s story about the development of this work and video stories from other people who have experienced life-changing benefits through using the tools and a discussion where you can share your experience, queries, and comments with other learners.

At the end of the course, there is a resource section to aid further study. You can also learn more from your mentor about retreats, integrative therapy, and integrative coach practitioner courses and opportunities to work for a social enterprise that provides courses and one-to-one sessions in emotional resilience in the workplace and in the community.

Focus Mindfulness is based in Huddersfield, UK (GMT-1) and they will live-stream the classes via Zoom which you can participate from the comfort of your home by just using your phone or computer. All times are BST (GMT +1) during Summer and GMT for session/s after October 25th, 2020, and then back to BST (GMT +1) for session/s after March 28th, 2021.
