"Fragrant Nature Resort is a perfect setting for yoga, meditation and Ayurveda. It is set in the backwaters of Kerala state. The resort is perfectly situated for a complete rest. Beautiful hotel and gardens and the service from all the staff is superb. Our yoga teacher, Sanathanan is an absolute gem and made our yoga sessions very interesting with his little talks ad melodic voice, encouraging us into our asanas. The Ayurvedic centre with a friendly doctor and great therapists made the ayurvedic treatments and absolute treat each day. The food was delicious even though we were on an Ayurvedic diet and the staff in the dining room and kitchen were so friendly and helpful. The housekeeping staff wrote us a little note on a leaf each evening wishing us a pleasant sleep. All in all I would highly recommend this resort and if you cannot make it for a week or two, it is worth a visit."

"Our second stay here, last year we had one night and liked it so much decided to make it the place to relax at the end of a 5 week holiday. The greeting at Fragrant Nature was one of the best ever, strawberry milkshake, garlands, flowers, tikka and flowers on the bed when we got to the room. Seemed there was little ease they could give us.The thing that we will remember the most is the peace and quiet also the level of service from the staff. The room (Lake Villa) was spotlessly clean, great view, comfortable bed.The restaurant was first class with a lake view if you got the right table. Breakfast was the best dosas with loads of other choices. Evening meal was taken in the restaurant each night and there was plenty of veg/non veg on the menu. Restaurant staff were brilliant, had some good conversation with several of them including Calwin and Dania.I used the pool each day and the water was very clean and no chemical taste. I also used the spa and took yoga a few times. Had a one hour speedboat trip on the lake, the boatman pointed out things of interest and some birds. For two evenings we went to the sunset bar by the lake, great location. We celebrated Karthikai festival during our stay and the hotel decorated the reception with lamps. This resort is a great place for couples and not suited so well to groups, we had a problem with noise from a birthday group during the stay and this was immediately sorted, great customer service. "I simply came for a week of yoga, ayurvedic massages and relaxation and went home with much more than I expected. The resort has an amazing positive energy, providing an ideal location for yoga and meditation. Loved sitting by the lake and being surrounded by gardens flourishing with exotic plants and flowers which attracted the most beautiful humming birds and butterflies. All the staff I met (including management, those taking care of you in reception, at the restaurant or keeping the gardens and rooms immaculately clean) to be very friendly and accommodating. Being vegetarian, the chefs went out of their way to cater for my dietary requirements and the food was delicious. As for the yoga practice, I found an incredible teacher in Dr Sanathanan, who so willingly shared his knowledge, wisdom and many years of yoga experience in a very authentic way. I came away feeling uplifted and grateful to Dr Sanathanan who makes sure that you also leave with practical tips on how to continue and deepen your yoga and meditation when back at home. I so highly recommend coming on a yoga retreat with this teacher and at this lovely resort!"

"Stayed there for only one night, but would definitely recommend this hotel to everyone. Stayed on May first week with a family of 9 members. We were in the room 201, 203, 204. Rooms are comparatively small but well maintained. Everybody tried their level best to make our stay comfortable. Excellent food. Special salute to Mr. Ajeesh (chef) for the special care and homely food, Mr.Arun Kumar (coffee shop) who made our stay happy with some fun. Thanks to Mr. Shinoj (reception) and Mr. boat driver. We got some amazing coffee from there. The surroundings were dirty because of heavy rain. Overall, it was an unforgettable trip. Thanks to the entire team and good luck!"

"The resort is very well maintained. Beautiful surroundings; lots of greenery and lakeside made a romantic ambiance. Food was amazing. Chefs made efforts to understand our taste and make special customized meals. It was our first anniversary get away. Staff made special efforts to decorate the room, got us cake, arranged for candle light dinner by the lake side; the courteous staff made our vacation truly memorable. All the sight seeing was also arranged by them."

"Breathtaking! We have no words that can fully describe how this quaint, brilliantly located boutique resort feels as a holiday destination. There are so many reasons why Fragrant Nature is right at the top of so many reviews, I am simply going to reiterate the main reasons I recommend this gorgeous hotel as a must see option. Firstly, the jaw-dropping location. Right on the lake in Kollam, this fabulously located resort gives you an uninterrupted view of the stunning lake, which is extremely clean and non-smelly! We had booked the incomparable Pool Villa, which had the most stunning view of all-the backwaters and the greenery, a heady combination indeed. My second reason for recommending this little gem are the people responsible for running it. A fabulous staff that genuinely cared about their guests and it wasnt just a lot of lip service. We found this personal touch from the chefs, and staff especially endearing. We would like to take a moment to thank Mr. Paulson and Mr. Johns for the amazing food, Sreejith, Prasanth, Dhiraj, Arun. M and Arun Kumar for the amazing service and camaraderie. A huge thank you to Mr. Ram Singh, Mr. Jills, Mr. Robin and Ms. Linju, for always wearing a happy and welcoming smile when we reached out for assistance. We also thank Ms. Anita at the spa and Mr. Devarajan for the unforgettable boat ride. We need to especially thank Ms. Anne Sanjeev for being the heart behind this resort that has brought so much joy to nature lovers like my family. My third reason for being as enthusiastic as I am was the immaculate cleanliness of the resort. Never did we pick up a glass with finger prints or had to worry about the pool in our villa being dirty. Thank you for an unforgettable vacation!"

"We went for a family gathering to the resort and stayed overnight. The resort had excellent facilities for all age groups - from seniors to small kids. The rooms were good and we were accommodated on one floor in adjacent rooms that gave total privacy for us from the rest of the resort. The view of the lake from the resorts was fantastic. The food was good and there were good health club and recreation facilities."

"The hotel is far away from the city attractions and is almost 30 minutes away from Trivandrum, We spent 2 nights in the resort and have nothing but praise for the facilities and staff. The hotel is new I guess but in a period style, which was marvelous. The amenities are all first class but most importantly the staff provide a level of service that ensures your visit is made as simple and stress free as possible. Every call for help and advice was fully satisfied by the excellent staff and we recommend this boutique hotel. The rooms are comfortable. We would absolutely visit this hotel again."

"Love this resort. It was an excellent service. Cannot forget their hospitality. Definitely recommended. I was there for 2 nights with family. Kids enjoyed the most. You get a family feeling in the resort and you'll never feel that you are in a commercial place. In many places in Kerala I felt superior services to foreigners. I never felt such thing in fragment nature. Food may be slightly expensive, but that is expected in a resort. Starting from the receptionist Linju, captain Prasanth, chef paulson to the table boy Arun Kumar, everyone was so courteous that you feel like going back as early as possible."

"I had a fantastic experience at Fragrant Nature Resort. They upgraded my room without any extra charges. The lakeside location of this resort is really an added advantage to it and you can spend an entire day in the resort itself. The whole staff is really courteous and helpful. I would like to visit this resort once again."

"I went there with my friends and stayed for a night. Checked in at 2:00 p.m. and checked out by 2:00 p.m. next day and this place is very beautiful in all aspects. There is nothing to say vice verse. Staffs are very friendly and the hospitality was amazing. Rooms are spacious and neatly done with fully air-conditioned and it also provided with a mini fridge. Wi-Fi is there with enough speed to get hike / Whatsapp messages. Bathroom space layout is well designed with wet dry area concept, which also has hot and cold water all the time. Pool water is so clean and its well maintained. Pool depth is up to 7 feet. Thanks to Mr. Renjith, the pool boy, who was very helpful in all professional means. They also provide a jacuzzi aside from the pool area. After swimming, we went to play badminton on their well-maintained badminton court and they provided rackets and feather shuttlecocks. After that, we got into this amazing view from sunset cafe. They do provide bar facilities. Our package was nice, very reasonable price with complimentary breakfast, which was so good. Restaurant staffs are very humble to note down our requests and food tastes very delicious. We had idli (so soft) - sambar, vada (so crispy) - chatni, idiyappam - stew (yummy taste of coconut milk with carrot, cauliflower, beans), omelet, fruit cuts (slices of watermelon, banana, pineapple) and pineapple juice. They got paddleboats but our plan was for a houseboat ride, which ended up in speedboat ride for an hour or two, since the houseboat was under maintenance. This wasn't included in our package, but worth to go for. The only thing we weren't happy about was not having drinking water in our rooms. Of course they have provided with two bottles of mineral water, which arent free though. Except that, everything was fantastic. We all hope to visit again and stay there for a while more, so that we could have that Ayurvedic spa massage and that houseboat ride, next time."

"The resort has serene atmosphere with beautiful garden, lawn beside a lake. You can just go round and spend time in the garden or can go boating. The restaurant is very nice and they prepared and served food as per our requirement. It has gym, swimming pool, table tennis court and badminton court. We enjoyed playing table tennis and badminton. Even though we went as a family many honeymoon couples stayed there. It is an excellent resort if you want a calm serene and scenic atmosphere."

"Well it was a memorable and an enjoyable visit at Fragrant nature. The rooms were neat and well conditioned. The resort provided mesmerizing surroundings along with breathtaking lake views. The swim in the pool was rejuvenating and refreshing. The boat trips offered by the resort were an excellent way to spend time with the family. One of the most notable things was the customer minded staff who were always at our service. About the food, it was good and we thought that they could have increased the quantity in accordance with the price."

"If you want to feel the real beauty of nature, this is the place to visit. A calm and beautiful resort with full of greenery. We felt very secure in this place. We stayed there only 1 night. But it was amazing. We got a nice breakfast and dinner, especially the fish curry with mango - so delicious. Thanks to Mr. Ajesh (assistant chef) and Prasanth (restaurant), who gave nice care and support and the boat driver, who gave a nice trip in the lake. Special congratulations to the garden workers for nice greenery. You can feel a nice sunset coffee shop there with a lot of fresh air. Please change the sunset bar to sunset beer parlor in the direction board. Keep it up and see you again."

"My wife and I stayed at the Fragrant Nature for two nights. The reception staff were very friendly and professional, as well as, all the other staff (housekeeping, security guards, etc.). They always had a smile for us. We saw very few other guests while we were there and this may account for the following: The first night while we were walking around the hotel property, which is stunningly beautiful (very beautiful pool and pool area), a host from the restaurant came up to us and asked what kind of food we would like to eat for dinner. He told us that we didn't need to look at a menu just tell him some of our preferences and he would have the staff prepare it for us. What a wonderful personal touch and I felt that it was genuine. My wife and I really like Indian food, so what was prepared for us was great. Our room was very comfortable and clean. The hotel property is very private and separated from the surrounding town environment by a high wall and security entrance gate with guards. Security is good. Two of the seven different hotels that we stayed it had very elaborate security measures such as screening with a walk around mirror for explosive underneath entering vehicles. This may be a result of the 2008 terrorist attack in Mumbai."

"Kerala is aptly called ''God's own country'' because it has best of nature and people in it. Fragrant Nature resort is no different. A wonderful resort surrounded by beautiful backwaters and lush greenery. The sunset at sunset cafe was breathtaking! The resort is having very simple, humble and professional staff. Chefs were so humble to ask and prepare meals exact to our tastes. The candle light dinner on boat, delicious fish meals, Ayurvedic body spa, nature trail hiking (inside resort), and comfortable rooms made my trip - a perfect vacation! I travelled from Trivandrum by train to Paravur and then an auto rickshaw to the resort. The cheapest way to reach the place. Returned back by road, early morning, to TRV airport, a comfortable, but expensive way. The backwater cruise was done on a speed boat as the houseboat was having some snag. I found this better as you feel more close to water and the driver took us to some narrowest water canal, houseboats could not have managed. Trip to this cozy comfy resort plus a night stay at sporty Kovalam beach would make a perfect holiday for people of all age groups!"
