Sadhna - literature and languages; Vedas are ancient scriptures from India that provide great spiritual and material knowledge for the upliftment of all people. Veda means knowledge. This knowledge has been passed down from the very beginning of time. Vedic culture has preserved the principles of great action and great thought that promote peace and harmony. Modern society can benefit tremendously from the Vedic knowledge and culture.
The school invites you to connect with the original teachings of the Vedas and enrich your life’s journey with this 5000-year tradition. Vedic life is simple - to learn. Another major theme of the Vedas is to be kind and thankful, doing good to others. A premium is put on educational and cultural activities that are beneficial for everyone.
The Vedic cultural center practices respect of all people regardless of race or any other material designation because of the divine presence of God in everyone. Education for making enlightened choices in life is the primary goal of IVCC for spreading light and peace in the world. Come and join the fun and be a participating volunteer to grow the "Right Education" for the benefit of children and future generations. You should observe complete silence and should switch off your mobiles during the course.
This five-day spiritual Vedic yoga and meditation retreat welcomes you for total development of consciousness and learn ancient values for a happy modern life. Vasudhaiv kutumbakam (the school is a global-family) is the mantra, people from any belief culture country can be part of IVCC. Courses are run solely on a non-profit basis. Charges are made just to cover the cost of food and accommodation. All expenses are met by donations from Swami Umesh Yogi workshops who experienced the benefits of Vedic science and wish to give others the same opportunity.
Sadhna is taught during the five-day residential courses. This period has been found to be the minimum necessary for new students to understand the technique and its benefits through their own experience.
International Vedic Culture Center (IVCC) is a Global Peace Education wing of Swami Umesh Yogi. It’s a social welfare project based on Vedic science. Rishikesh School of Yoga promotes all the courses and retreats organized at IVCC. They welcome you for total development of consciousness and learn ancient values for a happy modern life.
During the course, it is absolutely essential that all forms of prayer, worship, or religious ceremony: fasting, burning incense, counting beads, reciting mantras, singing, and dancing, etc. be discontinued. All other meditation techniques and healing or spiritual practices should also be suspended. This is not to condemn any other technique or practice but to give a fair trial to the technique of Vedic Sadhna in its purity.
Students are strongly advised that deliberately mixing other techniques of practice will impede and even reverse their progress. Despite repeated warnings by the teacher, there have been cases in the past where students have intentionally mixed this technique with a ritual or another practice, and have done themselves a great disservice. Any doubts or confusion which may arise should always be clarified by meeting with the teacher.
Included is a visit to Ganga Aarti.
Swami Umesh Yogi is the leading teacher for the training. He fills in as needed as Yogini Anisha, Rahul Yogi, Swami Brahmananda Saraswati, and Yogi Ryan teach the main classes. Yoga comes from Swami's family lineage's tradition. He has been teaching yoga since 1998 and has been involved in yoga since childhood. Now he travels to different countries in Europe, India, and the United States. His courses include yoga asana, transcendental meditation, philosophy, healing hand, and peace education.

A descendant of an ancestral spiritual lineage, trained in mental health nursing and other academic and spiritual studies, Lakshmi Elen López de Sousa loves working with yoga Nidra and different methods of meditation and relaxation, which helps her students to improve in all facets of life. Her option of living a Vedic life has also led her to spread and teach Bhakti yoga (mantras, japa, kirtan, prayers, etc) and Vedic cusine for healthy food and mindful eating.
Rishikesh is the birthplace of yoga, the Himalayas and the sacred Ganga are charged with spiritual vibrations and intense devotion, and the original “rishis” (seekers) experienced their true nature here, because of this.
