You will be accommodated at the Villa Annika in Slatine, Croatia. The villa consists of five apartments and two large balconies with sea or mountain views. It has a seating and dining area, a fully equipped kitchen, private parking, free Wi-Fi, and a big garden that offers a wide variety of vegetables, fruits, and spices that you are welcome to pick at any time. You can choose to stay in a private single room or a shared double room. The bathroom is shared.


The focus of this retreat is to provide you with the necessary tools for attaining a more inspiring and balanced life while at the same time connecting with nature and spending some quality time with yourself and with the people around you. Load on vitality and allow the delicious local food to nurture your body. Let the tremendous beauty of the Adriatic coast revive your soul in this fascinating cultural immersion.

The highly experienced yoga instructor will reliably lead you toward achieving your goals, professionally, carefully, and above all, safely while at the same time dynamically, vibrantly, and with a great sense of humor. Do not worry if you are a beginner and have no prior yoga experience, the program is entirely adapted to your abilities. And if you are an advanced or a long-time practitioner, you can be assured that you will pick up something new.

Indulge in a number of yoga relaxation techniques tailored specifically for you. Every morning, you will enjoy a silent walk or seated meditation before joining Samasthiti yoga in front of the beautiful ocean. You will enjoy soft movements and Yin yoga in the afternoon. Every detail is professionally arranged for you to balance and rest. The intention is to pause from the outside stress and equalize the space of your body and spirit. The yoga classes will be held in English or Swedish.

Samasthiti yoga

Samasthiti yoga is a fusion of asana, meditation, Qigong, Reiki, mantra, mudra, pranayama, chanting, and other essential rituals. Different asanas (positions) and meditation are performed on a yoga mat. Samasthiti means “equal standing”. Equilibrium is first based on the yoga sutras, Yamas, and Niyamas.

Samasthiti yoga is for everyone and it provides an opening to observe and stand in a balanced stillness. The focus is the art of aligning all the poses from Samasthiti, working on external physical alignment to create a more subtle internal alignment. With the present moment as a guide, the aim is to create physical, mental, and spiritual balance.

Its intention is to align the spine and the body in relation to the earth and the sky and the aim is to strengthen the body, create more softness around joints, and in the mind. Samasthiti yoga is created to give you a solid and healthy body. The classes are designed around a series with room for variation. The theme for a class changes weekly and a class is always unique.

The asanas (poses) are emphasized on stretch and twist to promote body alignment and to dissolve tension in the fascia (connective tissue), but also to strengthen the core, the spine, and the major joints. Vinyasa (flow) synchronizes breath with movement to create internal heat and balance. It is a door into presence, a tool for cultivating the awareness that will help you enter into your inner essence which is an endless process and exploration of inner peace.

During this retreat, you will be staying at the Villa Annika in Slatine, Ciovo Island, Croatia. The house is located about 100 meters from the sea and is situated in a nature reserve with beautiful hiking paths. It is beautifully situated among olive groves, walnut, and fig trees.


Slatine is a small fishing village right by the sea, just a half hour boat ride from the beautiful town of Trogir. The village is surrounded by magnificent nature and turquoise sparkling sea. The beautiful nature invites you to the quiet shade of a tree or enjoying the sun's warm rays. A good way to calm the mind, reduce stress, and possible imbalances.

You will enjoy daily brunch and dinner during this retreat. You will also enjoy snacks, fruits, or herbal tea. The food is vegetarian, vegan, or raw. YogaBrus uses a lot of locally grown seasonal fruit, vegetables, spices, and herbs, as well as locally produced olive oil, cheeses, and other goodies.

YogaBrus has a big garden with vegetables, spices, olives, legumes, fruits, walnuts, potatoes, and other things they do not have are being bought in the local green market in Trogir and Split. It is possible to be in the kitchen, both for the community industry, but also to learn Croatian cuisine. There is a chance for honey tasting and lecture on its healing properties.
