You will be staying at the Sangsurya Retreat. The property features an open, airy meditation hall, a freshwater swimming pool and dining room that includes outdoor seating with beautiful ocean views. Accommodation is in a range of creatively designed, comfortable cabins, each decorated in a unique style. Choose from a small single room, standard single room or shared accommodation. Most rooms have en-suite bathrooms and all are air-conditioned.

Total Balance Womens Yoga and Meditation Retreat in Byron Bay Program

Now in the sixth year, the beautifully relaxing Byron Bay yoga and meditation retreat will give you the chance to unwind, enjoy the peace of nature, feel completely nurtured and begin to discover why living mindfully is essential to your wellbeing. You will share the experience with a small group of like-minded women.

Sample daily schedule

07:00 - Morning meditation

07:30 - Delicious organic breakfast buffet, followed by time to prepare for the day, a swim in the Sangsurya private pool, some reading or journaling or a quiet walk around the property

09:30 - One hour Vinyasa yoga class with Meg followed by a living mindfully workshop with Kate

12:30 - After a delicious organic lunch, time for walking, swimming, writing or sitting on the deck amongst the subtropical rainforest, overlooking the ocean. They will have two massage therapists organized to take your bookings for a relaxing massage

16:30 - Varied (e.g. short yoga, meditation or discussion)

18:30 - Dinner in the beautiful dining room and deck, and a chance to reflect on your day with new friends

19:30 - Evening relaxation to help you sleep peacefully


Sangsurya Retreat, a beautiful ten acres bush retreat just three minutes drive from Byron Bay and its stunning beaches. Set amongst landscaped gardens, palm trees, a myriad of bird and animal life, and walking trails, it is a secluded environment, which we have completely to ourselves. Its difficult to describe the essence of this property - its something you need to experience for yourself but previous participants have described it as magic and many continue to return each year.

Meals are beautiful home-cooked by Total Balances professional caterer Deb. The food is organic and mostly vegetarian. Dietary requirements can be catered for.
