Solé East Resort is a hotel housed in a landmark American Tudor building, with 60 renovated bungalow-like rooms, each one unique, and seven garden cabana suites. A heated pool with oversized St. Tropez style beds will keep you cool while your head bops to tunes being spun by the poolside DJ. Lush lawns and gardens with bamboo walkways complete the beach club feel. To indulge your gastronomic palette, there is the hip yet healthy Backyard, full service restaurant bar, and poolside lounge.
Solé East Resort is a hip little place, renovated with their own style and hands, with a ton of great vibes and atmosphere.
Accommodations are in single or double rooms. Expect sprinklings of luxury in the areas that matter; such as Simmons pillow-top mattresses and 300 thread count Italian linens, flat screen TV’s and iPod docks. Be sure to ask the friendly staff anything to make your stay spectacular.
There would be four yoga classes with Jessica Bellofatto, 20 minutes of individual consultation with Jessica about yoga goals, injuries, as well as questions about yoga and meditation practice. This individual consultation can be scheduled pre-retreat or over the course of the weekend.
You can also join some optional activities. They include paddle boarding and SUP yoga on Fort Pond with Jessica (if weather and conditions permit), and nutritional consultations with Adam Kelinson, chef extraordinaire and author of "The Athlete’s Plate: Real Food for High Performance".
There would be a 1-hour guided hike through pristine nature preserve.
Jivamukti Yoga School (Jivamukti Yoga)
Jessica has been practicing yoga for 24 years. She started at the original Jivamukti Yoga Studio in East Village, New York. She completed her 500-hour training in 1997 at the Jivamukti Yoga School under the guidance of Sharon Gannon and David Life. She spent many hours studying the Anusara, Iyengar, and Ashtanga styles and is currently pursuing certification in Ashaya yoga, which sprouted from Anusara, with Todd Norian. Jessica is also a triathlete, an avid surfer, and the owner of KamaDeva Yoga.
Montauk, on the easternmost tip of the South Fork, is one of the sports fishing and surfing capitals of the world, as well as home to the oldest lighthouse in Long Island. The Montauk Historical Society maintains the lighthouse, keeper’s dwelling (there’s a nice museum in there), outbuildings and grounds, while the US Coast Guard operates it. Visitors are welcome to climb the 137 spiral steps to the top of the lighthouse and, on a clear day, look out at Block Island across the sound.
A visit to Montauk Harbor is a must when you are out here. Stroll through while watching the fishing boats go in and out of the harbor. Sample a true fisherman’s hangout at the Westlake Marina’s Chowder House – the fishing boats pull up right off the deck of the restaurant.
Also one of the best surfing destinations on the entire USA east coast, Montauk is known for its quality waves and consistency of swells. There are many different spots to choose from according to your level, the tide, swell direction, or wind conditions.
