This yoga and meditation retreat in Iceland is designed for people with all levels of yoga and adventure experience: men, women, couples, best friends, old friends, and soon to be new friends. The goal is to connect as deeply as possible to nature and to the cultural core of the beautiful place. This trip is designed to give you a delicious taste of some of Iceland’s most extraordinary wonders, from the glaciers to the vibrant cozy city, to hot spring pools in the middle of nowhere, this trip is sure to bring wonder into your life!
For this retreat, you will be provided with seven nights accommodation. After arriving in Keflavik and visiting the Blue Lagoon, you will spend two nights at Icelandair Marina Hotel right by the port and easy access to the center of most things in Reykjavik. The rooms and hotel is quirky, fun, and very Icelandic.
Then you'll spend three nights at Ravenhill in small cottages at the end of a gorgeous valley. Here, you’ll eat in the communal house, play games in the lodge, and soak / sweat in the hot tub / sauna! It has a gorgeous yoga space.
Then you will journey to the magical Ion hotel for two nights where you’ll soak in their beautiful pool and surround ourselves in the quiet of the Icelandic nature.
Daily yoga practice in the global heartland of geothermal energy, meditation, hot spring soaks, glacier hikes and northern lights serve as the backdrop for this inspiring journey of inner and outer exploration.
You will get a diverse overview of this magical land as you travel to three different amazing hotels in three different locations, starting in south to explore glaciers and waterfalls, then you will move to a beautiful hotel in the cultural center of Reykjavik and finish at a favorite destination and what many Icelander’s calls the most magical place in Iceland. There are plenty of free time and optional trips that will make this escape customizable to all levels and interests.
You will be outside as much as possible, hiking to hot springs, walking in mossy fields, following rivers to see where they take you, climbing glaciers, and other related activities. Nothing that you do is mandatory but everything that have planned is irresistible.
This is not a “luxury yoga retreat” by any means, that is not why you go to Iceland, but do not be surprised if you fall in love with all of the charming places where you will stay in or the healthy food that you work hard to find in a country known mostly for its fermented shark meat and puffins.
Each day in Iceland is different. You will mostly do yoga only once a day, but some days you will have the time to do two and if the weather is nice you will throw in something in nature.
After arriving in Keflavik, you will head straight to the Blue Lagoon, and then return to Reykjavik for two nights or days. There, you will soak in the magic of this unique city. You will practice yoga at the local studio, eat delicious food, take day trips and explore the music and nightlife that is so abundant in this fantastic city. This is your time to explore on your own and do any optional excursions of your liking.
From Reykjavik, you will take a short flight north on Air Iceland to get away from the crowds and find solitude in nature at Ravenhill Lodge. From Ravenhill, you will have access to the beautiful Myvatn Hot Springs and surrounding natural wonders.
You will also have a day where you can take local hikes, relax in the hot tub or sauna, or go to the Beer Spa, an actual beer spa attached to a local brewery where your skin will be glowing after soaking in young hops, beer, yeast, glacier water, seawater and not to worry, a beer tap right next to the tub for unlimited drinks while soaking.
Then you will journey to the magical Ion Hotel for two nights where you will soak in their beautiful pool and surround yourselves in the quiet of the Icelandic nature. Hike to hot springs, discover waterfalls, eat bread baked in the ground, and end your wonderful retreat at this breathtaking venue.

This retreat will take place in Iceland.
During this retreat, you will have daily delicious Icelandic meals (two to three meals a day).
You may try optional spa treatments, whale watching, snorkeling, cave tours, and more.
Keflavík International Airport
Please book your flight to arrive at Reykjavik Airport (RKV) or Keflavik International Airport (KEF). The group pick-up from Keflavik International Airport (KEF) will depart promptly by 7:15 a.m. on the first day of the retreat, August 25. The meet-up spot is Joe & The Juice Cafe, located to the left after immigration and customs.
To make that shuttle, you will want to land by 6:45 a.m. If you miss this arrival window, you will be responsible for additional transportation costs. If you arrive before the 25th and would like to meet at the airport or Blue Lagoon, let Yogascapes know and they can help you plan.
