The Lotus Pad is situated in the north of Ibiza, in a finca surrounded by fields and farmland. It offers peaceful environment near a village called San Lorenzo, with great walks around to local cafes, and with beautiful gardens to relax in, should you wish to simply chill out. It is located in a central location and only a short drive to beaches, towns and markets.

The Lotus Pad Ibiza tries to offer alternatives to people who have serious food allergies, and those with less serious food intolerances, you will find that there is plenty of choices.

Exclusions

Lunches are not included in the price. The Lotus Pad Ibiza is sure you will want to travel around to explore the wonderful array of restaurants and cafes on Ibiza. It really can be to suit all tastes. The following are a few restaurants within walking distance, or a short drive of The Lotus Pad.

Balafia

Another great find is around the corner and just off the road. This restaurant makes what is rumored to be the best tomato salad on the island plus a range of other grilled offerings. It is only 30 minutes walk.

Can Carune

Neil refers to this place as the "center of the universe" as it really is a meeting point for many people in the north of Ibiza. More of a short drive towards San Juan here you will find a restaurant which serves an apparently famous paella amongst many other reasonably priced meals, and a supermarket to pick up anything you might need for the day. It is only 10 minutes drive.

Can Guimo

Probably the closest restaurant to the retreat center, only 15 minutes walk. Run by an Argentinian man with the friendliest vibe and some reasonably priced sandwiches, coffee and cakes etc. They will make you very welcome and its an interesting spot to watch the world whizz by on the road in front. Open until around 7 p.m.

Es Pins

A very local family restaurant with a range of meat, fish and local dishes all at reasonable prices. Just up the road. Walking maybe takes 25 minutes.

La Paloma Cafe

This caf / restaurant is in the village of San Lorenzo and has some of the best food around. The sandwiches, coffees and cakes are fabulous and on offer in the day time. The evening meals are a little more formal but still a great range.

Juanitos

A little further down the road, this restaurant has been serving local people for decades and more recently tourists have come from far and wide to sample the rustic atmosphere and food and to take a look at the interesting clientele. Walking takes 30 minutes.

Sabores Naturales

In the village of San Juan, its worth the trip to taste their mostly organic "slow" food. Pizzas, salads and cakes are mostly on the menu, but its worth the drive for their amazing chai. The journey time is 15 minutes by driving.

Book a massage

Immerse in local culture at the nearby village

Relax in beautiful gardens

Take a dip in the beautiful beaches

Visit local cafes, restaurants and markets

An option to book a massage with Jeanette is available at an extra cost.

  • 1 yoga Nidra session with meditation
  • 2 asana based workshops
  • 3 restorative practices, pranayama and meditation
  • 5 vegetarian dinners
  • 6 Vinyasa yoga classes
  • 6 nights accommodation
  • 6 breakfasts
  • Lunches
  • Massages

Arrival by airplane

In the summer months, flights are pretty reasonable to Ibiza. Many airlines offer great bargains if you book early. The easiest way to get here is by plane to Ibiza Airport. Once you are here, you will either be hiring a car to get here or getting a taxi here, and then using local buses, bicycles or your feet to explore the surrounding areas. Whatever way you get here, Lotus Pad Ibiza will send you a direction sheet before you arrive to make it clear for you or your driver. Do not ask for the Lotus Pad as they will not know it, but the directions will get you here easily and safely.

Arrival by ferry

  • You can also get ferries across from Barcelona and Valencia. Arriving at the port of Ibiza at dawn is a stunning way to greet the island.
  • A reservation requires a deposit of 50% of the total price.
  • The deposit is non-refundable, if the booking is cancelled.
  • The rest of the payment should be paid on arrival.

    A relaxing getaway much deserved

CONS Cons: The retreat is located in the countryside of Ibiza, expect the hot water to be scarce and to deal with some bugs here and there. Nothing unexpected when you are visiting the country.

PROS Pros: Wendy was an amazing instructor, she did more for me and my need to re-center myself than I think she intended to! The classes were informative and helped me get into my practice more, as a beginner living in a foreign country I haven't been to classes in a long time. The location was ideal to escape the party scene and enjoy some true relaxation, while also being within walking distance to a bus stop to nearby beaches. The breakfasts were beyond exceptional! Neil is an amazing chef, there was fresh cut fruit everyday, as well as, a heartier dish of eggs or cooked spinach, mushrooms, and avocado. Wendy was very helpful beyond the yoga classes too, providing information on places to see and things to do. I was sad to go in the end.

"I had an incredible stay at the Lotus Pad last August. Wendy is one of the best Yoga teachers I have ever met: she knows how to adapt to the level of each participant in her class, she will adjust your posture if wrong (so rare nowadays!). I especially enjoyed the moon classes, where restorative yoga was practiced. The contact with the other participants was easy, all in a very friendly atmosphere: We quickly arranged to go to the beach and have dinner all together, no one was left aside (unless the person wished to be on his/her own). I warmly recommend the Pad for a retreat or a shorter stay in Ibiza! Many thanks to Wendy and Neil for those fantastic memories! "

"Wendy is an excellent yoga teacher and a very helpful person. She offered different classes every day , so I never got bored. The Lotus Pad has a great location. It's just fifteen minutes from the beach and is on the quieter and more peaceful side of the island. The place is nice, calm and with a lot of space for relaxing. The retreat includes breakfast and dinner and the cook, Neil, was excellent. Best vegetarian food ever! I wholeheartedly recommend Lotus Pad."

"Unfortunately, I believe that Charifa and her friend had different expectations of a yoga retreat in the countryside. They were provided with a tent, all bed linen, a towel, a yoga class and breakfast every day for the cost of £295 for week. Ibiza is an expensive island and this is a really good deal and other guests have often mentioned how reasonable this is. We are in the countryside so of course insects will come into the tent and as she kept food in there this will attract them a lot. We do not have space to store food for guests as our fridge is used to provide breakfast items for all our guests and we are a small place so do not have room for guest food also. Our guests are provided with breakfast but expected to eat out the rest of the time. Charifa and her friend I believe wanted a cheap place to stay so they could go out and party. Our place is quiet and our guests expect that it is a peaceful place without loud music or people disturbing other guests by coming in early hours of the morning. I suggested this to Charifa that perhaps they would prefer a place to party, but was met with a lot of arrogance and she was quite rude to myself and several guests. Had I known that they did not want to do the yoga or even get up for breakfast (her friend rarely joined us), then I would have suggested they find a 5 star hotel to stay in where they can pay this amount per night and get fresh sheets and towels every day and come and go whenever they want. People are entitled to do what they want on holiday. But as the teacher and owner of the retreat it is also up to me to make it a nice experience for everyone. People come here to relax, do yoga and go to the beach and to sleep.Since Charifa did not enjoy the yoga, the tent, or our place or like me then it was very difficult to make this a nice experience for her. I made allowances for her many medical complaints during classes by encouraging her to stop when she needed to. Clearly this was not enough for her and I think perhaps she would rather enjoy a more personalized yoga practice at a higher cost than she paid. As for the yoga being boring, I am pleased to hear nobody else thinks this. At no point did I suggest she could not go to the bathroom in the night. Unfortunately Charifa and her friend had the expectations of an expensive hotel for the cost of a tent on a yoga retreat in the countryside. Ultimately this made her stay difficult and here attitude rude and unfriendly. "

"I hope she find what she wants in other places , but I suggest not a yoga retreat experience."

"I was staying at the Lotus Pad for three days and it was an amazing stay! Looking back I’d might have booked a longer period. Maybe next year. The Lotus Pad has a very good vibe, great location (in a more peaceful surrounding than the south of the island), good yoga, very nice breakfast and there are many options for your stay to see the island. Especially if you rent a car or a scooter. I have had the luck, too meet some likemind beautiful souls to share this experience with. It was like having five sisters. A perfect option for peace & harmony in body, mind and soul. On the road to the Lotus Pad there is a really nice lunchroom called Can Guimo. If you like vegan and smoothies, this is a good one!"

"What a special space The Lotus Pad is. Inspiring yoga has aided me so much with my post-op hip challenges and reminded me of its healing and totally welcoming warmth. Wendy, you are blessed with such unique talent and you combine all yogas elements together so beautifully - meditation and breathwork serving as big a purpose as the asanas. Neil, thank you for such scrummy food - each meal was exactly what I fancied and you have a huge ability to keep dishes simple whilst mixing flavors and colors. Thank you. I look forward to visiting Ibiza again soon and will certainly look into another retreat and most definitely recommend your place to friends. Namaste and shanti."
