Jon (Bindu) Meston

Meditation came before yoga for Jon. It started more than 20 years ago and led him on a journey of spiritual exploration to many parts of the globe including Tibet. The physical yoga becomes part of his life in 2004 whilst living in a community at Lake Atitlan, Guatemala and has been a daily practice ever since. He has studied yoga and meditation with many ‘learned ones’ including zen master Thich Nhat Hanh. He gained his master level Reiki training in 2005, studied kinesiology, and many healing modalities and in recent years deepened his understanding of Qi Gong and working with life energy.

Claire

Claire began her yoga journey completing 500-hour with Gillian Russell, British Wheel of yoga teacher, trainer, and yoga therapist in England in 2005. Following a self-practice for two years, she continued her yoga studies with Birthlight pre-natal yoga in 2008 and later an advanced yoga training with Ana Forrest in 2009. She furthered her training by completing 500-hour with Maggie Reagh studying yoga therapy, yoga philosophy, chanting, and Ayurveda, co-run with Neil Pearson, a specialist in physical therapy and chronic pain in 2015.

Tamlyn

After completing a degree in sports psychology, Tamlyn discovered yoga in order to release stresses of life and to gain flexibility and strength. She was slowly changing her life and yoga became the priority of her existence. It was no surprise that she went on to completed a 200-hour teacher training at Johannesburg and then continued to deepen her studies with a further 300-hour training in Bali at Santosha Yoga in traditional yoga, Vinyasa yoga, and Yin yoga. Further advanced course with teachers such as Ana Forest have made a big impact on her professionalism that she delivers.

"Great value for money "

The place is so peaceful and it has everything you need for a refreshing yoga retreat. Took 6 out of 7 free yoga classes and also paid extra for an inversion workshop which in my opinion, was so worth it. I loved my entire experience here and the staff were pretty friendly. The place is kept quite clean as compared to the island in general but it is still such a beautiful island. Great experience to just getaway from your buzzing city life and just take one step back and enjoy great energising yet calming yoga classes. I loved how there is more emphasis on the spiritual side of yoga, as compared to your typical city yoga emphasising in fitness. *a tip would be to bring a cap to wear during aqua yoga class as the sun is really shining right down at you! Apply sunscreen on your upper body too to avoid getting burnt. :)

I loved meditation class and aqua yoga! All yoga classes were nice and inspiring. Outside showers and bungalows were lovely and rooms and all the areas clean. Really good food and relaxing massage.

I attended an organised retreat here and thoroughly enjoyed the yoga and meditation experience! This catered for people who were beginners as well as those who had more experience. The island of Gili Air is a beautiful location for this retreat and the relationships developed with the other retreatants is something I will remember for always. Bindu has a lot of passion for everything he offers here and there are so many services on offer to suit varied tastes. The new offerings at the cafe are certainly a highlight along with the friendliness and joy of the staff! This is a memory I will cherish and I hope to return one day! Thank you to you all!
