Lisa's first step on a yoga mat was in 2007 after several injuries as a passionate hockey player. The practice quickly became a part of her daily life as she began to feel the ability to transform, nurture, and heal body, mind, and soul. Lisa completed her Yoga Alliance RYT teacher training in India at the beginning of 2014. The schooling focused on the traditional alignment principles of Ashtanga yoga as well as the creativity of Vinyasa flow. Her asana teachings come from a heart-centered and playful perspective and reflect a fusion of breath, movement, and stillness.
Pharping has two main caves that are considered especially powerful because they are also associated with Guru Rinpoche, the teacher that established Buddhism in Tibet. The area is sacred to Hindus because of the Dakshinkali Temple associated with Shiva. The whole area embodies the interesting mix of Hinduism and Buddhism in Kathmandu.
