Yoga Essence's venue has a garden and is surrounded from all sides by many huge lush green trees with beautiful Himalayan mountain view. Each room features an en-suite bathroom with western toilet and shower with hot/cold water, and AC.


In this course, you will experience and be trained in many different meditation techniques and exercises that have been developed or recommended by yogis, Shiva, Buddha, contemporary masters like Gurdjieff, Osho, Sufi Mystics and others along with self-growth techniques and more specific life training topics, such as:

  • From stress to meditative lifestyle.
  • From medication to meditation.
  • From conflict to the essence of yoga.
  • From isolation to love and relationship.
  • From meaninglessness to intelligence and creativity.

Some of the techniques and exercises are more active, others more passive. Some are done with a partner, some alone, some are as a group. Some techniques use the senses (sight, sound, and touch) and all will help you to connect with your inner world.

Meditation Practices on “CHAKRAS & KUNDALINI”

Advanced meditation practice becomes easier and effective when we work deeply on energy body i.e. Pranamaya Kosha. Kundalini, Chakras and Nadis are the prime and most essential components of the energy body (Pranamaya Kosha). For the inner journey, the study of energy anatomy and their effect on physical, mental, and spiritual levels along with meditation practices are needed to understand and experience the chakra system, Kundalini and Nadis. This meditation teacher training program includes many meditation practices on chakra and kundalini to balance, unblock, re-align and activate them. These meditation techniques based on sound, breathing, guided instructions, visualization and mantras that intensify the awareness and awakening of the different chakras and kundalini.

Meditation Practices from “VIGYAN BHAIRAV TANTRA”

This course also covers some of the powerful meditation techniques on breathing, listening, looking etc. from “VIGYAN BHAIRAV TANTRA”; the most ancient text on meditation containing 112 meditation techniques given by Lord Shiva. The word “Vigyana” means ‘consciousness’, “Bhairava” means ‘the state which is beyond consciousness’, and “Tantra” means ‘the method’. Hence Vigyan Bhairav Tantra means the method of going beyond consciousness. VIGYAN BHAIRAV TANTRA is all inclusive and first practical manual in the world of meditation and also called as encyclopedia of meditation techniques. It starts with Devi's questions and the techniques are the outcome of the response to the questions by Shiva. It is said that it is impossible for anybody not to find a technique suitable to his own level of spiritual development and inner temperament out of 112 techniques of Vigyan Bhairav Tantra.

Silent days during the retreat

In the middle of the retreat the participants will undergo into three days of silence to deepen the experiential and transformational aspect of the retreat where the participants cannot communicate with the outside world including phone call or texts, social media, emails and so on.

The silent days are for personal growth and inner journey hence we require sincerity on it. But it is not mandatory to go into silence.

Certified Yoga Nidra Teacher Training Course (Level 1)

In the third week of 200 hours Mediation Teacher Training, the students will get an opportunity to join the Yoga Nidra Training Sessions of Yoga Essence Rishikesh Yoga Nidra Teacher Training Course (level 1). Hence after completion of 200 hours Meditation TTC, the students will also receive Certificate of “Yoga Nidra Teacher Training Course (Level 1)” in addition to the Certificate of “200 Hours Meditation Teacher Training Course”.

How to teach meditation?

After two full intense weeks of experiential and transformational practice, the last week will be totally dedicated for teaching practicum, yoga Nidra training classes, self-practice under the guidance of the teacher, one-to-one counseling sessions, specific guidance for personal inner journey and question/answer sessions. This approach is because Yoga Essence believes that meditation is not like many other technical skills but needs to be felt and lived before to be shared and transmitted to others so the teaching practicum will come on the last part of the course. Although during all length of it, the students will already have sufficient knowledge about meditation practices and their application.

Yoga Essence Rishikesh is an affiliated school of Yoga Alliance (RYS) and they are also Continuing Education Provider (YACEP). At the end of the training, you will get completion certificate of 200 Hours Meditation Teacher Training Course and Yoga Nidra Teacher Training (Level 1). You can use this training hour as a valid Continuing Education Training hours with your Yoga Teacher Training course or other courses. Yoga Essence Rishikesh follow the basic principles and ethics of teaching standard of Yoga Alliance to make the courses more professional and experiential.

Swami Dhyan Samarth is an experienced yoga and meditation teacher having many years of practice and teaching experience. He integrates yoga and meditation with a contemporary scientific approach and core insights from various spiritual paths into his teaching. His teaching mainly focuses on the experiential aspect of yoga and transformation of life. Samarth helps his students to get the knack of yoga and encourage them to explore and experience the whole spectrum of yoga along with its implementation into everyday life.

Francesca is a registered Ashtanga Vinyasa yoga teacher (RYT 500), constantly practicing and studying yoga and meditation. She loves the physical aspect of yoga but she believes you have to go beyond it to find stillness and awareness not only on the mat but in the whole life journey. With a working sports background and specialization in Shiatsu, Francesca has been full-time alternative health care practitioner for many years before totally dedicate herself to yoga. Merging the power of the Ashtanga Vinyasa style with the precision of the Iyengar alignments and the awareness of breath, she creates a perfect fusion of body, mind, and spirit in her classes.

Amritesh is a uniquely inspiring and experienced yoga teacher. His teaching mainly focuses on the connection of body-breath-mind and the subtle effects of yoga on them. Arrival by airplane

Please book your flight to arrive at Indira Gandhi International Airport (DEL). From there, you can book a domestic flight to arrive at Dehradun Airport (DED). Transfer from and to this airport is available upon request.

Alternatively, upon arrival at Indira Gandhi International Airport (DEL) or Dehradun Airport (DED), you can hire a taxi. Rishikesh is a six-hour drive away from the Indira Gandhi International Airport (DEL). Known taxi is available on request.

Arrival by bus

You can also opt for Volvo service from Delhi, however, traveling by bus could cause inconvenience for the first time travelers.

Arrival by train

You can take a train to Haridwar from New Delhi Railway Station. From Haridwar, there are many transport facilities available to reach Rishikesh. Transfer from and to this train station is available upon request.
