One of Paul's main gifts is to be able to relate the teachings in a very down-to-earth way for the modern seeker. He does not take life or yoga too seriously and as a result, the discussions and philosophical sessions are lively and humorous, helping to explain the meaning behind the practices and philosophy.
Combined with a committed regular practice, Arielle's education has enabled her to apply knowledge on yoga as therapy, the science of pranayama, and rebuilding faulty biomechanics into her yoga teaching, guiding practitioners toward a better understanding of their physicality. As a course presenter, she has the ability to explain complex information in an interesting, practical and easy-to-understand format.
Tracy is passionate about helping people to re-ignite their vibrancy, radiant health and well-being through nutrition, yoga and mind-body holistic therapies. She believes in daily practice to evolve greater self-awareness, love and acceptance.

"Serene and beautiful"
The instructors we’re very welcoming and warm. They were knowledgable, prodessional and attentive. The location is beautiful, just next to the beach and creates a wonderful surrounding. The facilities were over all expectations, both the accomodation, the shalas and the rest of the dining space and resting space.

"Wonderful Week of Wellness"
My boyfriend and I just enjoyed a fantastic week of yoga, core, cycle. The classes were challenging (just what we were looking for), the food was healthy and delicious and the location was very conducive to relaxation and quiet. It was great to have the option in the morning of an instructor-led class or teacher-assisted self practice. We enjoyed the temple walk excursion as well as walks on the beach and in the surrounding neighborhood. We felt it was an excellent value for the money. Highly recommend and would go back!

"Exceeded expectations "
1. Healthy, tasty and filling vegetarian food. All food was served as buffet. Breakfast started at 6.30am and brunch ran until 1pm. Fruit snack was at 3.30pm and dinner was from 6-8pm. I was never hungry and didn't have to buy extra food.
2. Great Yoga Cycle Programme. Having done my research, what I liked about the programme at Samahita was the balance between fitness, meditation and yoga. All the instructors were fabulous. It lived up to expectations.
3. Clean rooms and great bathroom. I loved the well sized bathroom. The rooms were very clean.
4. Great location. I loved how we were right in the south of the island. As a retreat I think it was good that it was located on the more remote side of the island. The facilities were so good that I didn't want to leave the site anyway.
5. Great spa. Relative to Thailand, the treatments were expensive. However the quality, ambiance and the professionalism of the treatments and therapists were excellent. If you purchase the wellness package then you get a daily treatment which is great value for money.

Samahita is located in the south of the island, in a secluded and quiet part of the island, away from tourists which made it perfect for a relaxing retreat. I stayed for four nights at Samahita and I wished I stayed longer. I was a solo traveller and met lots of other solo travellers who were really lovely. I had a private room with a private bathroom. The room was comfortable, clean and the shower was excellent. The staff were professional and friendly. The food was so filling, healthy, of high quality and tasty - I couldn't believe it was vegetarian. There is a bar where you can purchase extra juices, coffees or food but I didn't need to as there was so much food on offer and I was never hungry. The yoga core cycle programme was excellent. If you are looking for a balance between meditation, yoga and fitness then this is the place to go. I would highly recommend it for beginners to intermediate yogi practitioners. Though I saw advanced yogis who took part in the self-practice with a guided instructor. Samahita organised little afternoon/evening trips which were complimentary. The fitness and yoga instructors were knowledgeable and brilliant. It is also okay to opt in or out of different activities. The resort has a lovely pool area and a private sandy beach. I had two spa treatments and I would highly recommend the spa. Though it is more expensive relative to Thailand, the professionalism, ambiance and quality of the service made it all the worth while. Overall I would say that this retreat offers a value for money yet high quality programme and retreat and I have been raving about it to all my friends and family.
For me the best of all the experience was to appreciate the value of breathing and meditation. One week in Samahita made me more aware of my existence. The place is paradise, and food is more than delicious. I enjoy knowing people from all over the world.

f you are searching for the perfect yoga hideaway - this is your place. I stayed there for Christmas/NewYears Retreat 2016/17 and found everything way over my expectations.
The yoga shala - placed in between a tranquil meditation garden and the sea - is airy and spacious. World class yoga teaching, straight focused an what is really important to improve one owns practice. Core & restorative classes that are very well designed and helpful to build strength needed for asana. Fresh, very tasteful and with loving care prepared food and desserts and if you want to, super smoothies, absolutely worth to be paid for separately.
The girls from the spa are hilarious and adorable and I made extensive use of the offered massages, facials, pedicures....loved it. If you still might feel any inconvenience there is even a wonderful nurse to help you out of that. The rooms are quiet, cozy and very well taken care of by a superb housekeeping. When arriving reception makes you feel very welcome and is anytime answering any question or resolving any issue one might have. All in all its easy chic but high class - a place you can easily loose your heart and return to.
