Premium shared ocean view

This beautiful 3-level premium villa is the most luxurious option featuring stunning ocean views, 2 master suites each with private balcony, 2 guest rooms, 4 1/2 bathrooms, a full kitchen, dining room, AC, wifi, private infinity plunge pool and a large outdoor deck used for our group classes and post workout happy hour.

Deluxe private villa

The deluxe private villa is considered laid-back luxury, featuring a terrace with ocean and jungle views, sitting area and hammock, small kitchenette, AC and safe. You will awake to the sounds of tropical birds and enjoy the daily parade of wildlife about the property. Capuchin, titi and congo monkeys often traipse through the adjacent jungle and put on a delightful show for guests. Perfect for a couple or those who gravitate to a quieter experience.


Days on this yoga, fitness, and surf retreat will begin with an optional morning meditation, followed by a vigorous yoga class with one of our favorite instructors, Seattle based Julie Andres. After class you will enjoy a hearty breakfast to prepare for an afternoon of surfing, stand up paddle board, Zip-lining, exploring Manuel Antonio’s National Park or pampering yourself with a relaxing massage followed by a good book poolside or beach front. The late-afternoon fitness class lead by Mike Hardin is a 60-minute functional beach workout which will focus on strength, aerobic conditioning and agility. Evenings can be spent as a group exploring the extraordinary local cuisine or individually for those who gravitate towards a quieter experience.

A typical day with Via Yoga:

  • 11:00 Surf or paddle board lessons/ afternoon activities
  • 16:30 Fitness class
  • 19:30 Group dinner (3 group dinners included in package)

Afternoons activities include surf or stand up paddle board lessons, lounging at the hotels private white-sand beach, zip-lining, exploring the world-renowned national park, enjoying a massage in your villa or simply relaxing poolside with a good book.


Julie Andres
Julie has had a life-long love for the science of yoga. Influenced by Baron Baptiste, Eiric Orvid and Dee Hine, her classes reflect their unique styles of practice and sequencing, focusing on linking movement with the breath.
Mike Hardin
Mike is a Seattle based personal trainer certified through the American College of Sports Medicine. With fifteen years training experience, Mike has developed a highly effective coaching style making him very popular among those interested in improving their overall fitness and reaching specific training goals. His wide-range of expertise includes weight loss, strength training, cardiovascular conditioning, rehab, and sports specific performance training.


Despite being a small country, Costa Rica has the most species of plants and animals per acre than anywhere else in the world. It has more protected land than any other country in the world with approximately 25% of the country being national park or other conservation areas such as wildlife reserves and refuges. Retreats are held in Manuel Antonio, with a National Park that is recognized as one of the most biodiverse parks in Costa Rica and listed in Forbes among the world’s 12 most beautiful national parks.


During the retreat, you will be served daily breakfast and three group dinners.

How to get there

Guests should plan to fly into the San Jose International Airport, also referred to as Juan Santamaria (SJO). Via Yoga provides complimentary airport transfers on the first and last day of the retreat. It is approximately a 2.5-hour drive from airport to the hotel. Guests should try to book flights that arrive and depart between 11:00 and 15:00 when possible. Please note that a 29 USD departure tax is required for all travelers departing Costa Rica and is paid at the airport before you check-in for your departing flight. This can be paid with Colones, USD or credit card.
