On arrival, you will be transported to the meditation and retreat center over-looking the Valley of the Kings where you can rest up and spend time in the tranquil gardens or walk the labyrinth of expansion and gaze out over the Valley of the Kings. Depending on the time of day that you arrive, you will be served a delicious vegetarian meal, either breakfast, lunch, or dinner.
In the evening, after an early evening meal, you will cross the Nile to visit the Temple of Luxor before returning to sleep your first evening under the blanket of the wonderful LUXOR Light Healing energies in the meditation center. In the morning, you will observe silence until breakfast and have the time to take the walk of purification, the labyrinth of expansion, and the symbol of awakening in the garden. After breakfast, you will be transported to the luxurious Dahabieh, which is a traditional Egyptian sailing boat.
Everyone will have a private cabin with en-suite as you sail from Luxor to the Temples of Khnum, Horus, and Gebel Silsila. Under the light of the moon, you will meditate at a private beach on the Nile. The meditations take place at the divinely right time each day, allowing to move with the current of the Nile and be divinely in the flow.
You will have time to read or do your own yoga practice or just watch the tranquil sights as you sail the beautiful Nile gazing at the sights that have not changed for thousands of years. Watch the fisherman on their humble little boats splashing at the water to chase the fish into their nets, watch the children swim on the banks of the Nile, or watch the villages slowly walking their donkeys from one place to another.
In the stillness, there is only you, the Nile, the quietude, the bliss, the sounds of nature, the birds of the Nile, and looking out for the Ibis and the presence of the Great Master Thoth. This trip will start from Luxor to Geb el-Silsila.
Daily schedule
Day 1
Arrive into Luxor stay the first night at the LUXOR Light Retreat Centre and visit Luxor Temple.
Day 2
You will board the Luxury Dahabieh in Luxor in time for lunch as you set sail toward Esna. In Esna, you will visit the Temple of Khnum, the potter God, one of the creator Gods who was said to have created man upon the potters’ wheel. You can witness the scenes on the walls of the temple in this most delightful and peaceful temple.
From Esna, you will set sail again after being welcomed by the crew waiting ready with refreshments to be sure you are well looked after and meals are already being prepared constantly all day. You will sail to a private beach to moor for the night and spend the evening with meditation and enjoy the evening sky under the moon.
Day 3
In the morning, you will sail on to Edfu and the magnificent Temple of Horus. After breakfast, you will be taken by Calesh, an Egyptian horse and cart to the Temple of Horus. This temple is once filled with love as it was here that Hathor, wife of Horus would sail from her temple in Dendara every year to redo their marriage vows.
You will be taken back to the Dahabieh again by Calesh where refreshments are waiting and you have free time until lunch as you sail on stopping at banks of the Nile directly outside the Temple of Horemheb at Silsila.
You will sleep directly in front of the temple watching the coming and going of the temple guards. This is a very quiet place with few visitors. Gebel Silsila is the quarry where they used to take the stone to build the temples. It is an amazing place with incredible energy held in the stone.
Day 4
You will have time to walk along the Nile up through the quarry, stopping to meditate inside rock temples before returning to the Dahabieh for lunch. The big cruise boats are not allowed at Silsila, so this is a special less visited place and everyone finds it becomes a favorite. You will sail back down the Nile on the way back to Luxor, stopping again at a quiet and private, clean beach to swim in the Nile, and enjoy the blessings of Happy God of the Nile.
Day 5
Sailing back to Luxor, allowing the energies of the program to blissfully integrate into the energy field enjoying delicious sights, drinks, and meals. Upon arrival into Luxor, you will be transported back to the LUXOR Light Retreat Center to enjoy a night meditating under the stars on the roof-top of the center in direct alignment with the Pyramid Shaped Mountain of the Goddess Meretseger, she who loves the silence and watches over the Valley of the Kings and Queens.
Day 6
A visit to the Valley of the Kings after breakfast and then you will have the afternoon free to choose to either rest or take another tour which can be arranged for you.
Day 7
The program is closed and you make your way onward. LUXOR Light Ascension can assist with all onward travel arrangements and transfers to the airport.
