Itinerary

Day 1: Marrakech

• Arrival and settle-in
• 14:30 Riad check-in
• 17:00 Grounding circle and opening stretch
• 18:30 Get to know each other and meet Nour (the manager) and Nana (the yoga teacher) who will give you a briefing about the whole retreat
• 20:00 Dinner together

Day 2: Marrakesh - Telouat - Ait Benhaddou

• 07:30 Coffee and tea are available
• 08:00 - 09:00 Morning yoga and mindfulness session
• 09:30 Breakfast
• Start driving. You drive through the High Atlas Mountains enjoying the breathtaking nature and lush valleys of the traditional Berber villages. Enjoy several stops along the way for pictures
• Get to the Kasbah Glaoui (Telouat), have lunch first at one of the restaurants close, then a visit of the old Kasbah (kastal) with a local guide who is going to explain to you in details the history of it
• Continue driving to the UNESCO heritage site of Ait Ben Haddou
• Evening yoga session
• Dinner and accommodation in a traditional Kasbah

Day 3: Ait Ben Haddou - Ouarzazate - Agdz

• 07:30 Coffee and tea are available
• 08:00 Morning yoga and mindfulness session by the pool
• 09:00 Breakfast
• A tour in the Kasbah of Ait Ben Haddou with your guide Rachid who will tell you about the interesting history of the Kasbah in detail
• Lunch at the same little beautiful Kasbah
• Hit the road towards Agdez village, passing by Ouarzazate or what people call "Hollywood of Africa", and then pass an altitude of 1700 meters through the Anti Atlas, get to Agdez
• Evening yoga and mindfulness session
• Dinner and accommodation at a charming Riad

Day 4: Agdez - Zagora - Tamegroute - M'Hamid - Erg Chigaga

• 07:00 Coffee and tea are available
• 07:30 - 08:30 Morning yoga and mindfulness session
• 09:00 Breakfast
• Then, you'll start driving towards Tamegroute where you are going to discover Tamegroute’s ovens poured the emerald green glaze that is so easily seen on mosque tiles, dishes, and pots across Morocco. In the nearby Nassiria library, there is, among other things, a 10-year-old golden Koran and various contracts on astronomy, medicine, and Arabic poetry
• 13:00 You are going to get to the last village where the tarred road ends. You will have lunch there
• 15:00 Hit the dusty road for two hours to get to the desert camp in Erg Chigaga
• Dinner and accommodation in the camp

Day 5: Erg Chigaga

• 07:00 Coffee & tea are available
• 09:00 Breakfast
• The group will ride the camels to an oasis in the middle of the desert
• Morning yoga and Mindfulness session
• Picnic time, fun time, then you will have lunch there
• You drive to visit some local nomads, to discover their lifestyle while having a cup of tea with them, then back to the camp
• Evening yoga session
• Enjoy sand boarding if you like
• Watch the mind-blowing sunset on the highest dunes (Laabidlia Lakbira)
• Campfire and traditional music
• Dinner and accommodation at the camp

Day 6: Erg Chigaga - Foum Zguid - Tazenakht - Taroudant

• 07:30 Coffee and tea are available
• 08:00 - 09:00 Morning yoga and mindfulness session
• 09:30 Breakfast
• Drive towards the dried lake of Iriki
• Get to Foumzuguid, the first village where you join the civilization. You will have a lunch break there
• Take the route west to the village of Tazenakht which is famous for the huge selection of Berber carpets
• Get to Taroudante by the end of the afternoon
• Evening yoga session
• Dinner and accommodation at a nice hotel

Day 7: Taroudant - Agadir - Marrakech

• 07:30 Coffee and tea are available
• 08:30 - 09:30 Morning yoga and mindfulness session
• 10:00 Breakfast
• A guided tour around the city and within the ancient Berber souk, where you can find pottery, leather, spices, dried fruit, best in Morocco argan oil or honey, clothing, handicrafts, gold, and silver jewels
• Lunch in the coastal modern Agadir city, by the beach
• Get to Marrakech by the end of the afternoon
• Evening yoga session
• Farewell grounding
• Dinner and accommodation at a beautiful Riad

Day 8: Marrakech

• 07:30 Coffee and tea are available
• Check-out at 12:00
• On this day, for guests who will have still sometime before they fly back home they can catch up after breakfast the things they might have missed earlier in Marrakech
• The drivers will drop you off at the airport two hours before your flight departure time
• The yoga trip ends here

If you consider coming a day or two in advance, Your Morocco Yoga team will pick you up from the airport and provide you with all the assistance needed. The package will cover the majority of activities but you can also wander around by yourself in Marrakech.
