Om Ham is one of Bali's unique holistic retreat centers, infused with love, good intention, and a very tangible energy as it was hand-built by Guru Ketut Arsana and fellow locals. It is nestled amidst the serene rice paddies of the Ubud highlands, in the quaint village of Junjungan; a mere 20-minute drive from the city center.

Dr. Ayu Saraswati
Dr. L. Ayu Saraswati is an award-winning author, award-winning teacher, engaging speaker, innovative consultant, and an associate professor and graduate director of women’s studies at the University of Hawaii. Prior to her current position, she was an assistant professor in women’s studies at the University of Kansas and a postdoctoral fellow in women’s studies at Emory University. She received her PhD in women’s studies from the University of Maryland, College Park. She lives in Honolulu.
Amanda Webster
Yoga Alliance E-RYT 500 (Yoga)
Amanda Webster is currently the owner of Shivatree Yoga School. Amanda is also a certified Ayurveda counselor, through the American Institute of Vedic Studies and often incorporates the ancient holistic practices of Ayurveda into her teaching. Her specialty is breaking down asana and Vinyasa into manageable steps to suit each individual. She believes that the genuine practice of yoga intensifies when you leave your mat and looks forward to helping you establish this awareness, too, for a healthier lifestyle and more content outlook on life.
Shervin Boloorian
Shervin Boloorian is the founder of Sound Healing Bali and a certified Tama-Do (way of the soul) sound and color therapist. Shervin is also the co-founder of Bali Sound Healers Collective, the world’s first community of sound healers. Currently based in Ubud, Shervin earned his professional credentials from Fabien Maman’s Tama-Do Way of the Soul Academy (started in 1988), holds a master's degree, trained in urban shamanism, and is a passionate lifelong vocalist, songwriter, and multi-instrumental musician.

The price of the package includes daily breakfast, lunch, dinner, and afternoon tea. The food is based on Bali usadha herbs and spices to support wellness and a healthy lifestyle. The food is not only about food to survive, but to broaden your knowledge of mother nature and ultimately, the universe within you. The restaurant serves breakfast, lunch, and dinner and has a variety of freshly made juices and deliciously healthy smoothies daily.

You are what you eat, as the saying goes. The food that you eat transmits specific energetic vibrations that influence your overall well-being and because of this, the wholesome restaurant practices cooking with good energy and intentions. Below are some of the activities and excursions that you may join while you are staying at Om Ham Resort and Retreat.


The Indonesian art of batik involves a complex process of wax application and painting on fabric. Museum Puri Lukisan in Ubud holds private courses. Create your own work from scratch or choose from a number of traditional templates. All materials are included, as well as a delicious Balinese lunch and entrance to the museum, which houses a collection of contemporary art.

Coffee visit

Meet an expert in coffee plantation, who will be glad to demonstrate how to serve good coffee in your cup. You will pass a breathtaking Ceking rice field terrace before drowning your fatigue into a relaxing bath at the volcanic pool with the Batur Lake view.

Cook your own meals

Eating a chef’s super delicious food is not your only choice of each day, as you can try to cook the traditional meals of Balinese and then taste your own recipe. Do remember that Balinese people love spicy food.

Cycling down the hill

Start to push the pedal and explore Balinese culture. You can feel the rouge of rice paddies and fresh air from your tires as you paddle the bike with the company of Bali's natural environment. The end of the journey will be marked by the tasty lunch and one hour relaxing massage afterward.

Horse riding

You can discover the uniqueness of Bali on horseback. When welcomed by the villagers into their home, an authentic example of traditional Balinese architecture, you will experience a sense of warmth and intimacy. In addition to this cultural immersion, this activity also offers a unique experience for beginner and experienced riders.

Jogging and trekking

Take your running shoes and then go for either a pleasant sunset or sunrise walk at Campuhan Hill. Enjoy the beauty of the sun’s glaze as it is rising or setting as you walk through the path in the middle of the green ‘alang-alang’. You may take a seat at Campuhan Bridge to kill the time or take another shopping chance. After a long day of walking, a sparkling refreshing juice and mini foot treatment will end your delightful journey.

If you love dancing and you wonder how to move flexibly like Balinese people do, you may try this Balinese dancing.

Learn how to make a Balinese offering

Many types of traditional events are often held with many types of stuff and offering made by the people. Balinese people never stop doing their utmost in lifting up prayers through the offerings they make. If you feel like learning is your passion, making offering like a Balinese should be one of the things you experience.

Learn to play the gamelan

Gamelan is Balinese music which brings a sexy sound and movement to your soul. If you want to enjoy it deeply, you may try to learn how to play the collaborated instruments. You will be dropped off to an expert house to learn it.

Morning walk and meet with the locals

Refresh your morning mind by walking through the town and blending with the local people around Junjungan Village and know how they live their life. You will see for yourself how their culture works from within their circle.


The Bali Center for Artistic Creativity in Ubud offers individual art classes as well as longer custom-tailored courses. A single class will run you for three hours of instruction and basic materials. The center also runs university credit courses and art therapy programs.

Shopping and hunting

Explore Ubud, which is renown as a shopping area starting from Tegalalang village as the source of unique handicrafts. Then, you will go to Hanoman street where yoga lovers find their needs. Remember to visit Atman Café to enjoy their soft melted homemade gelato and the best organic coffee in town. You will stop by Ubud Bodyworks Center to have one hour of relaxing massage before getting into another journey at the Monkey Forest sanctuary.


Learn how to pierce, solder, and shape your own silver ring or pendant at Studio Perak, one of Ubud's most popular jewelry workshops. Your masterpiece may not turn out as polished as the pieces on display, but they'll certainly come with a great story. This half-day workshop includes five grams of silver to play with.

Spiritual journey

Senses purification is a prerequisite for further mind and spirit purification. By visiting Sebatu water temple, you can get immersed within the sacred waters and get a prayer as well as blessing from the holy priest in the inner temple as the conclusion. Sarong, sash, and offering are provided.

Sports and splash

Have a day out and then challenge yourself to conquer the renowned white water rafting. As the conclusion of the challenging journey, a delightful lunch and a one hour massage will be given to you as the cooling down part.
