Dr Venkatachalapathy is an authority researcher in Yoga. His education began with completing the following… M.Com.,M.Ed.,D.C.L.,M.Sc(Yog).,M.Phil., Ph.D. He is a guru in the SIVA YOGA tradition of SIDDHA. His speciality as a professor in Yoga is both the educational syllabus of a university and the traditional gurukulam system of education. He presently teaches yoga asanas, Pranayama, Kriyas, Meditations and Yoga philosophy. His speciality is in the practice of Tirumular’s Yoga and the Tirumantiram. He is one of the very few people who can co relate the ancient text to modern science.

He is now in training to be a healer in the Siddha medicinal therapy practice that is, a traditional system of healing very ancient in nature and has its roots in South India and is considered to be one of India's oldest systems of medicine. It is a system of traditional medicine originating in ancient Tamilakam (Tamil Nadu) in South India and Sri Lanka. The Siddha system is based on a combination of ancient medicinal practices and spiritual disciplines as well as alchemy and mysticism.

Balu is a retired professor of Philosophy who served at Annamalai University, Chidambaram for over 29 years and his area of specialisation is ‘Saiva Siddhantha.’ He has published many articles and has delivered lectures at different places in India and abroad. Saiva Siddhantha is a well-established philosophy aiming at human emancipation from the shackles of empirical existence by invoking the grace of Siva. Though the phenomenal world is real, it becomes peripheral to an aspirant who prefers to lead a spiritual life than promoting a materialistic outlook.
