If you are new to Reiki and are curious about energy and its healing powers, or maybe you are a Reiki practitioner and want to get further certified, this experience is perfect for you and it is available for 27 souls.

This special certification course includes understanding your body's energy. You will learn all about Reiki including the history of it. You will be introduced to the Reiki symbols and engage in an energy art project using a world’s phenomena, Hilo trees, that are special trees on the island that walk.

In the second part of the certification course, you will understand how to use Reiki and the symbols by connecting with your body's energy so deeply that you will not only understand the seven chakra system, but you will be able to literally feel and draw energy from your body. From here, you will be able to give yourself the Reiki medicine exactly where your body needs it. You will be able to complete the second half of this course on the famous lava black sand beach, along with the dolphins and turtles. You will get attuned as the sun is up the last hour on the island.

In this second certification course, you will learn how to feel your energy and read the energy of others while protecting yours. You will get attuned to two more symbols, practice Reiki on each other, understand the business and ethics of Reiki, and engage in a special energy project, use macadamia nuts picked from the trees.

You will connect with lava, symbolically honoring the energies that you have turned to ash, that no longer serve you, as you spend the day giving and receiving Reiki on the famous black sand beach again. You will give and receive Reiki using lava, black sand, and the sun to empower the fire elements to transmute negative energy. You will then turn to the water element and animals to honor flow. You will learn to use water as a healing element, engaging in sessions using the Pacific ocean and the spirit animals of the ocean to give Reiki cleanse and clear emotions.

For the remaining five days, the focal point of the trip will be connecting you deeper to yourself and your intuitive abilities, for this is truly what provides a far deeper and more powerful Reiki session. You will learn how to open your mind and trust to receive messages from the spirit, connect, and talk to your angels and guides when connecting with your body's energy.

You will refine your abilities and expand your third eye even more. You will do this using the power of the energies of the island and the special places you will visit. Just being in these spaces will further awaken the power within you, but on these special trips you will give Reiki to yourself and others and be re-attuned.

On a very special night, you can look forward to giving and receiving Reiki at the volcano. You will hike and connect with the energy of Pele, the fire goddess, and Hawaii's plants, in lava tubes and in front of the active volcano, get natural steam baths at the volcano's steam chambers. You will enjoy a picnic style dinner in front of the volcano and then stay past sunset to see the volcano's bright red glow. Shawna, your instructor, will share stories of Pele and other Hawaiian gods and goddesses.

You will stop at 9000 feet to eat a picnic dinner and explore the area. Then, you will make your way up to the top to get attuned, receive Reiki, and watch the sunset. You can only stay up there for about 20 minutes. You will make your way back down to nine thousand feet for the clearest star gazing show in the world, as you will see planets, constellations, and so many parts of the universe that you cannot see from the mainland with your naked eye and a telescope. Here you can give and receive more Reiki to each other under this unforgettable starry sky.

You will review Reiki's history and get reattuned at the exact location where madame Takata, the woman responsible for bringing Reiki to the United States, gave Reiki healings and attuned masters, who then brought Reiki to the mainland. Get ready to feel connected in a deeper way.

"In a world full of spiritual healers and teachers — Shawna is the real deal. Shawna has been the catalyst for life-changing transformation in my life. I’ve taken both the Reiki Level I and Level II Certification classes and I highly recommend Level I to everyone — even if you don’t want to be a professional Reiki healer. Her Level I class will teach you how to tap into your intuition and how to maintain a balanced energy body. Once I took this class, I was given divine guidance which helped me to aligned action instead of jumping into action with every idea that popped into my head. The steps that I’ve taken in my life now are more deliberate now and do not come from a place of fear. I love that once you take a class from her, you’re part of her community. She is constantly holding events and teaching classes to help further your spiritual connection. I’ve met some amazing friends that are on the similar paths and I love being part of the Yoga with Shawna community. So much love and gratitude for you Shawna!"

"I left a reiki rock with the boy I'm treating at Radys children's hospital. I gave him a rock and a feather to ground him to heal and fly him home soon. I also left him the sea urchin leg, to help him steady his walk which is wobbly since his accident. He loves when I bring him things. Thanks for giving me the tools to better treat him. I did not, however, use Reiki on him directly, since I haven't done level 2, and respect the tradition and training protocols. But Reiki is flowing out of me wherever I go. I can't stop that. I doused the 4th floor of the hospital with it by walking through with internal intention and mantra, "I bring healing energy wherever I go, and spread it to all beings on this floor as I walk". Lots of healing needed at a children's hospital. My 'treatment' with the boy was to tell him what the things I gave him symbolized (grounding, flying, walking) and then just leave the rock, feather, and urchin leg. I helped him eat, we did a meditation together about uncertainty, and that was it. I love that I met you Shawna."

Shawna is down to earth, relatable and does not posses that I'm to spiritual for you vibe. Her Vinyasa flows are completely invigorating with a acute attention to the breath. Her Hatha classes root you in the present moment as she guides you through breathwork with the singing bowls and tribal sounds filling the room. She is also a Reiki Master and Intuitive Healer.I feel blessed that she in playing a role in my journey because she is one of the most kindhearted souls I have ever known, If you are seeking to remember and find your truth then Shawna is one of the Best teachers in San Diego to give you the tools to do just that. "I highly recommend Yoga With Shawna to those seeking a yoga teacher training! I flew from NJ to Cali for her training, and it was so worth it! I expressed my concern for little yoga knowledge and little flexibility and Shawna very quickly helped me realize that this did not matter and that there was so much more to yoga than just poses. Shawna is super knowledgable, makes her students feel comfortable and confident. She trains with so much passion and love. Her style focuses on working on yourself-based on chakras and 8 limbs and not just learning poses. She teaches you to look inward, teach from your own heart. Her teacher training made me feel like I have a brand new outlook to life..I went there seeking pain relief and stress relief due to personal issues, and I left with so much more than that. Her teaching style allows you and encourages you to apply framework of yoga to your every day life. Every day she introduced us to limitless ways one can have a career in yoga. She knows how to balance being patient with students yet also ripping the bandaid off and encouraging confidence. Shawna included use of oracle cards, crystal sound bowls, foods or drinks that would help balance chakras, essential oils and more! She is very inspirational and genuinely cares for her students. I am looking forward to my new career path in yoga with my nursing background and aspire to be a yoga teacher like Shawna. Inside and outside of the classroom/studio etc. I am forever grateful she gives this back to others in the way that she does. Highly highly recommend!"

"Yoga with Shawna is unlike anything you will ever experience. I was not really into yoga because a lot of people just do it for the exercise and I really wanted to learn through more of a spiritual know connecting mind body and spirit...and this is exactly what she does! My fiance and I met Shawna a few years ago and since she has just skyrocketed in the yoga business taking yoga and this spiritual experience to a whole other level of reality. Affordable and fun teacher training, trips to Mexico, free yoga on the beach, donation based yoga, GLOWga and so much more. Shawna is an inspiration and a very moving person. She really makes yoga easy and fun for anyone regardless of gender or age."

"I took Shawna's SUP teacher training course in May 2015. It was a great experience. I loved the small class atmosphere where we were able to learn from each other as well as Shawna was able to give each of us individual attention. While in San Diego, I also took one of her beach yoga classes. I've been practicing yoga for more than 15 years and teaching more than 6 years. The yoga on the beach was truly an experience, super fun and definitely worth my time. I recommend Yoga with Shawna for any continuing education units or yoga classes."

"Shawna!!! They just called me. Our baby does not have DS just like you said. Thank you so much for putting mine and my family's mind at ease during this time. I am so thankful to have you in my life. I wanted to let you know how profoundly you changed my outlook and gave me hope during this process after our healing. I have such a deep connection with angels I didn't know even existed. It meant so much to me-I can't thank you enough. You are amazing!"

"I attended my first class today with Shawna, and it was great! The class was small and right on the beach. It was such a gorgeous day, so it makes perfect sense to take advantage of our usually awesome weather and hold classes outside in the sand with the sound of the ocean and the cool breeze."

"The class I attended was all-levels and was more restorative which is a great way to start a Sunday. Shawna gave clear cues and was easy-going. She also gave a great intention for class, so it was nice to have something more than just asanas."

"Classes are everyday, I believe, and they are always free with no obligation to donate. If you do want to donate, the donations go to a great cause; they help fund yoga-teachers-in-training in their programs. "

"Overall, a great location, teacher, and cause. Check it out if you can!"

"I can't say enough about how much i love Shawna and what an amazing teacher, healer, friend, and huge source of inspiration she is to me. Shawna and I did our first yoga teacher training together years ago...I wasn't to sure about this crass Jersey girl at first, whose down dog was far from perfect. But as i got to see her progress along her journey, the transformation has been, and still is astonishing. She's never been afraid to be vulnerable, always a teacher at heart (and former English teacher), yet a constantly evolving student. She was okay with being herself and has always stayed true to herself and followed her heart, which ultimately led her to teaching yoga. In the beginning of our training she had no intention of becoming a yoga teacher, and everyone around her reinforced this idea, but her heart disagreed and she was the one (out of our whole group) that made yoga her full time career, and has had amazing success. I've held onto the belief that i could never make teaching yoga a full time job, unless i want to be poor. Shawna has been the only person close to me that has had huge financial success and success in every area of her life due to her hard work, business ethics, unconditional love, hope for humanity, and her desire to help other heal. i idolize her life- she lives in a gorgeous beach front condo with the cutest dogs ever and gets to do what she loves AS HER JOB and is constant;y creating and allowing her ideas to blossom and flourish. She single handily created Chakra Camp, and a one of a kind teacher training, she has written books, she travels international teaching others, and the list goes on. I'm currently enrolled in her first Advanced Reiki Master program and it is one of the best things I've ever done, it is so unique and so rich with such great knowledge and has brought my Reiki to a level I never thought was even possible. It has challenged me and opened my eyes to new ideas, and brought my fears and weakness to the surface so i could release them and replace them with love and strength. I've had my own trials and tribulations through my life and Shanwa has been there for me good and bad, never judging, or criticizing, but through her ability to be honest and bring things to my attention in a loving way with empowerment and suggestion I have grown and learned lessons vital to my progression in life. For me she provides daily inspiration, and she is surely one of my idols. Taking a training with her will not only change the way you think about yoga it will transform your entire life. She is undoubtedly a gift to this world and we are so lucky to have this East coast gal in sunny San Diego. I LOVE YOU SHAWNA!"

"took my Yoga Teacher Training with Shawna Schenk in May of 2015. It was a wonderful experience... I met some amazing people and learned a lot about myself and yoga both on and off the map! I recently moved to San Diego from Canada and have always wanted to take a yoga teacher training but the timing never seemed right...I learned about the training at the free beach classes on Mission Beach and connected with Shawna. I attended her class at Tripower yoga in OB and she immediately had me convinced that this was the time! Learning about so many cool things while sitting on the sand is an experience that cannot be passed up! The training involves hiking , snorkeling with seals, organic farming and so much more! Shawna remains supportive of my career as a teacher and I am grateful for her presence in my life!"

"The classes at Tripower Yoga have been a wonderful find for anyone who is considering yoga! When I joined in February, I couldn't touch my toes and I had to use a workout mat instead of a yoga mat because I needed the cushioning! Four months later, I've ditched the workout mat, practically cured my osteoarthritis, and I not only can touch my toes, but I've lost a lot of weight, while gaining strength, endurance, and peace of mind! I didn't think I could do it, but Melanie and Shawna encouraged me and welcomed me from day One! They also have amazing monthly opportunities like Acupuncture and Yoga and Meditation classes. So thrilled they are in my neighborhood, but even if they weren't, they would be worth the drive!"

"There's special event yoga for extra excitement and festivities! that Shawna created! I went to her Full Moon Glow Dance Yoga last night where we did yoga in a black light room. We all got to wear glow stick jewelry! There was a live DJ too, who was playing trance music. After the yoga we danced around freely, waved our glow sticks all around, and the energy was so good. It was so great to have so much laughter. The class was also filled with positive intentions and messages that we shared with each other. Best teacher and best experience. I'll never forget it!"

"Shawna teaches you to live the 8 limbs of yoga out in the world, not just in a studio. She incorporates being in nature while teaching and using all of your senses. Being very mindful of what you put in your body, thoughts you think in your mind, emotions that you feel in your gut and heart. This is one of the best trainings I've ever experienced."

Her training is unique (snorkeling with seals to learn breathing, hiking, organic farms, farmers markets, learning 'theory' on the sand while sunsets on the ocean, aerial yoga, standup paddle board yoga, sound healing bowls....and much more). We all became better people by spending this time with Shawna Schenk! Highly recommended especially if you live out of state... Check out when Shawna is doing an intensive training!"

"Training with Shawna has allowed me to take yoga to a new level. This training has helped me deepen my practice both physically and spiritually. I would 100% recommend this training with Shawna to anyone. You do not have to an advanced asana practice to be able to participate in this training, it is open to anyone who is looking to deepen their practice in anyway!"
