The Awareness Retreat is a journey of yoga & meditation to get in touch with both your physical body and your inner self. The retreat consists of daily yoga classes; a morning Dynamic Hatha yoga class and an afternoon gentle Hatha yoga class where postures are held for longer periods of time to be able to meditate on the physical & emotional effects of each posture.
Accommodation in private cottage at resorts nearby. One resort is on the hillside in beautiful settings with a swimming pool. The other resorts in on the beach front.
Yoga texts state that there are various stages an aspirant has to go through to get ready for meditation. From ethics to physical postures to breath control and relaxation, comes concentration and meditation. Meditation techniques performed sitting in quiet surroundings aim at making the mind one pointed, in order to be able to achieve a meditative state in everyday situation, while working, eating, etc.
Meditation is awareness. When we practice activities without distractions of the mind, that is called awareness; anything done with awareness is meditation.
