Transform and improve your health by learning body and mind Mindfulness practices that will allow you to refresh your reality. With this program, you will learn to master emotions, by understanding their power in how we act and choose to interact with what surrounds us. Understand the message that each emotion tells you and boost your focus in the face of daily challenges.
With each session, you will acquire new tools to reduce the stress associated with negative thinking, and skills to better communicate and improve the quality of your relationships. At the end of the program, I will guide you as you design a clear and focused plan to integrate all the knowledge and mindfulness practices to improve your every day goals and future objectives. Afternoons are free so you can explore Algarve with a mindful perspective!
During this retreat, you will be staying at the Molinum country house located in Central Algarve, Portugal. The windmill, or the ‘Molinum’, is an historical symbol, a place worthy of time. Above all, Molinum is a place to be yourself, to experience what surrounds you and Algarve: nature, culture, and calmness. Their personal care in combination with the rooms, swimming pools, tennis court, and gardens are the key ingredients that will provide a delightful stay.

On the first floor of the mill’s house is the Almond Tree Suite. It is a serene and fresh room with a panoramic view of Algarve's coastline. Simply decorated with antique furniture and a double bed, this room includes a private bathroom with bathtub and is also equipped with air conditioning. In January, the almond trees blossom at your terrace flavoring your stay.

A more meditative approach to yoga, yin yoga is a slow-paced style of exercise, incorporating principles of Traditional Chinese Medicine, with asanas (postures) that are held for longer periods of time. With this practice, you will be able to release the tension on the level of the body.
In this session you will be introduced to Mindfulness. In this session you'll be introduced to mindful eating, and the body-scan method. In order for you to be fully engaged in the present moment through the program, each session ends with mindfulness assignments to be practiced up to the next session.
You will learn how to be mindful of emotions by seeing their true nature. We will unveil the message behind each emotion you will understand the power they have in how you act and interact with what surrounds you, and boost your focus in the face of daily challenges.
This session is dedicated to the concept of Mindful Communication through the practice of active listening and the exploration of three types of communication. You will be able to see that by communicating mindfully one can transform difficult situations and improve relationships.
At the end of the program, you will be guided as you design a clear and focused plan to integrate all the knowledge and mindfulness practices to improve your every day goals and future objectives.
I see Mindfulness as being the base of preventive mind & body Healthcare. I have a degree on Exercise and Health and after getting the TDI MBSR Certification (2016), I developed my mindfulness teaching practice in the turism area, providing intensive mindfulness stress reduction programs in hotels. I see mindfulness as the perfect practice to shape our minds for the future, and live happier, more meaningful and longer lives. #1. Conect with onself; #2. Reduce & Manage Stress; #3. This retreat takes place in the Central Algarve region of Portugal - between mountains and sea. Within a radius of 15 - 20 klometers you can breathe and experience Algarve's culture, taste a variety of typical flavors, and access beaches, golf courses, markets, marinas, and cities.
Daily breakfast is included in the retreat package. You will be able to cook in de windmill, which has a Kitchenette, fridge and appliances to cook. There are two supermarkets and restaurants 5-10 minutes by car.
We have a list of local partners which allows you to experience Algarve at its best, from eating and cultural tours, to exploring the coast practicing SUP, Jeep safaris, bike and trekking tours, or simply use the Algarve's many guides that we have for your consultation (beaches and islands, cultural heritage, trails and cycling routes). Algarve is also known by its excellent fish and wine and for these we are surrounded by excellent restaurants!
