Rejuvenate, energize, and tone your body on this retreat getaway, halfway between Los Angeles and San Francisco. Sagrada Wellness welcomes you to a New Year's yoga, Pilates, cleansing, and detox retreats at the beautiful Central Coast in California. This acclaimed retreat will be led by Nicole Currie and hosted by owners Scott and Eva at the majestic San Luis Obispo retreat.
During the retreat, you will be provided four nights of accommodation at the Sagrada Wellness. You will stay in the charming ranch, lakeside, hike on private trails on the ranch, and marvel in the abundant natural wildlife.
Sagrada Wellness offers a 360-degree view of the natural world and is an architecturally designed modern farmhouse retreat. The newly constructed home designed by co-owner and architect Scott Currie has a contemporary, rustic, country aesthetic feel that offers guests a special place to reflect on peace, awareness, and rejuvenation in the majestic ranches and natural landscape.
A cool cleanse in Sagrada's outdoor shower is refreshing after yoga, or a walk on one of Sagrada's nature trails. Sagrada's all-inclusive retreat is designed around a landscaped courtyard, where guests can enjoy their meals or a glass of wine at sunset.
At the end of the day, you ma relax in the hot tub under the starry night skies. Outdoor areas provide ideal places for lounging, reading, journaling or rejuvenating with a refreshing afternoon nap. You will be provided with comfy linens and spa towels.
Private rooms have a queen-size bed with comfy linens and open onto a spacious patio with gorgeous ranch views. Bathrooms (shared) are across the hall and are accented with Italian tiles, reclaimed barn wood from the property, and modern waterfall showers. Bathrooms are cleaned daily and fresh towels are always provided. Environmentally-friendly laundry detergent and sun drying is used whenever possible.
Communal room is a shared accommodation in a sunny mountain vista room. Large outside patio with gorgeous views is the ideal space for journaling, chatting with new friends, or meditating on all of Sagrada's nature sounds.
The communal room has a sitting area, plenty of cubby spaces for your clothes, toiletries, yoga gear, and large bathroom. Bathrooms are cleaned daily and fresh towels are always provided. Environmentally-friendly laundry detergent and sun drying is used whenever possible.
To join this retreat, you do not have to be a skillful yoga practitioner. All levels are welcome, from beginners to advance. This retreat is a nurturing mixture of Vinyasa flow yoga, Pilates, Restorative yoga, and Bollywood dance. Calm your mind down on a meditation stroll through peaceful pathways and a pure mountain-fed lake. When the night falls, get together with new friends around the fire pit or let your stresses melt away in the Jacuzzi.
Begin your day practicing a one-and-a-half-hour flow yoga class in the spectacular yoga studio that opens onto large oak trees and gardens. In the late afternoon, enjoy an uplifting Pilates mat class that will tone your abdominal and bring balance to your spine. After this fun workout, rejuvenate your mind and body with deep Restorative yoga postures that will leave you feeling grounded.
As you embark on your inward journey of renewal, you will feel a deeper sense of connectedness to oneself and the beautiful nature that surrounds the beautiful sanctuary. Outdoor areas also provide ideal places for lounging, reading, journaling, or rejuvenating with a refreshing afternoon nap.
Nicole has been practicing and studying yoga for over 11 years. She is a certified yoga teacher from the White Lotus Foundation, has completed an additional 500-hour yoga teacher training with Yoga Works, and also has a Prenatal yoga certification from Yoga Fit and Yoga Works. She is a STOTT Pilates instructor and has an M.F.A. in dance from NYU’s Tisch School of the Arts. Her yoga classes are a Vinyasa Flow style that combines thorough instruction to accommodate each individual needs.
Eva Inglizian L.Ac
Eva facilitates guests to look at their well-being through the holistic lens of traditional Chinese medicine. Eva's intuitive understanding of healthy living can be seen in her treatment offerings, health consultations, and Sagrada's delicious cuisine. She is also a licensed acupuncturist, herbalist, and qi gong teacher.
This retreat will be held at Sagrada Wellness, a 45-acre picturesque mountain paradise in San Luis Obispo wine country in California, USA. Sagrada Wellness is located in California's Central Coast, 12 miles north of San Luis Obispo. It is midpoint between Los Angeles and San Francisco, a three and a half hours' drive from each. It is about four miles off the famed Highway 101.
You will be served breakfast, lunch and dinner daily during the retreat. Also included in the price is a hand-blended afternoon organic herbal tea by co-owner and acupuncturist Eva Inglizian L.Ac. Purified spring water and an abundance of fresh local fruit is always available in the retreat.
Because food is a vital part in this retreat, a four-day purifying meal plan for a seasonal cleanse has been formulated by Eva. With her knowledge of traditional Chinese medicine to create uplifting and health-enhancing meals, she will make the meals play a big role in helping you through the detoxification process. On this retreat, you will have a wholesome dining experience as you embark on your inward journey of renewal.
The Sagrada's kitchen is organic, vegetarian, and mainly gluten-free. A lot of time is spent on the menu menu planning for each retreat, and the ingredients are from local farmers' market and health food stores to supplement the fresh produce form the retreat's organic garden. All cuisine are rustic yet gourmet and is served family style. Meals are prepared fresh each day with great attention to flavor and quality.
The garden is more and more productive and menus are inspired by the best of what the gardens can produce. Each morning, you will be served strong organic coffee, organic eggs with sprouted bread and jelly, sliced tomatoes, yogurt, and the famous homemade granola. You will surely go home stimulated and inspired to cook great meals at home for yourself, your family, and your friends.
Modest local wines will also be served throughout the retreat. You may bring any wines that you would like to share with the group and add them to the mix. Every afternoon, Eva blends a fresh tea with organic herbs to create a fresh and vibrant herbal beverage. Sagrada cuisine has been a yogi's epicurean delight for over a decade now and it is guaranteed that meal times at Sagrada will be nourishing and memorable.

Take relaxing strolls to breathtaking vistas or bring your water bottle and plan on a challenging hike up and down rolling hills and through untouched canyons. Manzanita trees, gigantic oaks, sacred mountain sage, an abundance of California poppies, wild turkey, and exotic birds will be some of the natural beauty that you may experience on your journey.
Trails that are recommended are the Rinconada hiking trail, five minutes from Sagrada Wellness Yoga Retreats, and the Bishops Peak Trail, 15 minutes from Sagrada Wellness Yoga Retreats.
For all cowgirls and cowboys, you may put on your boots and saddle up. Enjoy a guided excursion on well-trained horses through breathtaking California terrain, taking in unspoiled nature and a plethora of wildlife. Horseback riding at Shangri-La Ranch, five minutes from Sagrada Wellness, can be arranged for an additional fee.

Please book your flight to arrive at San Luis Obispo County Regional Airport (SBP). From the airport in San Luis Obispo to Sagrada Wellness, it is about a 20-minute ride via taxi, Uber, or Lyft.
If you want to see California and save some money, fly into Los Angeles International Airport (LAX), San Francisco International Airport (SFO), or San Jose International Airport (SJC). Flying into any of these three airports will require a car rental. The drive from these airports is beautiful and full of interesting sites along the way.
