Set in 80 acres of rich pastureland in the heart of the south of Ireland’s most fertile region (the Golden Vale), Ballinwillin offers a unique experience in a unique part of Ireland. Offering luxury accommodation and customized retreats, this charming destination is an ideal base to escape from the stresses of everyday life and/or from which to explore Ireland. Not limited to these options, your hosts, Pat and Miriam Mulcahy can develop customized tours designed for individual tastes.

Owners Pat and Miriam Mulcahy and their team have created a restful and luxurious B&B offering at Ballinwillin, blending modern expectations with the natural beauty of the surroundings. One of Ireland’s leading interior designers and local artists, Fiona Turley, was commissioned to enhance the guestrooms in the courtyard area adjoining the main house.

The main guest accommodation is a converted 18th-century courtyard building next to the main house. Sumptuous fabrics, quality furnishings, and tasteful artworks are evident throughout, portraying a contemporary European style yet delivering comfort and privacy in abundance. Equipped for internet access with flatscreen TVs and multi-channel viewing, the facility is centrally heated throughout.

Luxurious residents lounge and a fully-equipped private kitchen ensure personal tastes are catered to, while an attractive outdoor area suitable for alfresco dining or just quiet relaxation is positioned outside the rooms. Guests are invited to stroll along the “Thinking Path” in the lovingly-tendered holistic garden and visit the areas devoted to meditation, mindfulness, and forgiveness while listening to the cacophony of sounds that can only be experienced in a vibrant, yet peaceful, natural setting.

The accommodation comprises three guest rooms in the main house and six guest rooms in the courtyard wing. All bedrooms are tastefully decorated with ensuite shower rooms and organic Voya toiletries from Co Sligo, Ireland. The B&B welcomes inquiries from groups interested in the exclusive use of the property.

The RetrEAT includes two nights accommodation, two award-winning breakfasts, a wine tasting, a kitchen supper, long table dinner, lunch and sessions (such as meditation, mindfulness, Pilates, and breathing techniques) with RetrEAT at Ballinwillin House Farm host and visiting guest speaker. More details, including booking information, are available. Please send an inquiry to RetrEAT at Ballinwillin House Farm for more information about the program.

It is situated on the edge of Mitchelstown, a vibrant country town. It is a family home with modern refurbished courtyard housing exceptional guestrooms with a private living room and kitchen.

Surrounded by the famous Ballyhoura Country, an area which borders the counties Tipperary, Limerick, and Cork, with fabulous green pastures, woodlands, hills, and the wonderful Galtee Mountains, Ballinwillin and its 80 acres of prime farmland, is perfectly positioned to explore the ancient and unspoiled landscape at its heart with its abundance of significant heritage sites and thrilling outdoor activities.
