Soma Yoga Institute is pleased to offer a 200-hour therapeutic yoga teacher training program. This immersion includes an in-depth study of vinyasa flow yoga, therapeutic and anatomy informed alignment principles, transformational sequencing, and the path of yoga as a framework for holistic health.
Okreblue Yoga Retreat Center is located at Filizi beach, the quiet side of Santa Maria bay. Situated amongst cedar trees and lovely thyme aromas is just a stones throw from the sandy beach. It offers apartments which comfortably accommodate up to 4 guests as well as rooms and studios; some of which are equipped with a kitchenette. Okreblue offers what anyone desires for their ideal vacation; tranquility, wonderful food, beautiful beaches with crystal clear waters and of course, nature. Expect clean, simple and tastefully organized rooms with verandas and en-suite bathrooms. Triple shared rooms, double rooms and singles are available for teacher training participants.

This program offers students in-depth skills to explore yoga as a vehicle for vibrant health, self-transformation, and personal empowerment. Graduates of this program are prepared to teach a variety of yoga class types, including all levels of Vinyasa yoga, alignment-based classes, yoga foundations, senior, gentle, and Restorative yoga.
This program offers students in-depth skills to explore Yoga as a vehicle for vibrant health, self-transformation, and personal empowerment. The instruction will cover a wide range of Yoga techniques including Yoga postures, anatomy, relaxation, breath awareness, pranayama, meditations to calm the mind, contemplations to transform limiting tendencies into life affirming thought patterns, and the application of clear principles of alignment to create safety, balance and freedom in Yoga poses. Students explore concepts from Ayurveda, the Upanishads, Patanjali and the Chakra System as frameworks for the application of Yoga as a journey towards radiant health and wellbeing.
The asana emphasis includes both level one/two alignment based vinyasa flow sequencing as well as gentler and restorative variations. Expect to practice asana from all category of poses including standing poses, hip openers, forward bends, backward bends, twists, inversions, balancing supine, seated and prone. Modifications for all levels of practitioners are provided and all levels of abilities are welcome to attend.
Rather than offer standard sequencing or rigid methodologies, students are exposed to frameworks that inspire each trainee to adapt the practices, awaken their creativity and find their own authentic voice as a teacher. The Greece program is scheduled as an intensive program. While the program days are full, the activities of the day are kept diverse and active. The days really are a wonderful mix of digesting concepts intellectually, applying the concepts experientially, and diving into the practices of yoga. Care is taken within the program schedule to ensure that students have a healthy experience both physically and mentally. They promise not to keep you sedentary for too long. There is physical activity and deep relaxation built into the program every day.
Please note: there will be one full day off mid-way through the program to explore, rest or catch up on your studies
Liz Heffernan, E-RYT 500, C-IAYT is an international yoga teacher and Integrative Yoga Therapist. She draws from over two decades of personal yoga practice, 22 years of teaching and extensive training in the Hatha yoga systems of Kripalu, Ashtanga, and Anusara. She currently directs and leads Yoga teacher trainings and workshops worldwide, provides unique one-to-one mentoring for yoga teachers, instructs daily yoga classes and offers private therapeutic sessions. Additionally, Liz serves as a mentor/faculty for the Kripalu School of Integrative Yoga Therapy Professional Yoga Therapy program.
Innately perceptive beyond her years and wildly passionate about everything in her path, Molly applies a level of determination and delight that is truly one of a kind. Her unique teaching style is both intense and focused but lightened with creativity, compassion, and humor. She believes that this balance of effort and surrender is the key to unlocking the awareness of one's true nature. A student of yoga since the age of 16, Molly has studied intensely with Chuck Miller and completed teacher training with Annie Carpenter and Don Stapelton.
It was the gift of chronic pain that brought Alison to her yoga practice in 1993. Through study & practice of all the limbs of Yoga, she found powerful tools to heal her body & mind. Her perspective on yoga as a holistic healing science inspires her to teach awareness of the physical, energetic, emotional, and spiritual elements in her classes & private sessions. Alison has been leading group classes in dance and yoga since 2002. She has ten years of experience as full time yoga therapist & has been leading 200 & 300 hour yoga teacher trainings since 2010.

Gluten free, wheat free, dairy free, vegetarian and vegan diets are accommodated upon request.
You may also like to visit Okreblue's Café that serves light meals and drinks in a wonderful, chilled out atmosphere with lovely sea views. Their menu includes breakfast items, salads, cold plates, smoothies with super foods, raw vegetarian & vegan sweet delights, herbal teas, organic honey and tacchini (a local specialty).

Please book your flight to arrive at Paros Airport (PAS). Aegean Air flies from Athens to Paros. Make sure you book your tickets well in advance.
There are two ports in Athens: Rafina port and Pireaus port. Rafina port is closer to the airport and you can get there either by taxi or bus. By bus, itwill take you about 45 minutes and it costs 3 EUR. Pireaus port is further from airport than Rafina, and you can get there by bus, metro, or taxi. The metro and bus are both very convenient because they will leave you just a few meters from where you get the boat to Paros. Both the bus and the metro take about one hour (the bus may take a little longer, depending on the traffic) to get to Pireaus and cost 10 EUR.
There are two companies that sail to Paros: Blue Star Ferries and Hellenic Seaways. BlueStar ferries takes about 4 hours and 30 minutes and runs twice a day with tickets starting at 33 EUR
Hellenic Seaways takes about 2 hours and 45 minutes with tickets starting at 45 to 50 EUR.
Another option is to take a boat from Mykonos island. It is a 45-minute boat ride to Paros. When you are in Paros, a taxi from the port is 32 EUR, Soma Yoga Institute will organize combined rides for you, when possible, for 10 EUR per person. Taxi rides from the airport in Paros is 45 EUR. Soma Yoga Institute will help you organize a shared shuttle, when possible, for 15 EUR.
