During this retreat, you will stay in a private villa with an infinity pool. Whether it is swimming amongst emerald coves, indulging in one of the onsite treatments, or just relaxing poolside, the villa at Playa del Carmen encompasses the beauty and harmony of the area creating a unique and luxurious backdrop for you to find your truest self. You can choose to sleep in an ensuite king or double queen room. All spacious, modern rooms include air conditioning and television.


Erin is a balanced body certified Pilates instructor. She has worked to design well-balanced, full-body workouts with varied props and difficulty levels, always paired with a motivating playlist. Erin will lead two Pilates classes per day. Group Pilates mat classes will be offered each morning and evening of the retreat. You will have the option to add on personal training sessions and movement evaluations. Additional movement experiences will be offered in collaboration with local movement specialists such as yoga and bootcamp.

The instructors are well-versed in differentiating classes to accommodate all experience and ability levels. If you have a particular injury or sensitivity, please let them know beforehand so they can adjust your curriculum to your body’s needs. La Luz is an offering that they would like to be as unique as guests who attend. You are welcome to join in for as many or as few activities as your interests and energy levels dictate.

The retreat will take place in Quintana Roo, Mexico. The charming coastal town of Playa del Carmen offers pristine beaches and is surrounded by natural beauty to explore. Take an afternoon swimming in sparkling blue cenotes, explore ancient Mayan ruins, or enjoy the incredible snorkeling on the island of Cozumel.

You will be served three meals per day as well as unlimited coffee, infused water, and conscious cocktails or mocktails included in the price. The all-inclusive menu is designed by a clinical nutritionist and gut health specialist, Shannon Rosie, and prepared by an in-house chef. La Luz Pilates and Wellness Retreats can accommodate all dietary restrictions. They offer cocktail-making courses in order to make conscious cocktails. Healthier versions of your favorite drinks! Mocktail versions are available.

Food to help you shine from the inside out. Light, colorful, and bursting with nourishment. The menu has been designed to support and enhance your wellness experience. Enjoy vibrant, nutritious, and delicious meals and know that your body is being nourished. Healing your gut, supporting your hormones, and achieving that wellness glow has never been tastier. They believe that healthy eating should never be boring or tasteless, so prepare to delight your palate and excite your senses with local delicacies, superfoods, and a rainbow of fresh, juicy, and delectable produce.

Should you enjoy a spicy margarita at sunset or a glass of wine thoughtfully paired with your meal, it will be available to you. La Luz is not specifically a detox retreat and guests are in full control of their experience. They will have a mixologist in the evenings for handcrafted cocktails and mocktails alike.


There is a reason your first meal of the day is called break-fast. The first bite of your day sets off a cascade of reactions in your beautiful body. Make it a cascade of nourishment, not inflammation. Breakfast will be a nutritious balance of healthy fats (to nourish your hormones), fiber (to heal your gut), protein (to fuel your body), and complex carbohydrates (to give you energy). A balanced breakfast with these four pillars will keep your body, and mind, satisfied for hours.


The goal for lunch is color and variety. This is the time of day that you want to flood your body with polyphenols, vitamins, minerals. How you do this is to aim to eat as many colors of the rainbow as possible. You will fuel your body with quality protein, replenish your cells with vegetables, and get the extra push you need for your workouts with complex carbohydrates.


The last meal of your day is designed to decrease inflammation, so that when you go to bed, your body can focus on healing, growing, and repairing overnight. Healthy fats and fresh ingredients are the aims of the game. A slightly lighter meal before bed gives you time to digest your food before beauty sleep so that you wake up in the morning feeling energized and ready for your day.
