My aunt and I had the most wonderfully relaxing stay at The Seventh Seal Retreat. We're both workaholics so the the time out was exactly what we needed. Amanda and Nicole have created the perfect mix of rest, relaxation, pampering, yoga, mindfulness and delicious food - all in a stunning villa. We returned home relaxed, refreshed, and on a new path to a healthier lifestyle. Looking forward to our next retreat!
Seventh Seal Retreat was a great rejuvenating end to year - a top up of energy before Christmas. We did the Eat Pray Live week, crossing over with the Journey to Wellness - enjoying the best of both options - fantastic yoga, meditation, massages and health eating. We learnt to make juices and smoothies and were given tips for a healthy approach to life.We went to some amazing restaurants and had fun shopping. The week was totally flexible, we could do as much or as little as we wanted. Lounging by the infinity pools at Villa Mannao, looking out onto the rice paddies was pure heaven.
Nicole and Amanda were absolutely fantastic hosts and looked after us like we were family. Thanks so much for an amazing week.
As a first timer to 'Retreats' I was hesitant and not sure what to expect but I was pleasantly surprised! Amanda and Nicole are a pleasure to deal with and run a fantastic retreat. There is plenty to do with meditation, yoga, personal training, bike riding, volcano hike, wellness workshops, cooking class, juicing class, massages and the list goes on. Nothing was too much to organise! The beauty is that you can do as much or as little as you like! The accommodation was beautiful, overlooking rice paddies, with two pools, open plan dining and lounge. Each individual room was lovely with a large bathroom and indoor/outdoor showers. I could go on and on, but it is best for you to experience it yourself! I would highly recommend attending The Seventh Seal Retreat. I would definitely attend another retreat in the future!!
Unexpected life experiences had left me emotionally depleted and running on empty - I knew I needed to start taking better care of me.. thus began my journey to wellness ... I had never been to a retreat before and began researching assorted retreats..however while I was initially attracted to the many pretty pictures and itinerary / it was reading so many positive reviews of the other guests who had previously attended which cinched it for me
From the moment I arrived I felt a sense of calm along with an incredible visual delight ... our opulent individual villas jutted around with 2 beautiful pools centred in the middle overlooking workers tending their 'rice fields'.
I was blown away by the delicious wholesome food, juices and smoothies - I never knew vegetarian food could look, taste and be so fulfilling! I was never ever hungry or craving .. I knew learning about ways to improve my nutrition was going to be a key factor to my journey.. I loved the workshops with Amanda. Her comprehensive nutrition knowledge and simple tips on how to incorporate changes in our daily lives was exactly what I needed..
I really enjoyed participating in the daily yoga and meditation and liked how yoga by the different instructors were varied too (change is good!) ...
I enjoyed our day trip to Ubud.. and the cocktails to Seminyak and our amazing seafood BBQ on the last night !!!
So much more I could say ... however what I felt also made the retreat as amazing were the ladies that brought us altogether - thank you to the beautiful Amanda and Nicole (thank you for the many amazing conversations had at dinner and bringing your beautiful babies in on our last day)... the incredible chefs and beautiful staff who always greeted us with a smile - and lastly my fellow guests who shared this experience with me ... feeling very blessed to have met and connected with you all.
Just got back from my second "Journey to Wellness" workshop at the Seventh Seal Retreat in Bali. It was just as enjoyable, educational and relaxing as the last time. The accommodation is lovely and overlooks the rice paddies, which is fascinating to watch the rice paddy workers. The pool is luxurious - lovely and warm ! The staff are kind and attentive and are always there with a helping hand. The food which is mostly vegetarian (at least on our journey to wellness retreat!) is absolutely delicious, plentiful and very diverse and interesting. The yoga teachers are knowledgeable and inspiring. The included massages were a very welcome luxury and we felt thoroughly spoiled. Nic the resort manager was friendly and very efficient. Amanda the owner and our nutrition advisor was as usual, interesting, thought provoking and really cared about our health and wellness. All in all a brilliant and different way to spend a few days in Bali. Thanks team, you were amazing.
