During this retreat, you will stay either in a private or a shared room. Riboudin Retreats has two generous and large double bedrooms based on two people sharing in a traditional thatched Norman long-house set in a large garden.

Program

This retreat program consists of guided, mindfulness-based meditations, relaxation practices, and gentle yoga sequences with extended relaxation sessions featuring Himalayan singing bowls. There's plenty of time to enjoy the surrounding French countryside and opportunities to take time for yourself alongside the learning of techniques for relaxation and stress reduction that you will be able to incorporate into your daily life.

Riboudin Retreats welcomes you for lunch on the Monday before your introductory session and relaxing afternoon with the first of your guided meditations. You will enjoy three full-day sessions followed by the retreat ending on Friday afternoon after your lunch.

This retreat is an immersive experience that will take you on a journey from an introduction to mindfulness and meditation, through practices carefully chosen to nourish and nurture you, and to a mindfulness practice you will be able to continue and develop in your everyday life to help you achieve that all important balance.

The daily itinerary varies to take advantage of local markets and exploration of the beautiful surrounding area but a typical day at the retreat starts with a gentle and energizing yoga class to get you ready for your day. Breakfast follows, the first of your three homemade, nutritious vegetarian meals of the day featuring produce from the local garden, honey from the bees, and organic free range eggs from the local chicken when available.

The retreat is located in France, the land that is famously and deliciously known for its cheese so look forward to a little indulgence accompanying your meals. Your day will feature a number of guided meditations focusing on stress reduction and relaxation techniques. After lunch explore the French countryside with walks along rural paths to the sea and along the coastal cliffs where you will enjoy guided meditations in nature or some yoga and breath work.

Within the home grounds, there is plenty of space and time for you to take moments for yourself to rest, restore, and renew. Enjoy an afternoon tea break with home-baked goods and a restorative evening yoga and relaxation session featuring Himalayan singing bowls allowing time for you to absorb the benefits of all you've done during the day. You will also enjoy your evening outside by the lovely fire-pit surrounded by nature or on cooler or wet evenings in the living room with its large wood-burning stove.

Rose quartz meditation

There are so many wonderful meditations available to guide and inspire you to a more positive way of living and this one involves working with all matters of the heart allowing pink energy from the rose quartz to fill your entire body, allowing you to feel worth, love, and compassion for yourself and all.

Open discussions on minfulness

The open discussion will be related on what is mindfulness and learning to be mindful. It is a delightful exercise using essential oils to perform your own hand massage, an absolute favorite.

Movement meditation

The movement meditation sessions is set in the grounds.It is a slow meditation to bring awareness to your steps reflecting the rhythm of the breath. Great for stress reduction.

This retreat will take place in Le Tilleul, Normandy, France. The retreat is located three kilometers from the seaside town of Étretat which is famous for its beautiful beach, cliffs, and coastal walks.

Sailing and cycling are also very popular in the area, as well as enjoying the French countryside. France is the home of good food, great cheese, and wine. You might visit delightful French restaurants. France's history châteaux and museums are recommended as part of your visit to experience.

Riboudin Retreats provides three meals a day during the retreat, lunch and dinner on arrival day, and breakfast and lunch on departure day. All meals are tasty, healthy, and vegetarian. They use their own free range organic eggs. France is the beloved country of cheese which is regularly included in meals, so please let them know if you are a vegan or if you have any allergies, particularly nuts.

The favorites include sweet potato noodles with satay sauce, tofu green Thai curry, roasted mixed vegetables with homemade pesto and pasta, goats cheese, and red pepper quiche with lentils and salad.

Driving direction from Étretat

  • If you are staying in Étretat, they are 3 kilometers outside the town past the campsite.
  • Take the second right up continue up the hill, Riboudin Retreats is on the right.

Arrival by train

If you choose to come by train from Paris, arrive at either Fécamp or Le Havre, 30-40 minutes away and both have bus links to the village. The number 24 bus passes in both directions and costs about 2 EUR.

Cancellation Policy

  • A reservation requires a deposit of 50% of the total price.
  • The deposit is fully refundable if the booking is cancelled up to 14 days before the arrival date.
  • The rest of the payment should be paid 7 days before arrival.
