Join Yogascapes in this exciting yoga retreat to Canada! This weekend retreat is handcrafted to combine yoga, Ayurvedic wellness, and incredible food in an off-the-beaten-path destination amidst natural Canadian beauty. The retreat theme is “Remedy of Ritual” in which you will experience cabin glamping in the forest, enjoy slow flow and Yin yoga overlooking the space where the ocean meets the shore, combined with rituals and remedies that will nourish you, inside and out.
During the retreat, you will be staying at Bodega Ridge Resort. It is a magical deluxe log-cabin accommodation on British Columbia’s beautiful Galiano Island. Inside your private cabin, you will find all the creature comforts of home. Beyond your cedar deck, the wilds of the island beckon.
The seven charming self-contained log cabins are all equipped with three bedrooms, living room, full kitchen, and bath. Each cabin sleeps six comfortably and all bedrooms have a queen-size bed with dreamy pillow-top mattress.
You can enjoy the view from your cedar deck, have a long soak in the tub, or curl up in front of the wood stove. Each cabin is equipped with 3 private bedrooms, each with queen-sized beds, crisp white linens, fluffy pillows, and cozy Pendleton blankets.
Towels are provided and replenished upon request. In addition, handmade soaps made on island by Galiano Soapworks, complimentary firewood and kindling during cool months, stereos with iPod jacks, fully equipped kitchens with China flatware, utensils, pots, and pans, French press and drip coffee makers, and a morning’s supply of JJ Bean Railtown Blend dark coffee are also available in the resort.
On this retreat, Leah Adams will be guiding you through a full but relaxing weekend of thoughtful Slow Flow yoga, morning meditations, Yin yoga, workshop of dosha balancing teas and skin elixirs making, and more. This trip is open to people of all experiences and backgrounds.
In addition, you will sip warm tea by the fire and explore how you can use the map of the Ayurvedic doshas to tune into the wisdom of the body. You will recognize the qualities of the doshas that can support you in creating vibrant health and nourishing rituals to support your own unique needs.
There will be abundant time for napping, hiking, and personal reflection. You can also choose to embark on fishing charters, kayaking, mountain biking (high end Kona bikes are available on premises), guided hikes, and more. Yogascapes can make recommendations or handle arrangements.
