You will watch the sunrise together

You will cook together, eat together and make ready again together

You will walk together, sit together, laugh together, talk together and be still together

You will gather around the fire pit at night and burn away that which you no longer need to leave space for the new and old

You will celebrate your female individuality and the potency of women gathering together

You will recognize your archetypes and soothe and nurture your true self

You will feed your creativity

You will sit in peace in the meditation tree, you will walk the living labyrinth, you will catch your breath on the breeze from the treehouse

You will find balance in the beautiful nature of Mount Tomah, reminding your spirits of the interconnectedness of everything

Arrive between 3 p.m. and 6 p.m. on Friday and get yourself settled in before eating a delicious vegetarian meal at 6.30. After dinner, you will have an hour of where you get to know each other and start the healing weekend with some contemplative relaxation.

Saturday and Sunday: In the early morning, in your own time you can choose to watch the sun rises from the meditation tree or treehouse. Have breakfast and from 9 a.m. to 11:30 and 2:30 to 5 p.m. (1:30 - 4 p.m. on Sunday) experience the healing techniques facilitated by Bronwen Logan.

In the evening, enjoy dinner at 6:30 p.m. and then sit around the open fireplace outside (weather permitting). Enjoy your spare time in the peace of the Tomah Retreat communing with nature and the animals.

How to get there

Driving directions from North Sydney

  • Drive along the M1, M2 and exit onto the M7 at the Richmond turn-off.
  • From Richmond follow the signs to Lithgow and Mt Tomah is about 40 minutes away. This will take you over the Hawkesbury River into Nth
  • Richmond and onto the Bells Line of Road.
  • Follow the Bells Line of Road up past Kurrajong and up the mountain past Kurrajong Heights. Continue, still on Bells Line of Road, past Bilpin and Berambing until you come to Mount Tomah.
  • On your left is the Mount Tomah Botanical Gardens.
  • Continue (stay on the highway) past this and you will immediately see a large blue sign that says "Rest Area Ahead 500 meters". Pull into this rest area on your left.
  • Drive along Rainbow Ravine Rd, which is off to the right. On your right is the local fire station (very useful) and just keep driving. The first turn to the left is Charleys Rd.
  • Drive down, almost to the end, and on the left is 12-16 Charleys Rd.
  • There is a black automatic sliding gate which you will need to put in a pincode for. The pincode is 11A. The gate will open and will stay open for 30 seconds and then will close automatically.
  • Please wait until the gate is closed before driving off as there may be animals that might get out

If you do not have a car, then let International House of Reiki know and you can discuss other options to get to the Retreat.
