This year instead of the traditional full moon celebration tour at WESAK, we will be having our final mid-year Nile Cruise on the day that celebrates Buddha's birthday. We sail the Nile and capture the bliss of this most auspicious time. Your meditation will incorporate the Ancient Egyptian Sacred Sound Mantra Yoga, capturing the essence of the power of the energy. At this most auspicious time, Buddha and the Masters are very close to us as we recognize and honor the Buddha. In the quiet moments, you can hear them and the high frequencies that signify their presence.
Airport transfer available:
Luxor International Airport
During this trip, you will be staying in various accommodations. All rooms are private single occupancy unless requested to be shared. Your accommodation is a combination of our LUXOR Light Retreat Centre overlooking the Valley of the Kings and on board a Luxury Dahabieh on the Nile.
The retreat center is in a quiet private location on the West Bank of the Nile with three lovely garden areas complete with labyrinth and meditation walks. Every cabin has a private en-suite and air-conditioning. You will have room to do your yoga on board with the view of the Nile as you sail.
Set in the quiet village of Gabawy, over looking the Valley of the Kings on the West Bank of Luxor, The LUXOR Light Retreat and Centre for Ascension is the perfect setting for finding the stillness within. It is a place to restore your vitality and purpose in life.
Built with the traditional domed roof of the Nubians, it features a roof-top terrace, three spacious gardens and a restaurant area, large balconies, healing room, meditation spaces, and free Wi-Fi. The roof-top terrace is the perfect setting for early morning or evening yoga or meditation overlooking the Valley of the Kings.
On arrival, you will be transported to the meditation and retreat center over-looking the Valley of the Kings where you can rest up and spend time in the tranquil gardens or walk the labyrinth of expansion and gaze out over the Valley of the Kings. Depending on the time of day that you arrive, you will be served a delicious vegetarian meal, either breakfast, lunch, or dinner.
In the evening, after an early evening meal, you will cross the Nile to visit the Temple of Luxor before returning to sleep your first evening under the blanket of the wonderful LUXOR Light Healing energies in the meditation center. In the morning, you will observe silence until breakfast and have the time to take the walk of purification, the labyrinth of expansion, and the symbol of awakening in the garden. After breakfast, you will be transported to the luxurious Dahabieh, which is a traditional Egyptian sailing boat.
Everyone will have a private cabin with en-suite as you sail from Luxor to the Temples of Khnum, Horus, and Gebel Silsila. Under the light of the moon, you will meditate at a private beach on the Nile. The meditations take place at the divinely right time each day, allowing to move with the current of the Nile and be divinely in the flow.
You will have time to read or do your own yoga practice or just watch the tranquil sights as you sail the beautiful Nile gazing at the sights that have not changed for thousands of years. Watch the fisherman on their humble little boats splashing at the water to chase the fish into their nets, watch the children swim on the banks of the Nile, or watch the villages slowly walking their donkeys from one place to another.
In the stillness, there is only you, the Nile, the quietude, the bliss, the sounds of nature, the birds of the Nile, and looking out for the Ibis and the presence of the Great Master Thoth. This trip will start from Luxor to Geb el-Silsila.
