Kra Buri

Particularly the first leg of your trip, the intention is to provide a genuine Thai cultural experience. It is also assumed that people will share bungalows. If you are coming alone, Sparkly Yoga will match you to share with a suitable person.

Bungalows are simple, charming, and made from wood in the traditional style. Each bungalow can accommodate two people and some of you may be sharing. Some bungalows have two single beds and some have a queen size bed, all with mosquito nets. All basic linen will be provided. Each bungalow also has its own private bathroom, which is mostly outdoors (al fresco!).

No hot water, but the temperature being tropical usually does not bother most. Hot water buckets may be provided if absolutely required. Fans can be provided but no air conditioner. The accommodation here is fairly basic but charming and clean, no luxuries amenity wise, but they are not slumming it either. Keeping it simple is more aligned with Sparkly Yoga's philosophy and makes for a more authentic cultural experience.

Koh Tao

On Koh Tao, however, the resort is a little more upmarket with slightly fancier bungalows and amenities such as hot water showers and even air conditioner for some rooms.

Michele Maselli is the founder of Sparkly Yoga. He has been practicing yoga since 1995, and teaching professionally since 2007. He aims to incorporate all the aspects of yoga in a class and will challenge students physically, educate them anatomically, and inspire them spiritually, always with a sense of lightness, humor, and joy. Being a professional and passionate DJ for longer than he has taught yoga, Mickey also loves incorporating music into his classes, running his very popular Hatha groove workshop where he uses a DJ to lay down sacred beats creating quite a funky class!
