Spent 10 days at Lotus Oasis yoga retreat on the beautiful less commercialised Patnem beach & loved every minute of it. The yoga & yoga teachers were amazing accommodating both beginners & more advanced. A mix of more energetic Ashtanga in the morn & more relaxing Hatha & Yin in the eve. The food & service was very good and there was a great variety to choose from. Beach huts have a mosquito net, fan & own bathroom and are perfect to allow you to appreciate the sounds of nature. Loved the upstairs chill out/ eating area looking out onto the sea. Great live music on Sat night and they have movie nights too. Met really nice people while staying there and many come for drop in yoga classes or just to hang out or stay a few nights. Lotus Oasis really has something for everyone. Would recommend to rent out a scooter /bike to explore other beaches around Patnem e.g really quiet Talpona & Turtle beach in April. A day tour to a Spice farm & Dudhsagar waterfalls is a must, it's so beautiful. A big thank you to Manav and his beautiful wife Sam and Dhiru for making it a very special first time yoga holiday in Goa. Big love & light. XX💜🙏🌅 Fiona from Ireland

"I have just returned from a 10 day yoga retreat at Lotus Oasis Yoga and since this was my first yoga retreat I did not know what to expect or what I could gain from this experience. Now when I have returned from the retreat, I would strongly recommend everyone to visit Lotus Oasis Yoga for an amazing yoga and Goa experience as I feel completely re-energized, balanced and satisfied."

"The resort is situated on the beach and even from the private beach hut you can clearly hear the sounds of waves. The main building of the resort has a lovely roof top terrace overlooking the beach and the food is healthy and truly amazing. All staff members are very friendly and service minded. Upon our requests, they arranged a cooking class and a dolphin tour. The beach hut itself is simple and you cannot expect a luxurious standard. You can however expect a clean hut with a proper bed, fan and shower. You will not need more as you will spend most of the time on the yoga deck, the beach, doing a tour or in the restaurant."

"I had some experience of ashtanga yoga before going on the retreat and did not know what to expect from the mixture of ashtanga/vinyasa flows, hatha and yin yoga. I definitely did not expect to improve this dramatically in such a short amount of time. Firstly, all yoga classes are held on a yoga deck on the beach. Every morning starts with a physically challenging ashtanga/vinyasa flow. In the afternoon, a calmer hatha/yinyoga class with increased focus on alignment and meditation is held in the sunset. These classes complemented each other perfectly but there was no pressure to attend both. The instructors are truly amazing and inspirational. Even if the levels of experience in the groups are mixed, they manage to adjust the level in order to both challenge the most experienced yogis (we even had several instructors among the participants) and to meet the yogis who were complete beginners. During the week, I got plenty of individual tips and adjustments designed for my level and my body. Only in one week, my own practice has therefore improved significantly."

"The huts are simple- as expected, however there is a toilet and shower, also a basin included. So that was surprising for me and really great. The beds are comfortable. I did not have WiFi in my hut, because I was too far from the reception desk. In the front ones, I guess there would be. The Yoga lessons are awesome and the beach and location are really calm and clean. The only thing I was not so happy about: loads of dogs all around and especially during night they were howling so much. And a train seems to be going close by there, so there are quite a few sounds during night. Get earplugs and you'll be fine! Food is awesome and fresh! Staff is great, fun and helpful"

"My husband and I stayed in Lotus Oasis last November and it was wonderful. We were met at the airport by a taxi, which we paid for in advance, and he drove us to the row of shops at the entrance to Patnem beach. Two guys met us there and insisted on carrying our bags down the beach to Lotus, where we were met my Manav and Sam. They were lovely and showed us to our hut and we were free to settle right in. The hut is basic, as expected, but perfect. The bathroom doesn't feel so clean compared to western standards and I was always checking the toilet roll for ants before I used it, but I got used to this and the cool showers quickly. It is amazing that they put these huts up and take them down again every year! Expect insects, crabs, frogs in your hut. Though you have a mosquito net, so you are safe when in bed. I loved this experience. Only problem was the bed was really hard and the pillows were not good. So it wasn't too comfortable and the first few nights we slept quite badly. It didn't put me off though. The food here is amazing. We ate in Lotus most nights and it was cheap and delicious. I think Goa is more expensive than other parts of India but still very cheap compared to UK. The breakfast was included in the price of our stay and it was great - cereal and fruit but also daal and bread and rice - for breakfast! We ate 3 big meals every day. The menu includes food from all over the world and lots of delicious cocktails. The red wine was cold, which was strange, but maybe it's too hot not to refrigerate it. And was around 2 GBP for a massive glass so I didn't mind. We did eat out in other places along the beach a few times and they were lovely too. No bad experiences. Every morning after breakfast we walked along the beach, which was lovely. Quite a quiet beach compared to Palolem, which is the next one over. We got a rickshaw to Palolem a few times for shopping and it was fun but we were glad to be staying on Patnem where you don't get harassed so much by the shop owners and boat tour people. There were yoga classes twice per day - at sunrise and sunset. I usually went to one per day, depending on when we woke and what we were doing that day. There were a mix of teachers, some better than others. I liked them all but my husband had difficulty with some and stopped going to classes as they didn't give enough guidance for beginners. Beautiful view from the yoga shala though, and the lovely gentle breeze. We spent a lot of time upstairs in the 'treehouse' reading and relaxing in the hottest part of the day. I fell asleep there lots of times! And you can eat your dinner and get drinks up there. The guys who were serving the food and drinks were so lovely. Everyone was so lovely! Sometimes at night there was live music downstairs and sometimes we listened or we went upstairs to read while it was in the background. I think it usually stopped about 11pm though, so it was quiet for bedtime. There is a noise curfew on that beach, which I appreciated! Overall, this was a wonderful stay and if we were ever to find ourselves back in Goa I would love to come back to Lotus Oasis."

"Very nice place. I stayed here with my family for 3 days. We went to Goa for a 2 day trip but our stay at Lotus Oasis made us extend it to third day. None of us wanted to come back when vacation eneded :DThis was my first visit to Lotus. I booked this place based on other reviews and our stay was splendid. There are so many huts and resorts in Patnem and Palolim beach. But what stands out Lotus Oasis is the hospitality of Sam and Manav. These guys are simply amazing. They go out of way to make their every guest's holiday a special one. Beach is quiet, clean and calm. Morning yoga by the beach s superb. We planned this trip for our pet Levy. Sam and Manav took utmost care of her even when we were not around.Huts are clean, well maintained and spacious enough for 2 person. Food at Lotus is also very good. Surprise musical nights make it more interesting. Per night charges for the huts are pretty competitive and you cannot ask for anything more for whatever Lotus has to offer.I was surprised by the distance I had to travel from North Goa but after I reached Lotus it was worth every effort put in to reach here. These guys are always almost full. So it is advisable to book well in advance.I am planning to visit this palace again on a long weekend. It is affordable, easy to reach (nearby bus stop and railway station) and most importantly calm and quiet place. For those who are planning a Goa visit to relax and enjoy the beaches and music, this is the place.."

"Lotus Oasis is a very relaxed and chill spot on the mellow Patnem beach. The beach huts are clean, with a well-kept private bathroom and all you need for your Goa Vacation. What sets this place apart are the owners Sam and Manav and their staff. They are amazing human beings who go above and beyond to make their guests feel at home and comfortable. It all creates a very positive and amazing atmosphere where everyone becomes like a mini-family.The live music was great, the food and drinks were incredibly fresh and quality and the surrounding area offers a perfect mix of activities. I also have a food allergy and the staff was incredibly accommodating to my needs and was able to try anything off the menu.I am already thinking about my next visit back."

"A second visit to this place has made it my favorite destination in South Goa. It would not be an overstatement to term the experience here a facsimile of good times. An instance to share of how accommodating and warm the host's of this beautiful venture are, is when I was out of options to score a cake, as it was a little late in the day before moving base to lotus oasis. I inquired before reaching whether there is a slightest of possibilities to get one to celebrate a friend getting hitched. I was informed that they will check. I had given up on any hope of finding one and to our surprise we were presented with a chocolate cake straight from their kitchen a little, after we arrived. Not only was this an amazing gesture both for my friend and I, but it tasted good too. The serene feeling of sharing your favorite whiskey with a few close friends and nothing but the sound of ocean waves to cut into your conversations is one experience that will pull me back to this place every once in a while. On a lesser philosophical note, the place is well maintained, food is good to taste and served well to the portion, a haven for voracious readers. Also, the loft makes a great place for a quick afternoon nap."

"This is the place if you are looking for good rooms, food, service and above all, best music. Next to three yoga schools, so it is an ideal place for yoga lovers too. The beach is neat and clean - just could not find any reason not to visit them again and again."

"Do try their nachos and mocktails too. Their music is varied not necessarily professional and so the whole atmosphere becomes very homely. The hotel being on the beach helps in relaxing and staring into the darkness when only the sound of the seas is audible."
