You will learn essential tools of self-care, you will practice joy and become mindful of when you judge yourself or others.
This retreat takes place at a village chateau in the foothills of the Mediterranean Pyrenees in the very South of France. The house feels like a temple. You will be sharing large, uncluttered rooms and individually styled bathrooms. For those who wish to have a room on their own, Yobaba lounge have a few glamping tents, in large canvas bell tents in the walled garden.

A goddess realizes that love, strength, and connection cannot be felt by someone else, but must rise from within. In order do that, you will learn essential tools of self-care, practice joy, and become mindful of when you judge yourself or others. You will learn how to cleanse the shackles of history from your very DNA. Explore how it feels to be free, bask in the embodiment of your true nature, and sing your soul's song.
You will do yoga and meditation (Embodied meditation) each morning, and you will close the day together with a breathing circle. Gertrud's yoga practice is the yoga of mindful breath and movement. She encourages you to take responsibility for your body and your physical well-being, whilst giving you the tools to explore and expand your edges. All levels are welcome.
In this retreat, you will not only practice yoga and meditate daily, but also explore the region, swim in the lake by a full moon, walk into the clouds, visit a castle or two, and relax in the garden. You will also be a part of cooking workshops and prepare meals together. You will be learning about the most favorite retreat recipes, the principles behind plant-based and raw cooking so that you will be creating your own recipes in no time at all.
This retreat also includes following a 16:8 meal plan. You will eat all your food during an eight-hour period each day. Intermittent fasting like that has been shown to have huge health benefits. There will be detox sessions for your skin and hair with Gertrud's face masks, unguents, and a no-shampoo regime, should you choose to. You will also explore how delicious a little silence can be, from rising until 10:00 a.m. each day.
The mindfulness practice of Embodied meditation was formalized by Gertrud Keazor by drawing on her background in sports and her interest in the nature of reality. Embodied meditation is the yoga of breath, movement, and mindfulness, and is grounded in the wisdom sciences of classical non-dual Shaivinist Tantra.
Moving purposely in rhythm with your breath without excessive effort, you gently relax into simple yoga postures. You will use deep diaphragmatic breathing, visualizations, and sound to bring focus and somatic awareness to your physical body and your metaphysical inner space.
In the modern world, you are surrounded by sound, by activity, by verbal sound, and by mental sound (such as social media). It is enough for most of you to exist in a permanent state of contraction, energetic as well as physical. Your boy has become tense and your mind becomes anxious.
It pays to slow down, to be quiet, and to investigate. When you practice silence, you practice bringing awareness to your inner voice, to what makes you speak, and to the state of your body when you speak. When you get back into touch with your inner voice, you start to feel calm, slow down, and you naturally feel more vibrant and become truly yourself. This is the definition of improved mental and physical health, and why silence is practiced in almost all monastic traditions. Practicing silence, in order to investigate your true nature, is not only a wonderful tool for self-care, but it is also an essential practice that has the power to change the world.
This retreat includes excursions to nearby castles along with lakes and rivers with rock pools.
Gertrud is a retired international athlete, a qualified massage therapist, and a Reiki practitioner. She teaches the ancient wisdom traditional use of ujjayi breath, mindful movement, and visualizations to reach a deep state of meditation and awareness of inner space. She will use common yoga postures as part of this practice. Gertrud does not have any formal yoga teacher qualifications but she has studied different approaches to meditation and mindfulness and has changed her life through the comprehensive healing practice, which she shares on the retreats.
The retreat will take place in Chalabre. Chalabre is a sleepy medieval village in the foothills of the Mediterranean Pyrenees in the very South of France. The house is a village chateau, hip, stylish, and a little worn around the edges. There is a walled garden, gorgeous walks, and the village is on your doorstep.
This retreat includes sensational vegan food, much of it is raw, and all of it is free from processed sugar, dairy, meat, and wheat. You will prepare meals together and also learn how to prepare all of the most popular retreat recipes. Gertrud will be sharing her little secrets and you will be creating your own recipes in no time at all.
