Yoga Holiday Paradiso at La Rejana is a truly rejuvenating holiday. This is a family run, tranquil yoga retreat in the beautiful countryside of Southern Spain. The retreat is situated among olive and almond trees with panoramic sea and mountains views. The resident teacher Mirka, registed Yoga Alliance (RYT 500) makes sure that her classes are suitable for all levels of experience including complete beginners. There will be 2 daily yoga classes. The morning classes will include balancing, invigorating and energizing postures, whilst in the evening emphasis will be on Restorative yoga and Mindfulness Meditation. Three organic vegetarian meals served in the patio daily.
La Rejana center has three bedrooms with a spacious and light sitting room adjacent to it. There is also separate accommodation, La Casita, in the grounds of La Rejana.

Mirka and Michael give a very warm welcome to their guests. Their combination of outstanding hospitality and excellent yoga makes this a unique holiday experience. Each retreat has a maximum of 8 students giving you the advantage of plenty of attention from the resident teacher.
Mirka has practiced yoga for 26 years and taught for over 10 years has become an experienced and dedicated teacher who will teach and encourage you to develop a Mindful way of yoga practice. Care and attention to detail is also paramount in Michael's culinary expertise. Delicious vegetarian meals are prepared with great care using mostly organic ingredients and served in the garden patio, with spectacular mountain views.
Yoga classes are planned in order to energize and restore. Morning yoga sessions focus on improving strength, vitality and circulation throughout the body. In the evening classes Restorative yoga and Mindfulness Meditation will be introduced. The practice increases mental clarity, self-awareness and deeper integration of body, breath and mind.
During the 7 day holidays there are a total of 12 yoga classes; two yoga classes on Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday, and a morning class on Saturday. On Thursday there will be a morning class but no evening yoga class so that after breakfast you can have time to explore the area or have a treatment of your choice.

She started her love affair with yoga in 1990 at the Iyengar Institute at Maida Vale in London. Mirka studied under well-known and established teachers. Over the years Mirka has developed her own unique style of teaching deeply rooted in her Iyengar training supported by knowledge of Patanjali Ashtanga, Ayurveda and Mindfulness Meditation. Mirka is a dedicated yoga practitioner. Mirka is a registered (RYT 500) teacher with Yoga Alliance UK. This accreditation demonstrates excellent standards as set by Yoga Alliance UK.
La Rejana yoga retreat is situated east of Malaga, between Torrox and Frigiliana on the south coast of Spain. It is approximately 20 minutes by car to Frigiliana and Nerja and 15 minutes by car to Torrox. La Rejana yoga retreat is a small, family run center in southern Spain.
Located in a charming, private old cortijo between the ancient towns of Frigiliana and Torrox, famous for having the "best climate in Europe". La Rejana overlooks the mountains of Sierra Almijara and the Mediterranean Sea. These beautiful, tranquil surroundings provide the perfect setting for yoga practice, relaxation and the exploration of nature.

At La Rejana great care is taken with the food that is offered. Their long-standing interest in nutrition and wellbeing makes them very selective in the choice of products used. They only use seasonal, ecological (organic) fruits and vegetables and fresh eggs which come from the local Maharishi Centre or other reliable sources.
The grains and pulses used to prepare lots of Ayurvedic dishes are also ecological and sourced from the Maharishi Centre or local health food shops. Michael is very passionate about his cooking and he takes great pleasure in the preparation of his dishes. His menu is carefully designed to give a varied and balanced diet.
The stunning caves of Nerja are the 3rd most visited monument in the whole of Spain. The caves are a series of caverns containing stalagmites and stalagtites which were formed over millions of years.
There are stables nearby where we can arrange riding for you to enjoy the stunning scenery on horseback.
In nearby Torrox and Nerja you will find beaches and shops. Nerja is a seaside resort of sandy coves sheltered by the Sierra de Almijara Mountains and often referred to as 'The Jewel of the Costa del Sol'. Torrox is famous for having the 'best climate in Europe'. Torrox and Nerja are approximately 20 minutes away by car.
The old Moorish part of Frigiliana is one of the best preserved Moorish villages in all of Andalucia. It is made up of picturesque narrow, winding streets, with decorative cobbled lanes. Frigiliana is approximately 20 minutes away by car. From Frigiliana you can walk in the gorge which is part of the National Park. Frigiliana is approximately 20 minutes away by car.
There are wonderful, long tracks immediately surrounding La Rejana Centre waiting to be explored. You can walk for hours on these quiet paths among avocado, almond and olive plantations surrounded by breath-taking views of the mountains.
You may take a jeep tour in the nature reserve Sierra de Tejeda and Almijara, or hire a mountain bike to discover the region of Nerja and Frigiliana. These activities are arranged by the local company, www.sedikisandalusie.com.
Arrive at Malaga Airport. From Malaga airport you can take a bus to Malaga bus station and from there to Torrox, the organizer will meet you.
Buses to Torrox are every hour and cost approximately 5 EUR.
