The accommodation options are on private, double, and triple room basis. The center is opened by some locals who live in Pisac. It has nice rooms decorated by mandalas, bathrooms with hot water, Wi-Fi, a beautiful garden with a fireplace, a fully equipped kitchen, a nice yoga hall, and a view over the beautiful and powerful mountains of the Sacred Valley that is such a sight to wake up to.

Sacred Journeys always look forward to staying at the center and celebrate this wonderful journey in such a wonderful place. The accommodation is mid-range and comfortable. Rooms may be shared by females together and males together. If you are a couple, please let Sacred Journeys know so that they can arrange rooms for you.

For two nights, you will be accommodated in Aguas Calientes by Machu Picchu during the Machu Picchu trip.

Ayahuasca schedule

Sacred Journeys offers Ayahuasca healing ceremonies during retreats. The diet and activities will be adjusted around the ceremonies. They will be sharing information about the medicine work prior to participating in a ceremony and they will also be offering support and integration circles after the work, if necessary.

You will journey safely and well in the Sacred Valley. The facilitators are very experienced and are good musicians as well. This work is held in a very safe and beautiful space with the beautiful mountains of the Sacred Valley surrounding the place. Many people seek to heal and free themselves from physical ailments as well.

This is a time when you will be blessed with the possibility to heal ailments quicker than ever. You are in a time of quick transformations and mass consciousness shifts. How these shifts are experienced depends on how much baggage and limiting patterns people still hold unto.

The indigenous people of Peru are masters in plant medicine and the knowledge has been brought on from generation to generation. They know so much about the plants in the jungle and what each one is useful for. The medicine work is done with the grandmother.

The ceremonies offered will happen in the evening throughout the night and is a highly transformative experience. You do not need to have attended one before in order to participate. Beautiful music is played throughout the night and a special space is held. The medicine is known to help to heal addictions, psychic illnesses, physical illnesses or imbalances, and clear out anything that needs clearing and healing at this time.

It is recommended and important to look at what areas of your life you would like healing and set the intention before this work. The diet will be suited to this work a couple of days before and the day after. Being in the powerful mountains of the Sacred Valley will be very supportive of this work.

Vegan cooking courses

Sacred Journeys offers vegan cooking courses where you can learn how to make your own yummy and healthy vegan cooked and raw food. They teach dishes that are very tasty and healthy and often missed in a vegan diet. You will never feel bored eating plant-based foods again.

Learn how to make meals such as vegan cheese that melts and slices, a variety of vegan milks, the best vegan milkshake, vegan bread spreads, the best ever vegan pancakes, sauerkraut from scratch which is great for your stomach and full of probiotics, raw vegan cheese cake, the best veggie burgers, raw chocolate, and a lot more.

Yoga and meditation

You will be able to attend yoga class every morning on this trip. The form of yoga that is taught is from the eight limbed tradition, Rajadhiraja yoga. It comes closer to classical, effective yoga asanas that are relaxing and stimulates and massages the glands in the body. Angel will teach yoga asanas that will suit everyone and that you can learn and practice on your own too.

In the classes, you will do warm ups, yoga asanas, yoga massage, and deep guided relaxation. The yoga form is deep, gentle, and very effective. Angel will guide the meditation and will also teach a mantra.

You will also learn shielding and grounding and you will meditate together which strengthens the effects of meditation. Some of the benefits of meditation are: it relaxes the mind and body deeply and it calms the breath and blood pressure and helps the balance of melatonin in the pineal gland.

Meditation is a healing where you can relax much deeper and get in touch with your core and heart. It is an ancient art practiced in many parts of the planet. Meditation can improve memory and give clarity of mind. It is very recommended. You will start every day with meditation before the yoga class and end the day with a meditation before dinner. It will also improve your sleep.

Sacred Journeys hopes this trip can be deeply transformative and bring something new and very positive into your life. Please note that you do not need to have practiced yoga and meditation in order to attend and you do not need to attend all classes but it is very recommended. It is also said that regular yoga and meditation practices prevent diseases and aging and it reduces stress.

Anybody can practice yoga and meditation. Sacred Journeys will also adjust the classes to the group. In addition, they will follow a healthy yogic, vegetarian or vegan diet with many salads and smoothies on the tour. This will help in meditation and also the healing work. You are of course allowed to buy other food on your own on the trip and skip a yoga class if you need to but it is recommended that you partake.

The classes have high quality, and you will be taught according to your level. Sacred Journeys supports the students and helps them listen to their body. Nobody will be pushed or rushed into a pose they're not ready for. Sacred Journeys uses deep breathing and has a string focus on the whole being, and meditation.

Angel Amita
Angel, born in Norway in 1978, started hosting these tours in 2014 after a profound stay in Mount Shasta, California. She has been meditating and doing yoga for over 20 years. Angel is qualified classical homeopath, Advanced Thetahealer, Ananda Marga 200 h. Yoga Teacher, Yoga Bananas Kids Yoga Teacher, Advanced Water& Landhealer. She has traveled to and taught yoga and meditation in many countries. She speaks English, German, Spanish, and Norwegian. In addition, Angel has worked with Peruvian plant medicine since 2008 and is a long time devotee, mother, and founder of the charity Mother Earth.


The retreat will be held in Nidra Wasi Yoga Bed and Breakfast, Pisac, Sacred Valley, Peru. Peru is a special place on earth with so much to offer for everyone who visits it. Whether you would like to see Machu Picchu, go to the Amazon jungle, shop in colorful markets, learn Spanish or Quequa, visit Lake Titicaca, or attend an Ayahuasca or yoga retreat, they got it all. The apus or sacred mountains that surround the Sacred Valley are very alive and powerful. They provide a perfect setting for a deep journey on all levels.

During this retreat, you will be served deliciously prepared vegan and sattvic food daily. The diet is a yogic diet which is also called Ayurvedic diet. Sacred Journeys uses locally grown and mostly organic produce and ingredients.

There will be smoothies, salads, quinoas, soups, roasted vegetables, beans, rice, some of the 200 types of Peruvian potatoes and sweet potatoes including the traditional ones, ancient Incan corn and many other dishes. Most of the foods will be raw and all meals are healthy, fresh, and local. They will also use local super foods.

There will be no onions, garlic, mushrooms. A vegan diet is sustainable, healthy, tasty, and there are a lot of dishes you can make from just plants. Do not worry if you are not used to eating a vegan diet. You can also buy food in the market or eat at many cafes and restaurants around the area.

To eat a vegan diet for a couple of weeks has many advantages and the food is so tasty and good that you would not miss anything. Please let Sacred Journeys know if you have any dietary requirements and they will do their best to accommodate you.

Things to do (optional)

You may add a four-day trip to Lake Titicaca from February 3 to 7, 2017 for an additional cost of 299 USD. The fee is inclusive of visits to Puno, Uros or the straw islands, Isla del Sol or the Island of the Sun, entry to Bolivia and visit to Copacabana, 3 nights accommodation, travel in a first class bus, guides, daily meditation, and yoga when possible.

You can also add a day trip to Lares hot springs deep in the Andean mountains and experience the natural hot springs of various heats that are healthy for the mind and body, detoxing baths, stargazing, meditation, and yoga with comfortable transportation and accommodations for an additional fee of 50 USD.

Spa treatments

Nidra Wasi Yoga Bed and Breakfast offers ancient Thai massage for 50 USD per two-hour session.
