Tania Plahay

Tania is a passionate, experienced and committed Hatha and Vinyasa yoga teacher. She is also a qualified prenatal yoga teacher and meditation teacher. She employs a holistic and responsive teaching style, to facilitate a sense of quiet self-awareness in her students, and learning about the body, the asanas and breathing techniques. Her classes are well suited for beginners in yoga or advanced students, from mum-to-be to the elderly.

Mahalia Pellett

Mahalia has been teaching yoga for the past two years, having completed her 200-hour Ashtanga Vinyasa course with The Yoga People. Since then, she has completed a 100-hour Yin yoga course (September 2014), and a 100-hour advanced Ashtanga Vinyasa course (September 2015). She is incredibly passionate about the many benefits of living a yogic lifestyle, physically, mentally, and spiritually. she is wholeheartedly committed to sharing this with others, and believes that yoga and meditation are for everyone, regardless of age or ability.

Emma Corkery

Emma started practicing yoga in 2004, and was initially attracted to the physical health benefits, and the inner space created through meditation. Her interest in yoga and meditation grew steadily from that point. In 2010, she started teaching children’s yoga and working with parents and their babies. Emma found this so fulfilling and a lot of fun that it inspired her to train as a school teacher, and share her other passions for art and creativity. She completed her 200-hour Ashtanga and Vinyasa flow yoga training in India. Her style of teaching is gentle and fun.

Autumn Laura Cunliffe

Laura has been practicing yoga and meditation since she was seventeen years old (more ‘seriously’ 7 years ago), and intuitive dance-movement practicing for many years. Studying art, psychology, then creative arts therapies, and recently Thai massage / bodywork, she is inspired by feeling, following energies, and digging into the mysteries of life. Laura now teaches and share a heart-based Hatha yoga, focusing on correct alignment in postures (so that you can get the most out of them), and influenced by awareness of the inner energetic of Kundalini yoga.

Dania Iskenius

Dania was first introduced to yoga by her mother when she was five years old, but it wasn’t until her late twenties that it became a crucial part of her life. In 2010, she participated in an intensive teacher training at the Ashtanga yoga studio in Freiburg, focusing on alignment and assists. To further her education in dynamic styles of yoga, she received her yoga alliance certification from Frog Lotus Yoga, at beautiful southern Spain, in 2012. Dania’s classes are mostly a dynamic mix of Vinyasa, and Ashtanga style with a welcoming and encouraging atmosphere for beginners & advanced students

Deborah Richards

Deborah has practiced yoga off and on the mat the most part of her life, although the full impact and realization of the shifts that yoga can create, only dawned on her in the last few years. She finds the human body to be amazing in the way it works, and reflects the mental, and emotional states. Deborah bases her teaching around what is important to her: emphasizing practice with both awareness and an open enquiring mind, and ultimately, trying to have calm, and joy in life. In 1999, she graduated as a homeopath, that knowledge certainly benefits her yoga practice.

Jenny Mace

Jenny at first loved the soft and gentle approach of yoga and she still does. However, as she regained her mental and emotional strength and increasingly made yoga her number one priority, she began to reap the benefits from Ashtanga, Flow Yoga, Bikram and Hot Flow as well as from practicing in different environments including retreats, studios, beaches, parks, Ashrams and at home. Jenny's yoga practice is further complemented by her love of singing and dance and of course she intertwines the spirit of yoga into these too.

Anna Hildreth

Anna is a certified Vinyasa Flow Yoga teacher & a neuro-physiotherapist. Her classes are often inspired by nature's elements allowing her students to connect more deeply to the surroundings. In India, she lived a simple life of purity & tranquility learning from Hatha & Ashtanga masters. She discovered that she enjoys most the creativity of Vinyasa Flow. She practises Ashtanga regularly & enjoy fusing elements of the series into her flow classes. Anna believes in finding a harmonious relationship between energies & often teaches & practises Yin Yoga restoring the balance of body, mind & spirit

Gemma Williams

Gemma has been teaching yoga since 2009, and continues to learn from different Yogic backgrounds. Gemma teaches Vinyasa, Hatha, Ashtanga and Yin Yoga. She loves to learn about the physical, emotional, mental and spiritual bodies and how we can bring them to balance, to be the truest version of ourselves, and live the magical lives we deserve.

Malin Johansson

Malin came to yoga to heal from injury. She signed up to a studio class to see if yoga could help heal her back. Since then her life has been an amazing journey of self discovery. One year after she started her practice, she signed up for her first 200 hour Teacher Training, focusing on Yang (Ashtanga) and Yin Yoga. She completed her second 200 hour Teacher Training in London, and her 300 hour training in October 2016. Her Yang classes are a dynamic mix of Vinyasa and Ashtanga style and her Yin classes are nourishing and meditative but not without challenges.

Lara Kuhlmann

Lara is a professional contemporary dancer and this is how she got my first access to Yoga, within her dance training. Hungry for more profound understanding and the desire to share her insights after already having been teaching Yoga in summer youth camps, she completed my teaching certificate in (Hot) Vinyasa Yoga in 2016 and started sharing her passion for Yoga with more Yogis. Now, she is continuing her Yogic path and research while teaching Vinyasa, Vinyasa Flow, Hatha, Yin and Aerial Yoga. Her teaching style is welcoming, open, encouraging and very dynamic.

Donna Unwin

Donna's first experience with yoga was when she was training as a professional dancer. She qualified as an Ashtanga-Vinyasa teacher after studying at Sampoorna Yoga in Goa two years ago after teaching and performing dance for over ten years. She has been teaching in different places in England ever since. She teaches a variety of styles: vinyasa flow, ashtanga, yin yang flows, but her passion is a fusion of Ashtanga Vinyasa. She likes how creative and free she can be with the flows and like to explore different ways to move and shift the postures.

"Wonderful retreat in the mountains"

The location in the mountains is great, and yoga on the platform looking out at the scenery is awesome. We had 5 hours of yoga most days, and that included a 30 minute sunrise meditation. The immersion in yoga was fantastic and Anna gave us a varied and interesting selection of yoga practices. She included mantra and visualisation, as well as theory, which was excellent.

"Disconnect and recharge in the Spanish countryside."

Elliott is an experienced, fantastic host with a big heart and great sense of humor. His commitment to off-grid, sustainable living is inspiring and his food delicious. The accommodations are rustic but comfortable. I slept better in the tent than in many hotels. The outdoor shower is beautiful and an experience. Many great trees and flowers surround the property even during the dry summer months. The view of the mountain facing the property is a highlight of many parts of the day. The schedule is well-designed to give plenty of time to the yoga practice but also leave a lot of time daily to rest and relax. It was a beautiful experience to meet my fellow retreaters and simply be in nature for 6 days.

The whole experience from the location, the company, the host, the food was just amazing. It is rustic a proper getaway from it all off grid learning curve, not for those wanting luxury but I felt it just added to the chilled out vibe which was exactly what i was after.

"I <3 Bagend"

You have to experience Bagend to really know what an incredible place it is. Elliot is the most wondeful, open, warm, friendly and "gorgeous" host you could ever wish for. An oasis of peace amd tranquillity, an escape from the world, Bagend is a very special place. As a voga "virgin" the classes were challenging but Lara was such an encouraging teacher. The meditation was the best part for me, in just a couple of days I had headspace I haven't had in months. A truly restorative experience that I'll hold in my heart until I go back!

"Couldn't have asked for a more perfect retreat!"

Absolutely wonderful experience at Bagend with Elliot and his team!! It is difficult to capture how incredible the whole week was - from delicious, freshly prepared meals to thoughtfully-led yoga and meditation sessions, this retreat was exactly what I needed. Nestled safely in the mountains and among beautiful lemon trees, I made some dear friendships and had the opportunity to do some deep reflection. Looking forward to returning to this place of pure happiness!!

I had a wonderful time, the opportunity to learn to relax and do nothing during the day has been magical and the way the yoga has made my body feel has been amazing. The food was always beautiful, fresh, healthy and lots of it and the tents were snug and cosy. Elliot is amazing, to open his home up time and time again to strangers is a truly magical quality and he does it so genuinely, I felt so welcome and at home, thank-you.
