Tuna Khatua

Founder of Vyasa Yoga Peeth, Tuna Khatua, is one of the renowned yogis in Rishikesh who have spent their life in this field. A strong believer of Ayurveda and its form, he has been preaching and practicing the same ever since he entered this field.

Swami Nityananda Giri

A child prodigy, Swami Ji was a compassionate soul since his birth. With a Ph D in Cytogenetic, he has been teaching at many pioneer institutes but his love for Kriya yoga to which he was introduced in 1994, led him to deeper aspects of this science. An author of the well proclaimed book, Kriya Yoga - The science of life force, Swami Ji teaches students of Vyasa Yoga Peeth to give initiation to Kriya yoga. Due to his immense busy schedule, it is advised that his presence be confirmed before arriving.

Yogiji Yogendra Mishra

Yogendra Mishra, commonly known as Yogiji, is a very experienced yoga and meditation master. He is mostly teaching in America, Germany, Russia, Japan, and Canada. Yogiji has been a yoga teacher for more than 36 years. He has also taken part in several yoga research projects determining the association of mental-physical well being and yoga.

Swami Omkaranada

Believing in sharing his knowledge and with a view to serve humanity, Acharya Ravindra Singh started his yogic journey. On learning the special techniques of Iyengar yoga and Hatha yoga, he is now one of the finest faculties available at the ashram. On gaining experience under many yogis and learned gurus, he is now teaching at Vyasa Yoga Peeth.

Brahamchari Siddhanta

Practicing the art form for more than a decade and a half, Brahamchari has been attached to the yogic kriyas since long. Departing from family life at a vulnerable age of 16, he has been guided into the field with a self motivated mindset. Joining Anandamurti Gurumaa at the age of 22, he has lived, taught, practiced, and learnt at her ashram for eight years.

Manual Fernandes

Drinking from various ports, Manual Fernandes is not just a Ph D in the field but a Lama too. Living and working at Tibetan Buddhist meditation retreats (Drikung Kagyu order) in Pithoragarh and Almora, Kumaon Himalayas, he has learned spiritual ways like no other. After completing his retreat and learning process, he kept the ball rolling as he started to help them in their next retreat.

Dr. Usha Vaishnava

Dr. Usha completed her Bachelor of Ayurvedic Medicine and Surgery (B.A.M.S.) in 1997, which was internationally recognized. She studied Ayurveda and herbal medicine at the famous 150-year-old Gurukul Kangri in Kanpur (renamed Kanpur University in 1966).

My course was cancelled less than a week before it was due to start without a reason being given upfront other than "a small problem". I was told that my only option was to transfer to another school they had organized, no refund, no other alternative other than "change your flights". The new course dates didn't line up with the original course dates so I ended up missing a week of classes at the end and having to fork out additional expenses to wait around in Nepal for an extra week in the beginning waiting to start lessons. They didn't answer their phones when I tried to call. Their emails were in very basic, poor English which made trying to decipher what was actually going on very difficult. As an additional treat, I commented on a negative FB review for the school and someone from Vyasa Yoga Peeth then added me on Facebook and had a go at me via Facebook messenger. I'm not really sure if they don't care about their business or they are just a scam? One other girl at the new school had also been transferred from Vyasa Yoga Peeth. my assumption being that as they only had two enrollments they decided to pull the plug at the last minute. Not an ideal situation to be dealing with only via internet in Tibet en route to the course.

Training at Vyassa yoga Peeth was an incredible journey for me. It opened up my heart and mind to begin to understand the true meaning of yoga. There is so much more to this spiritual pathway then I could have ever imagined. Every single teacher there was so supportive and inspiring, helping us every single step of the way. We got to experience the local culture, meditate by the Ganges and be immersed into the world of yoga. I would recommend this course to anyone who is thinking about beginning or continuing their own journey. Thank you Vyassa yoga Peeth I will always treasure the time I spent training at your school and I definetley plan to return in the future. Namaste

A great 7 days crafted program for 2 yoga and meditation beginners. We are yoga and meditation beginners and we wanted a 7 days program to improve our practices.

We were eally happy with the full program crafted for us : we had a teacher for pranayama/breathing, a teacher for hatha yoga, a teacher for philosophy and a teacher for meditation.

We enjoyed the teachings of everyone. Every teacher was really dedicated to us and we learnt everything that was possible in a week, so that we could practice and improve back home. The room were fine, cleaned very often and we had AC at night! "Always smiling" Tuna, the manager of the school, was always here to make sure our teachings went well and even welcomed us at his home to enjoy a great meal with the other students and the teachers!

We also had the surprise to visit Vasistha cave and to assist a fire ceremony with a swami and other students. We fully enjoyed each day spent and we would be glad to be back to enjoy the teachings and of course Tuna's smile and humor!

I found the teachers very helpful, the food was good, and the accommodation was awesome. They also offered certificate after I completed the course in two weeks.

In summer time I took yoga training classes at Vyasa Yoga Peeth. The center is in Rishikesh and their teaching was wonderful. I liked the place very much. It is located amid beautiful place on the hills and beside a river. The teachers were really very experienced and very good. They were perfect in teaching and very caring too. They paid attention to every student to make sure the yoga practices were done correctly. I liked their accommodation too. The food was awesome. Herbal tea was really great. The co-learners were helpful too, though no one from my region enrolled in the particular session. However, I met learners from Colorado, Caribbean, Poland and more. Would love to go there again and learn advanced courses.

I have recently completed the 200-hour yoga teacher training in Rishikesh. My overall experience has been a fantastic one that I will never forget. The teachers are all very well educated and knowledgeable in a variety of areas. Each class has been very informative and I feel like I have gained a lot of important and necessary information to start practicing as a beginners yoga teacher. The accommodation was excellent; a private room with a private bathroom is exactly what I needed here in India. All the staff are very friendly and helpful at the hotel and they make you feel welcomed. All meals were provided and were very good. Each day was more or less the same food but if you want to eat out its very easy to find a restaurant close by. I would highly recommend this school and I am looking forward to study with Tuna Khatua again in the future. If you want to have a real yoga and Indian culture experience, this is the school to come to.Thank you for everything, my Indian experience has been wonderful because of all of you at Vyasa Yoga Peeth.

The 200-hour yoga teacher training had been a really good experience. I learnt a lot of different things. It is an interesting course, because they dont teach just practice, they teach you much more. I didnt know anything about the philosophy of yoga and now I think is the most important. The Teachers are great, each of them. They had been our family in those days. I have to do a special mention about Tuna ji - he is now more than a teacher, he is a good friend. He has shown us about Indian culture. We had a really fun time. I am very happy with everything. The food is very good but they did not change the menu frequently .

After 4 weeks doing the 200-hour yoga teacher training I feel so happy because I have had the opportunity to do this course in this magic place, which is Rishikesh. I could meet with wonderful people, lovely classmates and really nice teachers. I have learned a lot of things about yoga. Furthermore, I have had very good experiences outside the school too.

I am so grateful to my special teacher, Tuna ji. He has been more than a teacher, now I can feel that he is a great friend of us.

All the staff has been very helpful in every moment when I needed of them. The food was very good at first, but after one week I started to feel very bored because it was always the same.

In conclusion, it has been a wonderful experience and I recommend it to everyone because I have enjoyed it a lot and I have learnt so many things that are very important for life.
