An opportunity to discover how mindfulness can help you relax, deal with todays stresses and anxieties and improve your creativity. This peaceful and secluded villa has 8 beautiful bedroom which offers the choice of sea or countryside views.

This retreat takes place in a beautiful villa with pool in two hectares of land in the peaceful countryside above the Algarve, close enough to have sea views but far from the tourist trail. Treat your body to yoga morning and evening along with fresh juices and freshly prepared vegetarian food to restore renew and revive you.

Practicing Mindfulness daily won't change your life but it will change your attitude to your life and that will change your life. Stress and anxiety will melt away to be replaced with calm, stillness and peace.

All this with plenty of time to relax by the pool, visit the beach and surrounding area and to make new friends and enjoy their company. You will leave refreshed and with a plan in place to continue this new lifestyle on your return.

Day 1 - Sunday

  • 12:00 Check in is from 12:00 but if you need to arrive earlier just let us know. Time to unpack and familiarize yourself with your surroundings.
  • 17:30 Yoga and mindfulness
  • 19:30 Welcome meeting. Be introduced to the other guests joining you on your break and get taken through the schedule to give you an idea of what to expect each day.
  • 20:00 Dinner. Enjoy your evening meal on the communal table on the terrace by the pool. Enjoy veggie food to detox your digestive system. We design our menus to provide you with optimum energy and nutrition. Fancy a glass of red wine? Go ahead. It´s full of antioxidants!

Day 2, 4, and 6

  • 07:30 Early morning meditation
  • 08:00 Join Helga for your first yoga session on the roof terrace as the sun rises. Bring your own yoga mat if you can but if not don’t worry we will have some to borrow.
  • 09:30 Breakfast. Fresh juices, fresh fruit, yogurt, cereals hot rolls and toast and scrambled eggs. English and herbal teas and coffee available.
  • 10.30 Mindfulness. Learn to practice Mindfulness with Maggie through a series of exercises, meditations and enquiry and find a way to deal with stresses and anxieties and to enjoy your life more
  • 11.30 Chill time. Relax by the pool or on one of the shady terraces.
  • 14:00 Lunch break.
  • 15:00 Free time. Chill out on one of the many terraces, dive in the pool or have a treatment.
  • 17:30 Yoga and Mindfulness. Early evening yoga practice on the back terrace followed by Mindfulness practice.
  • 20:00 Dinner

Day 3 and 5

  • 07:30 Early morning meditation
  • 08:00 Yoga with Helga on the roof terrace
  • 09:30 Breakfast with fresh juices.
  • 10:30 Mindfulness with Maggie.
  • 11:30 Free Time. Take a trip to the beach at Manta Rota, visit the nearby towns of Villa Real or Tavira, or just relax by the pool with a good book.
  • 17.30 Early evening Yoga and Mindfulness on the back terrace.
  • 20.00 Dinner

Dinner at the villa will be served on day one, three, four, and six with trips out to local beaches and towns. Lunch on day two and five will be served at the villa with dinner out at local restaurants.

  • Maggie

    Maggie is a qualified mindfulness teacher and has been running Mindfulness and Yoga Holidays for four years in Portugal, India, and next year also Ireland. She teaches mindfulness for stress reduction, mindfulness for well-being, and mindfulness for creativity as well as the art of breathing.

  • Helga

    500-hour Teacher Training Diploma Course, 2009 to 2012 British Wheel of Yoga (Yoga)

    During her university training as a doctor, Helga found yoga was essential, so she started with a studio practice of Swasthya yoga in her home city of Lisbon, Portugal. After moving to the UK with her English partner and becoming a mum, Helga decided on a career change - leaving medicine behind, she started a three-year, 500-hour Teacher Training Diploma Course with the British Wheel of Yoga from 2009 to 2012. Teaching since the beginning of her course, Helga fuses her lifelong yogic experience and love for this discipline with a diversity of yoga styles into a rich, fun and personalised mix.

The villa is located in the Eastern Algarve, nearest to Spain and is set in 2 hectares of grounds

During your stay, you will be served vegetarian food. All the meals will be freshly prepared and sourced locally. Special diets can be accommodated. Please inform Yoga and Mindfulness Holidays about your food preferences.

Dinner at the villa will be served on days 1, 3, 4, and 6 with trips out to local beaches and towns. Lunch on days 2 and 5 will be served at the villa with dinner out at local restaurants.

Trips can be arranged such as trips to nearby beaches, local towns of Tavira, have meals out at local restaurants, and tour to Villa Real and Ayamonte, Spain. You can also pay a visit to local salt baths.

Arrival by airplane

Please book your flight to arrive at Faro Airport (FAO). Pick-up from the airport is not included in the price. The nearest town to the villa is Villa Nova de Cacela. Transport can be arranged from there or from the airport at additional cost.

  • The deposit is fully refundable if the booking is cancelled up to 42 days before the arrival date.
  • The rest of the payment should be paid 42 days before arrival.
