The historic Forks of the Credit Inn was built in 1855 and is located in the quaint hamlet of Cataract, Caledon. The building was a general store in the early 1900s, a speakeasy during prohibition, and a restaurant in the 80s and 90s. Recently renovated and revitalized, the building has come full circle and is once again a boutique inn and new yoga retreat in the beautiful Caledon Hills.

Come and see this historic landmark and the beautiful area that surrounds it. Accommodation includes shared the triple room, semi-private, and private rooms.


This is a large classic room, with a desk and separate sitting area. Relax in the large bathtub and appreciate the views of the garden area. Book this room as separate twin extra large beds or as one king-sized bed plus a pull-out love seat to sleep three. Features include en-suite bathroom, flat screen TV with cable, and free Wi-Fi.


This is a dark and sexy room, with a glass shower with the privacy curtain that overlooks the room. You can fold out the bed in the sitting room to make the second bedroom. Enjoy original pine plank floors and big arched windows. Talulah can accommodate four people.


The room is bright and spacious, with an original stone wall and pine plank floors. It has windows on both sides, providing a cross breeze and views of the front and back yards. You can hang out in the big globe chair and enjoy the king-sized bed at the end of the day. Torlan has a private en-suite bathroom with shower and accommodates two people. Features include flat screen TV with cable, free Wi-Fi, and a gas fireplace.


The room is a main-floor private room with a new claw foot, bathtub, and shower. It is in the original stone part of the building, built in 1855. Enjoy your queen-sized bed at the end of the day. Yoki accommodates two people.


During this retreat, you will practice gentle yoga flow, Restorative yoga, and bonfire meditation sessions. You will have the chance to hike and visit local tourist attractions. You will also have a coaching session with Karey.

Included excursions

You will hike in Forks of the Credit Park, which is considered one of the most beautiful natural parks in Ontario. If you are a true hiker, you will be excited because there are several trails in the park, such as the Bruce trail, Dominion trail, Kettle trail, Meadow trail, Ruins trail, and Trans Canada trail. You will also visit local attractions like Alton Mill Art Center and the Spirit Tree Cidery.

Alton Mill Art Center

With its unique blend of studios, galleries, shops, café, and event spaces in a stunning setting, the Alton Mill is a wonderful escape. Here, you can discover the perfect piece of art, hand-crafted objects in clay, glass, wood or fiber, and exquisite jewelry. Enjoy the ambiance of a spectacularly beautiful building and its fascinating heritage exhibit.

Partake in an art class, take a hike in the woods, skate on the pond, or experience a delectable treat from the Gourmandissimo café. Join one of their seasonal events, when all studios are open to the public or check them out as a venue for your next corporate or social function. Leave inspired by art, nature, and heritage.

Spirit Tree Estate Cidery

Located in the Caledon hills on Boston Mills Road, Spirit Tree Estate Cidery is a cidery, bakery, kitchen, and farm store owned by Thomas Wilson and Nicole Judge. The large environmentally-friendly property, surrounded by apple orchards, offers local products and produce, as well as homemade, award-winning cider, bread, and pastries. Spirit Tree Estate Cidery is open Wednesday through Sunday.

This retreat will take place at the Forks of the Credit Inn, located in Caledon, Ontario, Canada. It is steps away from the Forks of the Credit Provincial Park and the Elora-Cataract Trail. The venue is a short drive from Osprey Valley Golf, Caledon Ski Club, and the Alton Mill Arts Center. Take one of the most scenic drives in Ontario down Forks of the Credit road to Belfountain.

During this retreat, you will be offered daily meals, snacks, and drinks. For breakfast, they use Ontario free range eggs. You can ask for their specialty eggs, which is vegetable frittata and eggs avocado. Food will be gluten-free and organic where possible, with locally sourced ingredients when in season. If you have special dietary requirements, just let them know in advance.

Things to do (optional)

Cycle through Caledon

Explore Caledon and Forks of the Credit area by bike. The Elora-Cataract Trail is not only groomed, but it extends 45 kilometers west from your inn front door to Erin, Hillsburgh, Belwood, Fergus, and Elora.

Go fishing

Fishing is permitted in Forks of the Credit. Please check the Ontario fishing regulations for seasons and restrictions.

Try golfing

Go golfing at Osprey Valley Golf or other courses close by, including Devil’s Pulpit.

Visit Belfountain Conservation area

At Belfountain Conservation area you can enjoy yoga in the park, hiking, dog walking, photography (permit may be required), wedding ceremonies, and fishing. You may also go for nature sightseeing sites which include the suspension bridge waterfall, the Credit River, the historic fountain, flower gardens, and the newly renovated terrace area.

Driving directions from Kitchener

  • Take highway 7 east to Guelph.
  • Take 124 east to Erin.
  • Continue on 124 through Erin to Cataract Road.
  • Go right on Cataract Road and the inn is on your right side at the bend.
  • Look for the British phone booth.

Driving directions from Toronto

  • Take 427 north to 401 west.
  • Take 401 west to 410 north.
  • Stay on highway 10 which merges with 410.
  • Turn left on Charleston to Cataract Road.
  • Go left again and the venue is on your right side at the bend.
  • Look for the British phone booth.

Cancellation Policy

  • A reservation requires a deposit of 50% of the total price.
  • The deposit is non-refundable, if the booking is cancelled.
  • The rest of the payment should be paid on departure.
